    Thank you for your deep understanding of the Tao Sifu Lee gave us. I’m a husky white guy but since I was 3 years old I wanted to be like Bruce, I’m 29 now and I’ve studied boxing, judo, karate, and wrestling. I am reading The Tao of JKD currently and it feels like it’s what I’ve worked towards understanding my whole life. My deepest appreciation for your videos which are serving as a visual aid to my training 🙏✌🏼

    07:00: I think it should be "way of the intercepting fist" ;) But still after 8 years of JKD training I find your video's very useful 🙏

    I train Boxing while keepung the "Jeet" concept in mind.
    and it works quite well in my light sparring sessions.
    I'll test it out in hard sparring soon.

    I saw on a video a Jiu-Jitsu guy abandoned JKD, because he got put on his butt and didn't know how to get up. He didn't understand JKD. What works on your back is Jiu-Jitsu Wrestling Judo grappling sombo etc, he just wasn't using it

    • @TreDay777
      @TreDay777 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Funny thing is... You can adapt BJJ into JKD to defend/fight when on the ground and get back up. Idk why people believe JKD only works when you are on your feet and the fight ends once on the ground. Just recover or endure it.

    I practice wing chun, but I think Jeet Kune Do is really good.
    But I just wouldn't be sure if I could move and counterattack very fluidly, I'm most likely going to get nervous and get thrashed under pressure

    Ok sifu..i have a another question..ive been studying jkd as well as w.c. for bout 6mntha now n only have 3 channels I truly watch n study from.heres my question..im in love with the w.c. concept and techniques..and the mental focus as well but at the same time I find myself incorporating jkd and w.c. together..ik this prolly isn't a good way to learn but I've found that I can still do w.c. techniques out of the jkd stance and still b centered..n just the opposite.is this normal,I love both styles n train 2-3 hrs a day between the two.is this a bad practice?

      way of the intercepting fist ha! Not really...we’ve got tons of drills, tactics and associated training beyond this stuff. This is the sort of thing we teach as our intro course when students get started. 😎. It’s sort of like the orientation class in college and the professor gives an overview.

If you are trained like mee then it becomes even more important to guard what comes out of the mouth see.
      When i do humor i am careful in doing it as a results.

    You're ( teacher on the left ) trapping..." pak-ing " the opponents forearm a lot...with only your fingers or fingertips. This is a bad technique because the opponent will punch, block, deflect or just MOVE right through it. You have little to no control of his arm using fingers only to pak. Use your palm and heel of the palm. Further, you will have MUCH more control...minimizing his arm mobility, if you trap the side of the elbow...upper forearm/elbow area. FYI.
