Two Brothers. Perhaps one of the greatest episodes in the history of TV itself, and nothing felt forced. It all flowed naturally as how Isayama writes it. Madness.
No one is going to risk losing a war just to save one kid. It's cruel, but it's reasonable. Colt was stupid and naive to expect Zeke to not scream. But it was a great scene imo, especially seeing that Zeke actually felt bad about doing something evil for the first time in the show.
Nile has been around since season 1. He was the one who had Erwin arrested when they cornered Annie and she started destroying the city of Stohess. He was also the one who refused to shut the gates on the citizens of wall Rose in season 3 part 1, when Erwin, Pixis, and Zachary tricked the fake king's council into revealing their true colors.
@@JamesxReactsit's normal to not remember a lot of side characters on your first watch. I'm sure you'd recognize him while reading the manga. He was a very well written side character.

We know from flashbacks that he was Erwin's best friend in the cadets and that they were both going to join the Scouts, but in the manga it is specified that Nile finally chose the Military Police because he had fallen in love with a girl, who is currently his wife and mother of his daughters. It was for that reason that he no longer wanted to risk losing his life to fight the titans. By the way, in the manga it's also mentioned that Erwin also fell in love with her, being the only time that Erwin really hesitated to join the Scouts to fulfill his mission to find out the truth (Nile knew it perfectly but he did not see any danger in Erwin taking the girl from him because he knew that Erwin's mission was more important to him than her).
Oublier un personnage aussi important, faut le faire exprès. Et c'est bien, lui qui a libéré aussi Falco un épisode avant, ça n'était pas il y a 50 épisodes. Le commandant des mp, c'est Naile simple à retenir franchement.

Although it was a mistake in the manga to have Porco wear the wings of freedom (when he infiltrated he was wearing the Garrison uniform initially) Mappa kept true to the manga and animated it like so. Some might say Porco dying with the Wings of Freedom meant he died a free Eldian.
Did you notice the long hair, beard, and nails Zeke had in the paths? That's how long he's been waiting for Eren to wake up (aka, waiting for Ymir to build his body), and that's also how much time he had to be able to manipulate Ymir and revoke the first king's vow..

Eren's "wait" was cuz he needed literally 1 second more to have Colt and Falco reach Zeke and do their dialog. It put everyone in the right spot, Gabi shooting Eren, EVERYTHING was calculated.

I think it would've worked if Historia was made into a Pure titan, because she'd basically be the same as Dina/smiling titan at that point, and we saw that Eren was able to use Founding titan powers (controlling pure titans) when he touched Dina's titan in the season 2 finale.
@@JamesxReacts The difference is, imo, Zeke doesn't actually possess the Founding titan, meaning he's not bound by the vow renouncing war like the Reiss family was (a vow which never affected Eren bc he's not royal), so Zeke is able to manipulate Ymir and the situation and overpower Eren's access to the Founding titan powers, whereas Frieda and Uri (and any royal who eats the Founding titan, remember Zeke never ate it) were controlled by the will of the first King of the walls who lived 100 years ago and fled with his people to the island in the first place. I know it's confusing as hell, but hopefully that clears some things up? 😅

So it is a really specific situation they found themselves in that enables them to do what they can do, or I guess Zeke mainly? A royal founding is able to speak to Ymir, but isn't able to make her do anything. A monkeys paw. You get these unfathomable powers, but are unable to use them. What Zeke now did is he found himself in a loophole of sorts to this problem, where he is the Royal, so is able to speak to Ymir, but isn't bound by the vow, so can also manipulate her as much as he wishes. Also Eren is in the Paths only because of Zeke, to be used as the loophole key. Is that right?
If Erwin were still alive, i definitley think Paradis' diplomatic efforts would have been way more aggressive, combined with outside the box strategies simliar to when they overthrew the government 4 years ago. Would've also loved to see him and Willy Tybur interact somehow. They both seemed to be each other's mental equal. I really do think Paradis needed a charismatic visionary like Erwin to handle the 4D political maneuvering. He's cool under pressure, and could help counteract the scheming of snakes like Zeke, Yelena, and the increasingly unhinged Eren.
Yes, Porco deserved a GOAT in this episode. I think all these years he blamed himself for being too weak and not getting a Titan in time to save his brother. And when he saw the memory, he was finally freed from the burden of his guilt. In fact, I really love how this generation of Warriors is unironically the older siblings for the kids. As for Annie not being able to do what Zeke did - honestly, I don't know. All I can say for sure is that it would be very hard for her to make any choice. And yes, Junior High incoming, hooray!
I'll just explain what you missed in this episode. The Path is another dimension where years can past in less one second in reality. Time is not the same into the Paths. That's why everytime someone use a titan's power, the transformation is made just in several second , where months can past in the Paths, for Ymir to sculpt the titan. Remember what Hange was saying in the first season. She thought titan were not what they looks like. And it's true. All titans are just sand sculpture, made by Ymir. So technically, Ymir is the metaphor of the author building his world. But she is also unslaved to this dimension named the Paths, where she build every titans. That's why she can even make weapons, the ones of the Warhammer. And it also mean she can build titans without a person inside ( maybe the titans of the walls ?). She can build everything and make it appear in the reality. She is like a godess of creation. But she is, for unknown reason, slaved to the royal blood. That's why Eren can't decide now how to use the Founding Titan. And with the fact Zeke touched Eren without having the Founding Titan, Zeke can nullify the vow renoncing war, and act freely into the Paths.

You want it to not be spoilery for other people, but also want it to make sense, be eye catching and most importantly be the best representation of the episode itself. With this one unfortunately, I tried like 20 different ones, and none worked. I think it's still missing enough context to be a proper spoiler imo, and it's just a picture. From experience, titles are the ones that ruin things usually
