The best thing I ever learned in life having CP and you probably have this with your brother is I don’t care what other people think they can think anything they want about anything about me or whatever doesn’t matter to me in the least. That might be just me but it certainly helps.
It is something to live by that’s for sure! David- my brother actually plays wheelchair rugby for GB! We are both living proof that disability or illnesses don’t have to end your life! You just have to find a new way of living! Hope you’re doing well Matt
Thank you so much. I have MS and have been on ISC for more years than I can count. I’m due to have my SPC on Friday due to poor hand control and persistent utis. Do you have any advice? What should I be asking? Thanks in advance.
Hope your suprapubic has gone well ! For me it’s been life-changing! I can’t imagine going back to the old methods. Surprised how little pain There is! Hope everything goes well for you!
@@mattm1686 it went absolutely fine. I had a couple of unscheduled tube changes but say nowt 🤫. Everything seems ok. I have developed a skin tag around it which keeps bleeding but isn’t causing problems. The district nurses don’t seem concerned.

I’ve had SPC for over 6 months I’m glad I got it only downside is mine sits pretty low and I get infections.
Talk to Dr about more Frequent tube changes may help and drink lots of water cranberry tablets also
@@mattm1686 I get tube changes every 4-5 weeks and now I do antibiotic installation which has helped with the infections so far

Are you able to lay on your stomach comfortably with your SPC?
My SPC is on jan 24 2022
