I have so much respect towards this woman, it must have been a difficult journey of recovery mentally and psychologically, but she's emerged stronger and I really admire her for that. Grief of losing a loved one really haunts people for the rest of their lives, but i'm so so comforted to see her being able to move on, and look at life with a positive light again. Her words are all so wise and i've really learnt a lot from this short video. Life is not always about bearing grudges and getting revenge, with a major part in recovery being forgiving and letting go, which this woman has done remarkable well. Once again, thank you for this meaningful video and the sharing! I will not forget this for a long time :)

That is an amazing story. Forgiveness is never an easy thing. I think she had every right to be sad, angry, any have all the emotions she was going through. I can't imagine what it is like to lose children in such a tragic circumstance. Her pain i could feel. He search for answers is important to her. Her faith has really tested her. And there is nothing wrong if she can't forgive. There is nothing wrong having all this grief holding her down. But with the love of her family, her church, and other children gives her that little extra strength. She will be able to help others who are going through grief.

I remember reading about the devastating accident and I remember her. All these years, I think about her from time to time, wondering if she is ok and wishing her well. I am glad to see her here and grateful to hear her laugh out loud. Thanks for producing this video. 🙏🏼

This made me cry. I remember this story. I was still living in Singapore when it happened. It was all over the news and so heartbreaking. This woman is so brave to be talking about what she/they went through. I can still see her pain, less intensely but still there. I was so moved when she started talking about forgiveness and her sons being in heaven. Her testimony is so powerful. God is your strength Auntie and He is watching over you. I lost my late brother a year after this incident. 6 years and the moment still feels so fresh. I still feel theres anger in my heart towards the driver that caused my brother’s life and watching this video, I held my heart and told myself to forgive him fully. Even as a stranger, i broke down a few times when the news were reported. I was angry with God...how can a good God allow this to happen. I vividly remember it was reported that Madam Hui Ni asked "you don't even leave 1 for me??" I still don't understand why...but seeing Mdm Hui Ni finding closure is a comfort to me

I remember Donovan was one of my friends in primary school, we were in the same class. I can only remember vividly that we talked about something tgt and that when we(rest of us) heard the news frm our teacher, I cried. It's sad that I don't really have any clear memories of him anymore since it's been quite a long time and that I was only P2.

Grief never goes away, we just learn to live with the pain. As a person who has experienced deaths of loved ones, we never really get over it or forget, we just learn to live without them, but always remembering them in our hearts.

Believing in a religion has various reasons and will vary depending on who u ask but the whole point of belief is the aspect of the unknown - this is why u believe instead of simply knowing.

Firstly , what an incredible woman she is. She’s such an inspiration of strength , hope and most important , faith. She told the narrative bravely. @Pretty Catmint seen US news where one young guy 20s murdered a WW2 veteran and get a death sentence, while a man murdered his whole family down to his youngest children and only got life sentence. I know law is the law, but the way how those people behind the court uphold the law really disgusts me sometimes.

I still can't believe just the other day I saw a similar cement truck passing by the exact junction on my way home... If u are an adult pls help raise this matter too, I honestly thought that these roads no longer allowed for such vehicles to access...
Really hope Drivers, riders and cyclist, especially heavy vehicles out there, can learn something from this video, it’s not easy to come out to share her story of losing her two beloved children, if we continue to drive in a reckless behaviour, innocent lives will be lost due to your negligence, one or two seconds of checking blind spot everytime will not hurt you. I am a rider myself on the road, and no matter how clear the roads are, I never fail to check my blind spots. It’s time for a wake up call out there.

I didn't lose my only daughter to an accident, there was no medical intervention other from any doctors for over a year despite the fact she was going to both her GP & hosp for help. It wasn't until she paid for a specialist, an xray and the taxi because by then she couldn't drive her vehicle nor walk properly she was stage 4 cancer, we lived 7 hrs apart and my heart ached for her. And like Hui Ni [I love her name because my daughter's name is Hui-nga] I had to choose to forgive the doctors and GP, it was hard to forgive at first due to her being my only daughter and we were very close. But to lose two children, my head and heart can't comprehend that. You are amazing Hui Ni, God's blessings over you.❤️❤️❤️ From Aotearoa NZ

I lived near where the incident happen and most of the time I had to cross the same road where it happened to get to the nearest MRT station, and every time I walked past there I always wonder how's the family doing right now..? Are they alright? Upon seeing this video today, I finally got my answer. May god bless their soul.
Humans' empathy is an amazing quality. Seen in her ability to see things from the driver's perspective and out ability to imagine the pain of loss from such a tragedy. I will always be in awe by her strength and compassion and could only aspire to have these qualities at such amazing degrees too. One could wish that more of us today in modern society have an iota of such empathy.
I attended the wake and i do think about them occassionally. My heart is still feeling for them. Yes, they will meet again in the name of Jesus Christ.

Her children are angel guardians of their mother and father. Great video. The gift of Life is so precious. We all do not know what will transpire with each day that we start, to have day end and be able to look forward to a tomorrow is like the 2nd chances that we get each opportunity to learn from today and make tomorrow better. Better for oneself, our loved ones, our neighbors and even foes.
My block is next to the road junction where this road accident happened. My mother saw the aftermath before the paramedics and ambulance came. The younger son is from my primary school. My deepest condolences to the family. Rest In Peace.

Damn.. I was still super young when the accident happened but the moment the words cement truck appeared I could immediately recall the accident because of how horrifying it was and the later punishment on the driver which I felt was like a slap on the wrist. Thank you for sharing!
The investigation reveals that there are blind spots where the driver cannot see the two kids. The driver is not negligent and it is really an accident. People need to know about such heavy vehicles having blind spots and stay far away frkm it to keep safe.

Seeing her reminds me of my father. He also forgive my brother's friend who killed my brother. He didn't even bring the case to the police. He said even though we imprisoned him, your brother will not back to life. That is the least thing we could do. He said if revenge is avenged with revenge, it will only stay in one circle, and there will be no end to that. If only i could as strong and bighearted as him.
1:20 Green man can cross red man cannot. But if there's a vehicle which doesn't do his part even it's green man for the pedestrian it's still the wrong time to cross. Shud include this part. Situational awareness is more important than blind law.
Can never forget this accident, the photos of this strong mother kneeling down, crying her heart out in her red mcdonald top. This case is also a big wake up call to the government to look into the roads, sg has too many similar roads that can cause potential accidents...
It's hard of course. It is negligence on the driver side. Maybe the driver feel bad and sad too. It is not drunk driving in this case , I think it will be even harder to forgive the driver if driver is under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
My condolences to this family. Please parents, teach the kids to cross properly, plus ask them to cross with adults if possible and if not, raising one or two hands while crossing also helps, coz eye level or a truck driver sometimes when too close they just cant see small kids.🙏🙏

I remember my last memory of him was being mad that he still hadn't returned me the 50 cents he owed me from a previous recess. Hold on to that coin brother.
i have 2 beloved cousins who drowned seconds before their mom (my aunt) and bystanders noticed and brought them to surface. it was a freak accident and im still in shock till today. My aunt is a very strong woman and was and still is, the pillar in her family. My uncle is going through severe depression but undergoing therapy. Their family (they have 3 other children) still mentions them as if they are still with us. I couldnt bring myself to step inside the church to see them then. Seeing this reminded me of them, and it really takes a lot away from a mother to go through with the death of her children. The sadness never goes away, but it just blends into life.

Just 2 weeks jail for the lives he took. The driver should at least apologise to the family. He is a father himself. I wouldn't be as magnanimous.
@Pretty Catmint seen US news where one young guy 20s murdered a WW2 veteran and get a death sentence, while a man murdered his whole family down to his youngest children and only got life sentence. I know law is the law, but the way how those people behind the court uphold the law really disgusts me sometimes.

This accident happened at tampines nearby my house. It is v sad that learnt the loss of 2 young kids. May solidarity be with her.

I still can't believe just the other day I saw a similar cement truck passing by the exact junction on my way home... If u are an adult pls help raise this matter too, I honestly thought that these roads no longer allowed for such vehicles to access...

Really hope Drivers, riders and cyclist, especially heavy vehicles out there, can learn something from this video, it’s not easy to come out to share her story of losing her two beloved children, if we continue to drive in a reckless behaviour, innocent lives will be lost due to your negligence, one or two seconds of checking blind spot everytime will not hurt you. I am a rider myself on the road, and no matter how clear the roads are, I never fail to check my blind spots. It’s time for a wake up call out there.

I didn't lose my only daughter to an accident, there was no medical intervention other from any doctors for over a year despite the fact she was going to both her GP & hosp for help. It wasn't until she paid for a specialist, an xray and the taxi because by then she couldn't drive her vehicle nor walk properly she was stage 4 cancer, we lived 7 hrs apart and my heart ached for her. And like Hui Ni [I love her name because my daughter's name is Hui-nga] I had to choose to forgive the doctors and GP, it was hard to forgive at first due to her being my only daughter and we were very close. But to lose two children, my head and heart can't comprehend that. You are amazing Hui Ni, God's blessings over you.❤️❤️❤️ From Aotearoa NZ

I lived near where the incident happen and most of the time I had to cross the same road where it happened to get to the nearest MRT station, and every time I walked past there I always wonder how's the family doing right now..? Are they alright? Upon seeing this video today, I finally got my answer. May god bless their soul.

Humans' empathy is an amazing quality. Seen in her ability to see things from the driver's perspective and out ability to imagine the pain of loss from such a tragedy. I will always be in awe by her strength and compassion and could only aspire to have these qualities at such amazing degrees too. One could wish that more of us today in modern society have an iota of such empathy.

As a driver myself, I can empathised with the driver. For a big vehicle, they have a lot of blind spots.
I attended the wake and i do think about them occassionally. My heart is still feeling for them.

My block is next to the road junction where this road accident happened. My mother saw the aftermath before the paramedics and ambulance came. The younger son is from my primary school. My deepest condolences to the family. Rest In Peace.

Damn.. I was still super young when the accident happened but the moment the words cement truck appeared I could immediately recall the accident because of how horrifying it was and the later punishment on the driver which I felt was like a slap on the wrist. Thank you for sharing!
The investigation reveals that there are blind spots where the driver cannot see the two kids. The driver is not negligent and it is really an accident. People need to know about such heavy vehicles having blind spots and stay far away frkm it to keep safe.

Seeing her reminds me of my father. He also forgive my brother's friend who killed my brother. He didn't even bring the case to the police. He said even though we imprisoned him, your brother will not back to life. That is the least thing we could do. He said if revenge is avenged with revenge, it will only stay in one circle, and there will be no end to that.

1:20 Green man can cross red man cannot. But if there's a vehicle which doesn't do his part even it's green man for the pedestrian it's still the wrong time to cross. Shud include this part. Situational awareness is more important than blind law.
Can never forget this accident, the photos of this strong mother kneeling down, crying her heart out in her red mcdonald top. This case is also a big wake up call to the government to look into the roads, sg has too many similar roads that can cause potential accidents...

It is not drunk driving in this case , I think it will be even harder to forgive the driver if driver is under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

My condolences to this family. Please parents, teach the kids to cross properly, plus ask them to cross with adults if possible and if not, raising one or two hands while crossing also helps, coz eye level or a truck driver sometimes when too close they just cant see small kids.🙏🙏

i have 2 beloved cousins who drowned seconds before their mom (my aunt) and bystanders noticed and brought them to surface. it was a freak accident and im still in shock till today. My aunt is a very strong woman and was and still is, the pillar in her family. My uncle is going through severe depression but undergoing therapy. Their family (they have 3 other children) still mentions them as if they are still with us. I couldnt bring myself to step inside the church to see them then. Seeing this reminded me of them, and it really takes a lot away from a mother to go through with the death of her children. The sadness never goes away, but it just blends into life.
