A tale of missed notifications. ;D Guys this was LOTS of fun to make I have to say, and I'd love to do more with this format. I'm currently working on the new Ds3 toon atm. Btw, I will give away the Storyboard and Wallpapers for this short to all my Patrons, regardless of what tier they are. Without their support, this short would never have seen the light that's for sure. I hope you enjoy it!

Matthew Shezmen That’s the thing. He didn’t. He went to the trouble of making a funny video. Rather than demand something from us, he offered something to us. It demonstrates why you may *want* to enable notifications, instead of just telling you that he wants you to do so. It’s respectful. Classy. I like it. So I subbed and clicked the bell. Because he earned it. It’s crazy how treating one’s (potential) viewers/fans/customers with a modicum of respect as if they’re actually semi-intelligent human beings who can make their own decisions and not slaves who exist to do your bidding because *you said so* seems to elicit a more positive response... Hm... Weird, man...

Yeah, that would be amazing! I spent most of my time with DkS1 in the series and it really grew on me. I hope we'll see a DkS1 Parody in the next 5 years.
When I saw this the first time I thought his sin was that he pirated the game, and Oswald was the Anti-cheat system built in to screw over people who committed the sin.
I wonder if Games today still use this.
Last time I seen a built in anti cheat into a game was in spyro 3. Where the game detects you are playing a pirated copy and blocks you from getting to end game. And after that it deletes your save... Talk about punishment

That’s a pretty cool idea actually. Gives pirates a demo, and they can buy the game (or do more advanced pirating) to progress.

This was almost the best part for me. Your comedic timing is amazing, and your jokes are incredibly relevant to the community, its really impressive. The idea that notifications should be separate from subscriptions is ... not a bad idea, per se, but not good either. Many sites let you customize notifications from users you follow, but it has to be implemented well.

Everything wrong thing with TH-cam that has occurred within the last decade, and why it's illogical.
1. TH-cam's algorithms.
While the algorithms make things efficient, they're not without hiccups content creators detest (most notably demonetization and copyright issues.)
2. That godforsaken bell.
If I subscribe to a channel it automatically means I WANT ALL notifications with regards to content on said channel, the bell doesn't improve or affect anything (except people's tempers because of how annoying it is).
3. The lack of love for our treasured content creators shown by our friendly neighborhood YT CEO.
Everything I've seen thus far, she doesn't even listen to or even work towards correcting and fixing this platform based on what our cherished content creators bring up. (User feedback exists for a reason)

Wonderful content creators like our artist here, who put up with the bull that has become YT to bring a smile to our faces each day (Or whenever they release their content, which in this case is well worth the waiting.) To be fair - NPCs in Dark Souls (even in 3rd chapter) doesn't move their mouth AT ALL during their dialogue parts outside cutscenes. Voice comes out - mouth is still shut.

This reminds me of a story I had regarding Dark Souls and especially Oswald the pardoner. One I had almost nearly forgotten about, until this little animation jump-started my memory.
So, get this, I had just gotten done helping a friend do their Artorias of the Abyss story, spending WAY more time than I'd care to mention down in the Chasm of the Abyss, fighting Manus over and over, until finally winning and deciding to take a much needed break. Unfortunately for me, I had decided to pay a visit to Oswald for some stuff, because invaders out the wahzoo, but then went to grab a drink afterwards. While still in the game. In front of Oswald.
See where this is going?
I come back just a little bit later, undisturbed by anything because 'big level', only for things to go immediately wrong. All that time in the chasm had more an effect than I thought. Because seeing an already creepy-looking guy, half-shrouded in shadow and standing there looking far more menacing than ever just...made something snap. And before I realized it, I was already swinging my 'Greatsword of Artorias' (cursed) into Oswald. By the time it hit me what I was doing, I was already past the point that he'd NOT be hostile to me anymore, so I had no choice but to 'Old Yeller' him. The rest of my playthrough was haunted with goody two-shoe justice-seekers and made NG+ that much more difficult for me.
Thanks Shez, for making me remember all that. Really. At least, hopefully, this was worth a chuckle for someone else.
Still, keep up the good work! Always enjoy it.
