In this video I'm at the top of Blackcomb mountain in Whistler, B.C, testing the GoPro 5 Black. We've had an amazing start to the season here in Whistler, getting almost 200cm's of snow in the last week! This is my first run of the season with the GoPro 5 Black. Let me know what you think of the video quality and if you have any questions! Thanks for watching!

Going to the Smoky Mountains to hopefully snowboard for the first time ever. I've always been an extreme sports kind of guy. I never enjoyed Basketball or Baseball or Football much.
I play tournament style paintball already and I LOVE it. It's the closest thing to an extreme sport I have ever done though.
Although the wildfire has hit Tennessee area but hopefully the smokies aren't affected to bad to the point to where I can't snowboard.
    But wish me luck!

Seen loads and they're awesome 👍🏻😊 I'm boarding this weekend for a week with the hero 5 which arrived yesterday.. now you've had time to play with it. What settings do you suggest for stabilisation and a good viewing aspect.. I see 2.7k works with IS at 60fps.. much appreciated..! Thanks again mate!! Gareth, Wales 🇬🇧🏂😊👍🏻

Hey Kevin! can you do a video on powder tips and tricks. Like what to do if you get stuck, or tips on how to unstrap/strap on to your bindings in pow! I'm from So cal so I don't get a lot of pow, and last week I went to mammoth and they got like 14"-30" of pow and I struggled on flat areas and being stuck and not being able to pull myself up after a fall!

Kevin, one more comment, can you evaluate and post review for the battery's performance. ideally it would be awesome if you can evaluate continuous shoot, multiple on/off cycles of shooting and maybe report on the effect of extreme conditions, like low temperature, etc.
I know I had to resort to dual chargers and quad pack of batteries for a day of riding because they kept dying after cumulative recording times of about 30 mins. that's three videos on a single batt - very poor.

Hey buddy, I have one off topic question.
Aren't you afraid when you snowboard between rocks and cliffs? I had an accident last year when I was going in the gorge between cliffs and I fell on the ground with my back, there was covered rock with snow, I hit it with my back right next to my back protection and I broke four ribs and ripped my lung. I mean I was careful but after that I will never go through these places. Just question if you count with these possibilities? :) Keep it up, love your videos and tutorials :)

I havr aleays loved to hit the off-trail runs (tree runs) at resorts, especially on pow days. But lately am always afraid of hitting a large rock or overturned tree, etc. I feel like there could be a big rock hidden by just a couple inches of snow that could result in serious injury. Is this a logical fear? and are there any tips for spotting/avoiding these obstacles?
