Love fishing the Causeway but the one reason I hate fishing here is the crazy amount of grass it can have on certain times of the year.

What do you recommend for a budget fishing rod and reel set up for sharks? I’ll be in port a and Portland but I wanted to catch a shark this week

@@tnafishing7 penn fierce 8000 and I set it up with 50lb mono back filling with 100lb braid
But I ran into a issue where I needed to make my own liters and I eventually just stuck with a 4 foot 275lb mono with a 13-0 hook
Used a 6oz weight but the current pulled back on it. Would drift when surf casting
Fish around the islands w/1/4oz jig and some gulp you wont be disappointed
Man I rarely use gulp but know its a fish magnet! Need to get a few bags!
