Back in 70s I worked downtown. My boss at the time was an old fella who really enjoyed fishing and eating fresh fish. Every morning he would fish along the Bayfront with a live shrimp on a treble hook under a lemon rig and every morning he would bring in several nice trout and clean them in the garage at work.
If you can fish, your ears can handle hearing a certain pattern of sound lol, i dont get why everyone thinks its virtuous to never say a few specific words lol
ok note to self, if ever in Corpus Christi go fish the abandoned marina next to the hospital with live shrimp on a slip rig to catch sheepers, uglies, and reds.
You made my breakfast here in Italy so much better with this monster catch. This is why I support you monthly. Your enthusiasm and spirit is great to see. I will go fishing tomorrow on the Brenta river near Venice and think of you.
I just found your channel. Great excitement without the cussing. I love that because I watch these videos with my 7 year old grandson. Great video! Allot of TH-camrs don’t realize young kids are watching. Excellent channel!!
Bro this is literally my favorite video you've ever published. You caught a straight up dinosaur, finessed him with the poisoned dragon dagger and got the max spec. Absolutely insane!!!!!!!!! My heart is beating fast after watching this! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Incredible drum! Thanks for taking me along on this adventure! Really enjoyed watching you land that monster Coop! You keep fishing and I'll keep watching, thanks for the show!
Hes a moron. "You wanna keep the fish as healthy as possible" as he literally jus drops the fish in the water upside down and lets it go. Guaranteed that fish died.
This brings back memories my father is retired Navy after his work shift I would have to walk after school to find him fishing by the pier once in a blue moon he would catch some crazy looking big fish...good times living and fishing around Japan... Luv the videos as always
Wow! I recall back during Spring Break 84 while everyone was on S. Padre Island, we were working the surf on Boca Chica Beach and my friend's father hooked a black drum about that on 14 lb test. Took him 1 hr to bring him in. He began to use the waves to help so the line wouldn't break. It was a great day.
Urban mission fishin’ is fun-So many spots folks pass up that hold great opportunities to catch some nice ones. I have quite a few holes in Galveston that I do well at times.
Thanks for this not being some clickbait crap and actually catching a bad ass fish. I wont name and names but theres an urban fishing channel that...yeah. Keep it up bro 🤙
Well Mr. Coop, you outdid yourself on this one, a true trophy on a 2k reel and what looks like an ultra light power 10 lb rod! great job, she was a gentle giant, there's no way you would have accomplished that with a same size grouper or jack. Keep the vids coming bud, us landlocked anglers sure do appreciate it.
Hey Coop Wow bro - what a great vid. You are the MAN - man So cool to see that monster and how he hit that shrimp. They are usually kind of picky on what they will eat. Really enjoyed that was one of the biggest drum I have seen. You did such a great job on keeping him on. I sometimes fish down town around the breakwater and would see nice size drum working of the rocks and sea wall but nothing like that giant boy. Tks again coop - keep them coming bro.
I love watching your videos they are always very inspiring. I used to keep all my fish but I have learned if you want to catch more and bigger fish sometimes they need to go back. Every once in awhile is fine. Keep it up I would say about 50 pounds maybe 60. Personally I fish for trout, steelhead or salmon in my area. Our local lakes are getting low so I try to give them more of a chance by fishing for other species.
Awesome fish! One day he's just chillin, munchin on some tasty barnacles, later that day he becomes a TH-cam star. Never know what the world has in store...
Love catching the big uglies. We go to cameron La pretty often and catch them by the truckloads... we never keep them, but they sure are fun to catch. Biggest we have caught is 62 pounds, and we use bass gear off the jetties.
Bro!!! That was awesome!! I personally fished the other side of that marina and caught a lot of really nice speckled trout on a black and chartreuse dsl minnow!!! Really recommend that spot!!!!
Hey thresher I’m gonna share something with u. At the end of those breakers there is a deep hole that we used to pull out huge specks 30+. Back in the 70’s maybe worth ur while to chk it out.
Here's a neat trick to try & it works!! Finger mullet live clip his dorsal top fin off & clip off the bottom half of its tail fin. Treble hook one prong just under under where it's top fin was. Ever use a spoon lure? It works based on silver silhouette bait fish constant flash. NOW SO DIES YOUR MULLET. It can't swim upright now and constantly flashes sulouett. Salt grass flats esp. If you score with a cast net? ALWAYS DO THIS. Cast it back in the school. Yours WILL BE singles out quickly
Excellent vid Coops. Tho I live in South Houston all my fishing is done between Galv and Sth Padre. These vids five me more places to investigate. Appreciated. And fine Big Ugly! Had a couple on my boat about 1/2 mile off of 61st Pier last week.
Great catch....for sure 25-30 plus.....But I respect the fact you acknowledged it is a old fish and let it go......I always felt if you survived all this time and got to that size then you deserve to live a longer life.....
👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥 That video was insane bro! Sight casting a huge drum like that. It's a wonder he didn't pull you off the wall. All I kept thinking was how is he gonna get it? Pays to be tall with long arms! Fantastic release. Thanks Coop for an awesome video. I'm gonna say 50#?
Dang Coop you could have said hello to my mom. She lives in those condos lol. Keep up the good work brother. Oh also that little marina got tore up from the hurricane a couple years ago and they are still repairing it.
I know exactly where your at, one of my dad's friends used to own a few of those boat slips and some of the condos at that complex, I never thought there was really any fish in that bay.

Good life
I love that despite how jacked you are in these insane fights, you still manage to avoid foul language! Thanks for the great content!
snowflake lol
FFS !
If you can fish, your ears can handle hearing a certain pattern of sound lol, i dont get why everyone thinks its virtuous to never say a few specific words lol

I just found your channel. Great excitement without the cussing. I love that because I watch these videos with my 7 year old grandson. Great video! Allot of TH-camrs don’t realize young kids are watching. Excellent channel!!
Not even exaggerating, that fish could be 40 years old. Nice catch!

Love how you keep the fishing in our back yard. Sweet!
What a monster fish. Big ups to you and also much respect on the way you kept the fish alive.
Dude, only you can bring us along on a terrific fishing tour AGAIN!!! Keep it real and thanks for the tips.
Dude you make the best fishing videos,, all the years I've been watching you, catch fish, it's always amazing,,

in a situation like that, I usually drag bigger fish to the beach, or anywhere where its shallow. Its simply less exhausting. Great catch.
That was such an amazing video coop keep it up :))
That was a BIG fish
Much credit to you for being a great sportsman and releasing that huge fish!
i"d fall in vertigo is so bad
When they are that big they are full or worms. The worms are edible, but still will freak you out seeing tons of white worms everywhere lol
Urban mission fishin’ is fun-So many spots folks pass up that hold great opportunities to catch some nice ones. I have quite a few holes in Galveston that I do well at times.
I cannot BELIEVE you caught that fish! Dude! I agree: your best video ever!!!
Thanks for this not being some clickbait crap and actually catching a bad ass fish. I wont name and names but theres an urban fishing channel that...yeah. Keep it up bro 🤙

Nice job Coop!!! Insane catch on the wall!! Bet there's some big flat boys laying in there as well!
That's what I was thinking. Bounce that shrimp up and down off the bottom right along the wall and you'll find out pretty quick.
Dude, that might be my new favorite catch of yours! Outstanding!
I felt my heart pumping as if it was me catching that fish! Awesome catch!! 🙌
Awesome catch 👏 keep up the great sportsmanship of cpr. Love ur videos Coop keep em rolling!

Great job keeping your composure when dealing with a fish that large in an area like that🤙🏻
That’s a biggie I caught one bigger than that on some cut bait and it was amazing that’s a awesome catch
Epic video! That was a huge BU. Nice backdrop and scenery. More vids in the downtown area.
Great fish, great job of landing that pig, and a fantastic video! Nicely done all the way around.
Nice catch! I caught one this past weekend while fishing for trout and reds, incidental catch but very appreciated PB on a plastic too.

Fish was 45"
I have lived in Texas for most of my life and have never heard of a city called downtown
Corpus christi tx. I don't know why he wouldn't put the city name.
Great trip, Downtown! Congrats on that Big Ugly! 💪💪💪
I came back to review this fine day you had. grazie.
Love catching the big uglies. We go to cameron La pretty often and catch them by the truckloads... we never keep them, but they sure are fun to catch. Biggest we have caught is 62 pounds, and we use bass gear off the jetties.

That looks like a SICK kayak spot! Absolutely awesome catch & release of the big ugly. Really fun video!
That was great. Keep mixing in some urban fishing for sure.

DUDE! YOUR CHANNEL BEAST!
Excellent vid Coops. Tho I live in South Houston all my fishing is done between Galv and Sth Padre. These vids five me more places to investigate. Appreciated. And fine Big Ugly! Had a couple on my boat about 1/2 mile off of 61st Pier last week.

Dang Coop you could have said hello to my mom. She lives in those condos lol. Keep up the good work brother. Oh also that little marina got tore up from the hurricane a couple years ago and they are still repairing it.
Great job Coop
Nice Drum!!! I would estimate 30-40 pounds with an accurate guess of about 35. They always look and feel like they weigh more
I know exactly where your at, one of my dad's friends used to own a few of those boat slips and some of the condos at that complex, I never thought there was really any fish in that bay.
Dude that was awesome!!
Question 4 ya what brand are your spikes and where did you buy them from thanks for any information
