This applies to everyone, not just teens! My sleep score (according to my Oura ring) has gone through the roof when I started following these ideas. My husband (age 70) has many of these health issues and spends hours watching TH-cam videos at night. Making these changes in our life is a long slow process but oh so worthwhile. Thank you so much for sharing these ideas.
Thanks Carrie, this is a great, easy to understand summary. I have been following circadian principles for awhile but this is video is great for sending on to family, friends for them to be able to understand the real world implications of blue light. Will probably send to teachers at my kids' school as well. One suggestion/request :), I would love to see additional information on how chronic blue light exposure during the day (from screens, from overhead lights, etc) is damaging as well. Again, mostly because I would like to send info on to my kids' school so they can see how improvements to the light environment at school (during daylight hours when kids are in attendance) can positively impact students.
It’s funny but it’s the reverse as you said it …seeing people using Bluetooth headphones looks stupid . Wired headphone people look smart. Love your content . Thank you
Ha! I often find myself thinking this, too! But we're all learning and doing the best we can. I just try to send positive hopes that all those people walking around in wireless headphones and such find out one day soon!
I love the info but am finding it very overwhelming to do. Especially when I use my phone or computer to learn more, communicate with others about these things etc. totally stressed out about it. Is there someway to simplify. Maybe a way to do phone and computer use that isn’t damaging, as much?
Outside for natural light (windows block infrared light) to still get those proper red and infrared signals, and some UV breaks where you get out of the shade and into the sun. And be grounded, feet in the dirt/grass. And then as Carrie mentioned, blue blocking apps and/or glasses in the evening.
Yep! Great suggestions from Noah. I have a whole list on my site at the link I'll provide here (around how to mitigate blue light). Never do too much at once-it's a good way to keep you from healing and overwhelming your nervous system anyway! Do something that feels manageable now and add on as you have capacity. Also, this is partially why I offer all of my courses in downloadable audio format so you can even listen "offline" in Airplane mode to avoid more nnEMFs. But again, just do what you're able to! As I always say, "consistent is better than perfect."
VivaRays is what Carrie wears and they're unisex/make ones for men. They're her top recommendation. Is there something specific "for men" you're looking for? - Team Carrie

Indeed! True for everyone! But critical for teens who are, in fact, more impacted by nnEMFs and blue light prior to the age of 25.

Wired headphones still conduct radiation. To avoid it, you need to use an air tube headset.
yes
Correct! Sometimes nuance can be hard to include when trying to fit everything in a short video. But this is true.
