"Playing Against Trans Women Is UNFAIR" Female Pool Player Who Walked Away From Final Speaks Out

  • Professional female pool player Lynne Pinches walked away from only the fourth final she'd ever made without playing a shot because her opponent was transgender.
    The issue of transgender athletes participating in women's sports has become a hotly debated topic in recent years. While there are differing opinions on the matter, many female athletes argue that allowing transgender individuals to compete against biological females creates an unfair advantage. These concerns are not only about physical differences but also encompass the psychological impact on female athletes. The debate centres around the need for a fair playing field and the protection of women's sports.
    Female athletes are expressing their concerns over the unfairness of competing against transgender players. They argue that, no matter how hard they train or practice, they will never be able to match the physical advantages that biological males possess. The creation of categories in sports was initially meant to ensure fairness, and allowing transgender individuals to compete against females undermines this principle. Female athletes believe that their hard work and dedication are being overshadowed by the inherent advantages that come with being biologically male.

    • @hughtube5154
      @hughtube5154 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      @ericthered2881 it's detailed in the video, from around the 8 min mark. But, to summarise: (assuming sexual averages. Note the word "sexual" not "gender", because the latter is a psychological construction, the former a biological one) greater cue power due to bigger muscles, meaning more chance to pot on the break; less chance of back issues as the trans wouldn't have had their breasts for as long, and haven't worn high heels for as long, both of which cause back problems; greater reach; longer fingers, aiding bridging over the balls; no menstrual distractions, or no hormonal issues caused by suspending the menstrual cycle via medication; no psychological trauma of facing a generally superior-at-sport sex; different field of vision. It's said the best cinema screen for a man is a square one, and the best for a woman is a rectangular one, the theory goes that men, evolutionarily, were the hunters and so needed to focus intensely on a smaller portion of terrain to spot prey, while woman, looking after the babies, needed a wider field of view to spot predators; greater testosterone, leading to more aggression, therefore greater competitiveness and quicker tissue regeneration, meaning transwomen can train longer and harder; larger lungs and heart, meaning greater stamina; larger feet, therefore greater stabilisation, especially if reaching.

Every single one of your points could apply to singers in a competition - why don't we have gendered singing competitions? Likewise, nilotics are on average taller and more suited to running than caucasians: should we divide running by race? Epicanthic folds allow one to see better in harsh sunlight: should we have a separate archery sport for East Asians? Mostly right. There are two categories in these kinds of sports (e.g. snooker, pool, darts): 'open to all', and 'ladies only'. It's easy to assume the 'open to all' category is 'the mens' because it's male-dominated, but these tournament rules don't prohibit women, they just seldom qualify. I can't remember who was analysing this recently, but they put it down to the level of sacrifice and commitment it takes to get to this standard as something women often choose not to do.

Those who have a Y chromosome tend to have vision that is better at focusing on a target. That is why having a Y chromosome gives an advantage in sports that involve focusing on targets (e.g. billiards, archery, shooting).

      @izoedyourbabydaddy7628 Your belief is irrelevant, the research shows that you can't mitigate the advantage from male puberty. The solution is simple, more categories need to be created and you don't have the right to force women to play against trans people. Women fought hard for their sports, nobody is stopping trans people from doing the same.

    • @izoedyourbabydaddy7628

      @@teecee2211 force means absence of choice. Woman can forfeit if they don't want to play against transwoman. And transwoman are fighting for the night to play sports as well. So how do they retain the advantages of male puberty but after hrt perform worse than they did before hrt?

    • @teecee2211
      @teecee2211 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @izoedyourbabydaddy7628 Trans people should fight for their own categories, trans women are men who have taken cross sex hormones. They are not women. That is the reality. If their performance is affected, that has nothing to do with women. Women fought for their sports and are still struggling with it. Go and read Unfair play by Sharon Davies and you will get more insights on what women had to endure for their own sports, and she outlines the science behind the fact that hormones doesn't mitigate male advantage.
