First of all, it is not at all unusual to put raisins into cheesecake, differing recipes and sht, but second of all, japanese cheesecake is very different from the cheesecake the westerncountries know. Its not a baked custard on biscuit or something, its made very differently with an ENTIRELY different recipe and process. Just because you arent used to raisins in cheesecake doesnt mean that people in that country, with an entirely different recipe that just happens to be called by the same name dont get to put raisins into it.
