the Higher performance tracks more sats meaning Way faster speeds and more stability

The difference in the High Performance base is wider because the dish is wider and provides better stability. If the base is attached and will not permit the dish to fall over, it probably is not a problem. the high performance base likely has greater lateral support.

I was hoping this was going to provide performance metrics.

Starlink has generated significant interest and excitement in the tech and internet connectivity communities. Its promise of providing high-speed internet access to remote and underserved areas is seen as a potential game-changer, especially for regions with limited access to traditional broadband options.

Good day. Can you come out with a sim card compatible for mobile phone users.

I have the original round dishy and just purchased the new high performance dish as they offered me $600 off. My original round dishy has a similar setup with the dish, then a power brick, then the router. The difference is that my round dishy uses all ethernet type cables, one is permanently connected to the dishy, plugs into power brick with ethernet, then ethernet to the router. I'll be happy if I can reuse my current roof mount as it will be rather easy to set it up in that case. Wish they gave me the deal over the summer. Not looking forward to going on the roof in late December as I live in central Maine. Anyways, Thanks for your video, it was helpful.

How did you install the starlink on the roof?

Give us a real world update on the performance difference. Would I get a better speed with the high performance.

Yes. Seems about 50% faster. But for me it was about the outages. They are less frequent. I video conference all day so has not been an issue. Did an 8 hour call during Nicole with no outages or loss of speed.

@@goingballisticmotion5455 Many thanks for the update. I am in Western NC. I have no ostructions - but just barely so. All my outages are "Network Issues" and very rarely "No Signal Received". What has been disappointing is the speed. I do see the 160 Meg down ocassionally, but mostly it is 36 to 67 Megs down and 1.5 to 4 Megs Up. I am wondering if the larger Dishy would really help this ? or is any Dishy limited to how many Satellites in can connect to at one time ? Do you know ? Thank you for your time in responding. Bill

@@WmDuffell I am seeing 140 to 253 Mbps Down, 15-30 Mbps up. Router to Internet. The only outages I see are normally Network and not satellite. And once or twice a day for a few seconds. Usually in the early AM. You should have slightly better coverage in NC vs. Florida. For Sats that is. Maybe the ground stations are an issue.

can I use ethernet v2 adapter with the high performance? lets say I wanted to use the starlink wifi adapter as well as ethernet.... looks like the high performance doesn't allow ethernet and wifi from starlink, looks like I have to go from power adapter via ethernet to my own 3rd party internet router.

It's more aerodynamic. As the earth spins there is air resistance, just like driving down the freeway. So, the new design allows less friction, which is always good.

I find the round chainring to be more aerodynamic.

That's a myth. The sun goes around the Earth. If the Earth were spinning the air would fly off into space. Its called empirical evidence. We democrats are the party of science.
