Optikin the Tesla Mall Robot. What is there to see?
In the Summer of 2023 Telsa began displaying a replica of the Optimus Teslabot in Tesla showrooms in major malls around the country, and worldwide. This Optimus Mannequin, or Optikin, is instructive on how the humanoid robots of the near future will work. This video is the introduction to a series of live presentations in Tesla showrooms to those curious about Optimus. Videos from those events, will follow.

40 Actuators: Teslabot Optimus Torso Movements CORRECTED
มุมมอง 3942 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we focus on the 2 actuators used to Lean and Twist the Optimus torso. The torso only has two actuators. One for lean left/right, and one for twist. Despite this however, by using the leg joints, it is possible for the torso to also bend forward. This is redundant usage of a set of actuators and simplifies complexity. The leg motion is highlighted to show the dual purpose. This wil...

UPDATE: This torso model is wrong. There will be a lean left-right. Corrected video is linked at end. In this video we focus on the 2 actuators used to Bend and Twist the Optimus torso. Just like the head, the torso cannot lean left or right. Only front to back and twist. Torso and head have similar motions, and the head motion is sometimes needed to counter or cancel the torso orientation. Cam...

Teslabot Optimus: Low Hanging Fruit Rotting on the Ground

What are the 'Low Hanging Fruit' applications for the Teslabot Optimus?These are the very easy early applications. This video demonstrates perhaps the easiest. The fruit is so low, it has already fallen on the ground and is rotting. At Tesla Giga Texas there is a cell for loading tires onto a conveyor from tire pallets placed on the floor. Operators use a lift assist to pick up tires one at a t...

    Starlink has generated significant interest and excitement in the tech and internet connectivity communities. Its promise of providing high-speed internet access to remote and underserved areas is seen as a potential game-changer, especially for regions with limited access to traditional broadband options.

    I have the original round dishy and just purchased the new high performance dish as they offered me $600 off. My original round dishy has a similar setup with the dish, then a power brick, then the router. The difference is that my round dishy uses all ethernet type cables, one is permanently connected to the dishy, plugs into power brick with ethernet, then ethernet to the router. I'll be happy if I can reuse my current roof mount as it will be rather easy to set it up in that case. Wish they gave me the deal over the summer. Not looking forward to going on the roof in late December as I live in central Maine. Anyways, Thanks for your video, it was helpful.

  • @TheGodSchema

    It's more aerodynamic. As the earth spins there is air resistance, just like driving down the freeway. So, the new design allows less friction, which is always good.

      Yes. Seems about 50% faster. But for me it was about the outages. They are less frequent. I video conference all day so has not been an issue. Did an 8 hour call during Nicole with no outages or loss of speed.

      @@goingballisticmotion5455 Many thanks for the update. I am in Western NC. I have no ostructions - but just barely so. All my outages are "Network Issues" and very rarely "No Signal Received". What has been disappointing is the speed. I do see the 160 Meg down ocassionally, but mostly it is 36 to 67 Megs down and 1.5 to 4 Megs Up. I am wondering if the larger Dishy would really help this ? or is any Dishy limited to how many Satellites in can connect to at one time ? Do you know ? Thank you for your time in responding. Bill

    • @goingballisticmotion5455
      @goingballisticmotion5455 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WmDuffell I am seeing 140 to 253 Mbps Down, 15-30 Mbps up. Router to Internet. The only outages I see are normally Network and not satellite. And once or twice a day for a few seconds. Usually in the early AM. You should have slightly better coverage in NC vs. Florida. For Sats that is. Maybe the ground stations are an issue.

  • @donrimel7500
    @donrimel7500 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The difference in the High Performance base is wider because the dish is wider and provides better stability. If the base is attached and will not permit the dish to fall over, it probably is not a problem. the high performance base likely has greater lateral support.

    • @goingballisticmotion5455

Some bits the voice audio was very hard to hear, probably due to your distance from the microphone combined with the echo in the room.
