can I use ethernet v2 adapter with the high performance? lets say I wanted to use the starlink wifi adapter as well as ethernet.... looks like the high performance doesn't allow ethernet and wifi from starlink, looks like I have to go from power adapter via ethernet to my own 3rd party internet router.

I live in the polar region and we barely have any satellites, I have the standard residential and experience 15-25 minutes of outages every 12 hours, I reached out to support to upgrade and now I’m hoping the high performance will help me out. Nice video sir! 🎉

Great few videos and Merry Christmas! Since you have had the new starlink dish for a couple months, is it worth the added cost? Any noticeable speed or reliability difference?

I have gen 1 that im happy with for everything other then gaming seems inconsistent with ping not sure if this would help. Have you noticed a difference with ping ?

I have the original round dishy and just purchased the new high performance dish as they offered me $600 off. My original round dishy has a similar setup with the dish, then a power brick, then the router. The difference is that my round dishy uses all ethernet type cables, one is permanently connected to the dishy, plugs into power brick with ethernet, then ethernet to the router. I'll be happy if I can reuse my current roof mount as it will be rather easy to set it up in that case. Wish they gave me the deal over the summer. Not looking forward to going on the roof in late December as I live in central Maine. Anyways, Thanks for your video, it was helpful.

How does the new dish compare with the old one in terms of speed and reliability? Why no speed tests? FYI, I tested Starlink Premium and it sucked big time compared with my existing Starlink Residential. It was slower and considerably more expensive.

It's more aerodynamic. As the earth spins there is air resistance, just like driving down the freeway. So, the new design allows less friction, which is always good.

This is dumb. You never compare performance. Waste of time.

Give us a real world update on the performance difference. Would I get a better speed with the high performance.

The difference in the High Performance base is wider because the dish is wider and provides better stability. If the base is attached and will not permit the dish to fall over, it probably is not a problem. the high performance base likely has greater lateral support.

Did you have issues in storms with the standard that have been resolved by or improved by the upgrade?

This video was really interesting, what I could hear of it anyways. Some bits the voice audio was very hard to hear, probably due to your distance from the microphone combined with the echo in the room. This would be greatly improved with a lapel clip personal microphone. Other than that, thank you for this video!

how has the newer dish performance been compared to the old one?

This feels incredibly familiar. Probably less glue smell though! 🤣 Good job Scott!
