    That was such an enjoyable video above that beautiful camera thank you 😍. You’ve got such a nice friendly and calm appearance especially in comparison to these business focused other TH-camrs sometimes and you got immediately a new subscriber. I’m also a Canon shooter and now buying into the Fuji gfx system so I hope to see a lot of nice content like this in the future 👏😊

    Great video! I hope Fuji will release a second version of the camera in the same body style with a fix of all main cants.

      Yeah, I really hope that Fuji will do that too but looking at the releases of their medium format cameras as well as the sales figure, it is very unlikely that they will release a successor to the 50R... But I really hope that they will... Thank you very much for watching and also for commenting, really appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)

      Apparently Fuji once stated that they will not continue with rangefinder mf in the future making the gfx 50r a camera that might hold value

    In my film only days, I used Nikon SLRs and a Leica rangefinder for my professional work. I am hoping to use the 50R with my inventory of Nikkor and Leitz lenses. If my full-frame lenses are unable to use the entire 33mm x 44mm sensor size, I would be happy to use the cropped 24x36mm image size.
    Even better would be if I could create a custom cropped 27x36mm image size.

      Yes, that would indeed be a nice option. I thank you very much for watching and also for sharing your experience and your suggestion, very much appreciated it. I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)

    Great video! I owned a xt-2 for a few years, love the camera. Is it worth to get the gfx 50r or 50s ii? Also plan to use it for personal life and street photography

      Definitely not a camera suited for Street photo in the typical NYC format. Much too slow moving

    I’ve owned the 50r since 2018 and the 100s since March 22. I love my 50r more than my 100s for its ergonomics and it’s feel. The 100s w the ibis is unbelievable in low light though…

    • @DavidCuhls
      @DavidCuhls  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah the 100s has really great IBIS in lowlight, especially for it's sensor size and resolution. But for some reason, just like you, I prefer the 50r as well. The ergonomics really appeals to me more and to be honest, the slow operation of this camera also appeals to me as well. :-) Thank you so much for watching and also for sharing your story/experience, really much appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)

      @@DavidCuhlsThank you David. I bought a grip which doubles as an L bracket for about 35.00US and I’ve had it on as long as I’ve had the camera. Might want to check them out. Happy Holidays!

      @@jorgemoro5476 I was thinking about getting the grip during my decision on getting the camera actually... But after buying the camera and having used it for a while now, I really love the grip better without the addition of an external grip... I know it sounds weird as everyone I know that use this camera prefer having the external grip on but I just like the feel of it better without the extern grip, hahaha... But thank you so much for your recommendation, really appreciated it. :-) Happy holidays to you too! :-)

    I use HSS when needed, , which makes up for the low sync speed.

    • @DavidCuhls
      @DavidCuhls  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that sometimes does make up for it depending on the lighting condition. :-) Thank you so much for watching as well as for commenting, very much appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting. Happy Holidays:-)

    When it comes to Fuji . . . whether you get a DX camera, or a medium format camera ...
    You always get one hell of a lot of camera for not a lot of money.

    studio photographers don't need high sync speed. it's only for when using flash on location.

    What do you use for your professional work?

    • @DavidCuhls
      @DavidCuhls  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually mainly use this camera for travel, street, more for personal life and when I hangout with friends (as mentioned in the video). Sure, you can use this camera for work and the results would be great but for me, I really enjoy using it more for personal photos. For work, I rely more on my canon eos r5, r6, r, 1DX, Sony a7iv, a7c, fuji x-t3 and x-t2. Hope that helps. Thank you very much for watching, I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)

    No one shows autofocus, whats it like for everyday?

    • @DavidCuhls
      @DavidCuhls  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Regarding the autofocusing system on a everyday usage scenario, as also mentioned in the video, this camera in general has a decent autofocusing system. It will get general autofocusing tasks done in general disciplinary field of photography. There are of course obvious weaknesses that the autofocusing system of this camera has. The autofocusing system will struggle to focus on subjects with complex patterns, it will also struggle with high contrast areas and also on moving subjects regardless of using bright lenses or not. Furthermore, just like other Fuji cameras in general, if the system thinks that a certain area in the frame is a face, it will be very confident and only try to focus on it and it is very hard to override that when in reality it can be just tree branches, a glass of water, etc. Then lowlighting situations (not even as low as an evening concert but in inside an old dark interior church during the day time), the autofocusing system can also struggle. I personally find it helpful to just use a single autofocusing point and/or a small zone focusing to help the camera focus in a certain area. That way, the camera would be less confused about where to focus in the scene. However, these weaknesses are subjected to the way that I use the camera. Every photographer will have a different scenario of using a camera, therefore, their experiences may vary and I am sure that if you use this camera, your experience would also be different from mine. I hope that this is helpful to a certain extent though. I thank you very much for watching, I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
