Zalmi Foundation Presents Young Girls Cricket Coaching Camp 2022 | Lahore

A partnership with US Consulate General & Pakistan Cricket Board for young schoo lgirls in KP & Punjab was created to empower Pakistani women, educate them about teamwork & leadership skills, and offer them core cricket coaching.
On the first day, as the participating young girls arrived in Lahore for the welcome dinner and kit distribution ceremony, officials of the Zalmi Foundation gave them an overview of the camp and its objectives. They received instructions from the official Pakistan Cricket Board coaches during the training session, where they learned the fundamentals of cricket, sportsmanship, and teamwork. They also interacted and made friendships with the participating girls from other provinces in addition to enjoying an exciting game of cricket. Additionally, they were given a tour of the National High-Performance Centre, where they had the opportunity to see the trophies and the wall of fame for the Pakistan Cricket Team's victories in 1992 and 2009.
Muhammad Akram, the Director of Cricket at Peshawar Zalmi , commended the girls' efforts and expressed his thoughts to the young aspiring women who he thought might one day represent Pakistan in international sports. Karl Rogers, the US Consulate General spokesperson, also expressed his views on how teamwork helps young people develop their leadership abilities and confidence.
The team of girls from KP won the title of Young Girls Cricket Coaching Camp 2022 and celebrated their win. Meanwhile, the Zalmi Foundation and other collaborators celebrated their victory over all forms of gender stereotypes, gender inequities, and other barriers to women's empowerment in our society.
