If you look statistically BYU was only a slightly lower offensive team but a much better defensive team than Kentucky. If Pope can do that at BYU I think we'll be fine. He also runs the Rick Pitino type offense which will be fun to watch. I'm really hyped

This year Kentucky will either "win by the 3" OR "lose by the 3". BYU's stats from KenPom - Every 2nd shot was a 3 pointer (50.4 3PA% which is 4th in the nation). Also by KenPom 41% of all points came from 3 pointers (that's 2nd in the nation). I'm not sure that this is my favorite style of ball to watch. Let's just say that it takes only 1 bad night of shooting in March if you play that style.

You guys clearly don't understand the arc of great coaches. Look at the majority of big name coaches; Mike K, Knight, Smith or other great coaches like Richardson, Self or Izzo. The universities trusted them without having a super resume, and the rest is history.

Cal wanted the job in 2007 and Mitch told him no because of the baggage then hired Gillespie. When 2009 roles around the doners took it out of Mitch's hands after Billy turned us down for 2ed time. If it wasn't for your donors, we would have never had Cal. If this turns bad, look for the same thing to happen. This is Mitch's last hire, no matter what.
