Holy cow...are you kidding me?? That intro was incredible. I'm in tears. I was wondering how you would preface your next video after such a sad loss. This was an even more inspiring tribute to Bo and to just the passing of time and the cycle of nature in general. That first shot my first thought was Wow...God's cathedral. And the fade into just the 2 remaining babies...wow. I had to stop the video and reply. I was going to send this to my sister who's never seen the northern lights. I was writing these are my friends who lost their dog. You guys truly do feel Ike friends. Weird I know! But I really look forward to hanging out with you guys on the weekends and so appreciate the work you put into the channel. OK. On with the video. 😆💞🙏💞

When I lived in Duluth, I saw the Northern Lights there as well. They were much more vivid in Alaska though. They are so beautiful! When I was stationed at Elmondorf, I lived in Base Housing and they provided block heaters for each house. We had to keep ours plugged in whenever we were at home. They didn't want any excuses as to why you couldn't get to work. 😄I was thinking about Bandit and I know he has to miss his brother. Bless his heart! Boy, if it's not one thing it's another. I know the two of you will get it all done. You both are great at fixing things. YUMMY, that chowder looks DELICIOUS! Eric & Arielle, I have to say, the two of you make some amazing videos. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us.

The lack of sleep before a driving trip might be somewhat doable now just please be careful as the years go by. Listen to your body and give it what it needs. I remember driving trips like you guys do at your age. Now I’m almost 60 and I physically can’t do that anymore without falling asleep at the wheel. Microsleep is a real thing and I’ve done it and witnessed it. I want to continue to watch both of you for many years as you live your great life sharing it with us. Coffee rules.

This episode has by far the best editing I have seen your folks do. It is poetic! First you have the northern lights swirling into beautiful flakes of snow. Then you have a fire storm in the sky that leads us into the swirling gases of your fireplace. You follow up another fireplace shot with the beautiful red in the sky. The drone shots of the frozen forest match beautifully with your music. Thanks for taking us along on your shopping trip to Fairbanks. You are road warriors who pause for a military convoy. Sorry that your beloved Bo has passed away. You folks take such good care of your animals. Take care Eh?

One quart of whipping cream at Meijer in Sycamore, Illinois is $5.99. But the gas prices are the same! The opening scene of the Aurora Borealis and choice of music was fantastic. Your channel is my absolute favorite, hands down. Thank you for taking us along on your Alaska adventures. Hugs and kisses to Bandit. He's so fortunate to have such loving humans.

As always, I am so impressed with the vistas I cannot imagine the beauty of the lights at night, and the stars are incredible. Thank you for sharing the drone footage. As much as I admire your work ethics, the willingness to go above and beyond in facing the struggles of everyday life where you live, as a 70-year old man I can pretend I am there while knowing it will never happen. Thank you.

I want to say “Thank You” for those views of the Northern Lights! It was more than twenty years ago that we visited Canada, and saw a very brief display of the lights - certainly nothing as dramatic as this. You have those views, but you also have some seriously cold weather, which I don’t think I could ever get used to. Australian summer days can be hot, but I would rather have them than the cold!
I hope the chicken broth was as enjoyable as you hoped, but please allow me to make a comment. At the 3:05 to 3:10 moments of the video, the feet of the hen were pointing up out of the saucepan. I feel sure that you washed them well, but it looked very much like the legs and toes were still covered by the scaly covering which the hen had while she was still in the hen-house. When I was a child, and I had to help with plucking a hen, pulling the feathers was not the most enjoyable part. I still remember (although it was 70 years ago) the part where I was able to strip the scaly skin from the legs and toes, and to “pop” the toe nails off. This was easily achievable after the legs had been scalded thoroughly prior to plucking.

They are both absolutely nuts and at the ending of the video she was telling the funny stories I can really see both of them doing that, but that's what makes it fun and that's why we're here because we love you both

Your mental fortitude is a force to be reckoned with 😊 weaker minds would have struggled with the loss of Bo, mechanical problems and canning issues all together, and though I’m sure it’s not easy, you’re an example to us all regarding positive mindset. Much love from France and looking forward to the next video!

That pink sky is what my family likes to call a "Sunset Alert!" moment because it's just so beautiful, everyone needs to stop and admire it for a few minutes. (Also applies to sunrises, but where our house is situated, it's always been far easier to notice things to the west, as the east has several very tall trees in the way.)
