fun fact, Japanese v-twins are not meant to sound like HDs. by lowering the idling RPM the oil pump can't properly lube the engine... the bike looks fantastic. ride safe, have fun
Unless its a single pin crank which honda has made and was evem sued by harley for making but ultimately lost because single pin cranks are common. How ever if its a duel pin than yeah you dont want to have the idle that low.

Nice! The 600 was definitely a little lacking on the highways which is why I eventually did get rid of it (mainly to fix my main ride that decided to blow out a gear).
I´m from Brazil, I lived 14 years in framingham MA , I had shadow ace 750 03, second owner. also 92 caddilac seville v8 . those was best bike and car I had in my life, 2018 I was deported and lost 14 years of my life. for a little beat almost came homeless.
Thanks! Unfortunately I sold it last summer in order to fix another bike, which ended up being a bigger pain and it still sitting broken lol. So maybe one day I will have to build another one.
Sweet bike…. Pick your shoulder up and straight back and then rest them down, you gotta be as sharp as the machinery we ride! Chest out and back tall like a tree
Thanks! Ha yeah, everyone likes to comment on that. I knew it would most likely be a topic of conversation. Basically, the bike was cold and wasn't ready to go yet, so rather than fight the stuttering I just blasted it and went.
I am also 6'3, so yes, you will fit just fine ha! The forward controls make it more comfortable than other cruisers IMO. My only complaint was there is a little lack of power with the 600 if you do a lot of highway riding. Cruises at 70 no problem, but much over that starts to over rev. It was awesome around town though.
Very beutiful bike, been looking into them but they seem a little uncomfortable to ride in for a long time for someone that is 5,11 or over, can someone tell me about it.
Thanks! I am 6'3" and the height was never an issue. Granted, I did move the seat back a little when I was building it. That said, the bobber style bike is never really going to be great for long rides due to the seat. This one has more cushioning than most, but after an hour, it's still a bit rough.
@jcurtiscustoms alright thanks for letting me know. I was just wondering because I live far from the closest town, but I still am considering getting one. thanks
That looks beautiful. Well done. What kind of tires are those? Also, are bobber bikes always a custom concept, or are there brands that make them from factory?
Not sure on the tires. They were on it when I bought the original. There are some brands that make something close to a bobber. Triumph has their Bonneville Bobber, Harley's closest is probably a sportster, Indian Scout and so on. They aren't this style though.
I honestly don't remember what they were. The person I bought the original from had just put new tires on, so I never had to mess with them after doing the rest of the customization.
Bro this is what I have but now I have a lot of things I need to do because I didn't no the people who had it NEVER took care of most things just let it go ???
That sucks. Luckily most things on motorcycles are easily salvaged / repaired as long as they aren't too rusted out. Carbs can be cleaned, shocks rebuilt, etc. Usually as long as the motor is good and the frame isn't destroyed, you can make something decent out of it.
Never burned a leg on this one, but definitely have on my victory. I honestly wish I could wear jeans but I have a skin sensitivity that makes it unbearable.
I made it. Was a pretty simple design so that I didn’t have to sew anything. A write up on the seat can be found here. jc-custom.com/2021/01/20/shadow-bobber-project-start/

Well, I am 6'3" 225, so pretty similar. I really enjoyed the fit. The only gripe I had with the bike is a little lack of power on the freeway. Great around town cruiser though.
@jcurtiscustoms yeah for sure. Thanks for the input, i keep being told things, and that this isnt for larger guys. Will probably change out the foot pegs to allow more leg room or something
@@oof578 Honestly, for the 96 VLX that this was built on, the controls were very comfortably far forward, but that could be because I moved the seat back haha.
