Update Sept 15. Chase Hughes' team reached out to me with an email. I'll paste it here. No name attached and false statements. I have seen no emails from them before this. Also, as I said in this video, I did send them an email three days before I made this video but got no response. Seems like their strategy is to make it seem like I'm behaving badly/immorally.
    Email from them:
    Zach,
Chase would like to get on a zoom call and answer any questions you have. We have tried repeatedly to get ahold of you and also reply to your TH-cam video to let you know, but you have repeatedly deleted and reported any comments we have made to notify you.
It’s not fair to Chase to slander his name, and not give him the opportunity to answer your questions. He teaches that you rise by lifting others, you have not shown one ounce of this to anyone. Please contact us.
    Kind Regards
    Support Team
    Email from me to them:
That's not true. For one, I have not seen any emails from you (please forward any you sent so I can see evidence you sent one to me, as it's possible I missed one) and I also have not deleted any comments on TH-cam.
It is a good and helpful thing IMO to let people know about Chase's many lies. If Chase would really like to talk to me for the show, then yes, I'm up for it. Just let me know the day/time that might work.
    Response from them:
May I ask exactly, what you think he is lying about so we can get these questions answered?
    Kind Regards,
    Support Team

18:29 ‘Never be put in the friends zone again.’
This term ‘the friends zone’ is famous for being untrue and complete bogus, no psychological researcher ever used that term.
People who do use that term, like Chase Hughes does here, expose their own level of interest in psychology, because the term ‘the friend zone’ is from the actual TV show Friends were it’s explained by their resident behavioral expert (but mostly just actor) Joey Tribiani.
Joey gives this great “insigh” because he thinks Ross waits too long to make some moves on Rachel.
Chase Hughes may have 20 years of experience of watching reruns of the TV show Friends, who knows?

I have acquired a ton of Chase's work. There is some great stuff in his books, courses, audiobooks, etc... Most of that stuff comes from other sources from the FBI, CIA, and behavioral psychology studies which can be found outside of his products. There is also a lot of repackaged NLP, covert hypnosis, and pickup techniques that have rather dubious claims. I have the OPS manual which is definitely not the best edited product I've ever purchased, but has some great stuff, interesting stuff, and some questionable stuff. The community can be a bit cultish as do many that surround social proof'd self-help leaders. Your video is surprising and I've definitely had some questions from personally being around Chase. If you would like more information, let me know. More transparency is good for us all! Nice work!

Thank you for the time and effort you put into researching Chase Hughes. I’ve watched some of his content and found him to be quite well-spoken, so was definitely caught off guard. It’s interesting how appearances on expert panels or interviews can significantly enhance someone's credibility.
I understand that launching a new business or product is challenging, but there’s a notable difference between reasonable embellishments and outright misrepresentation. Presenting a product with confidence is one thing, but claiming it is widely used by government entities and then suggesting it's not further produced due to military employment abroad makes the lie beyond obvious.
What’s most surprising is that these sales tactics seem to persist beyond what might be considered youthful mistakes. It’s a reminder of our vulnerability when consuming content without scrutiny and emphasizes the importance of being more discerning about our go-to content producers. Thanks again for shedding light on this, and also for promoting the internet archive! I‘m a new subscriber, and hope that you will keep going with similar content!

Just because Chase is an entrepreneur and made it to the top, makes "lesser" achievers seek out BS to make them sound "knowledgeable". Chase rocks his specialist field and will I not judge a man who followed many roads to find his passion. Isn't that what we all have done? Hello Zachary, I've been watching 'the behaviour panel' for years! And what always amazes me is how quickly the time flies when I'm immersed in their dialogue. This, to me, is always a good sign. As far as Chase Hughes as an individual is concerned, being just interested and not obsessed on any 'one' of them, I cannot differentiate between the 4. Oh yes they all bring different 'specialities' to the upload, but they work in harmony and together I think they produce a very entertaining and informative presentation. When I saw that Chase had uploaded a personal video I was not really interested, he's only a quarter of my enjoyment, but for some reason it kept popping up in my feed and feeling a bit bored on day I clicked it.
My God. Was I shocked. I could not stop thinking about it, everything he said came straight from his heart and I totally understood his diagnosis. He captivated me with his honesty. Where does he go from here? Hopefully, nowhere. He's still a valuable productive member of society and I truly wish him well. I'm all for people making videos to expose fraudsters....but I think Chases credentials speak for themselves and even if he was able to fool everyone for all these years, couldn't you have chosen a kinder time to put him through the wringer? I think they are all three very high quality, educational content focused mainly in true crime. They are sometimes in conflict in their perceptions and analysis with the Behavior Panel. A lot of True Crime yt channels focus their efforts on unsolved cases and if there is content for them to review it is used to support those analyses. TBH is just another one. Love how you were getting a kick/having a laugh 🤣 crazy how psychology is so often used for exploitation, whether by experts or people like Chase/the manosphere. Ultimately, the majority of psychology/psychological studies are not used to help individuals but to control people en masse. The experts work for corporations and governments and do their bidding. So, yes, Chase sure does look like someone of bad character. He would’ve fit right in if he only took the time to get his credentials! Now he keeps labelling himself as a neuroscientist lol. I suspect the latest brain condition is a front and cover story against possible litigation. I think the thing that turned me off to Chase Hughes - and the entire Behavior Panel - early on was his repeated brag that he was an expert in "enhanced interrogation techniques." That's terminology that was used back in the early 2000s instead of the word "torture." So. He has tortured people for a living? Couldn't stomach him after that.

Base line .. then deviations..whether it’s hyped up is my question… Whether it’s just entertainment or is actually measurable as to truth or not is my question..

Chase Hughes clearly states that the early period of his involvement with behavior profiling was to attract women. Both you and he agree on that. What is not provided by your extensive archive retrieval process is when, what, where and how his focus changed.
His pivot point came the USS Cole was attacked in the Persian Gulf by terrorists and his is best friend from bootcamp, was one of casualties. As an officer he was able ask his chain of command for the opportunity to review the intelligence information. The intelligence operations at that time were outdated. You assume, based on current examples you cite, his professional knowledge and influence within this area of specialty is small. This you do without substantiation. That is called insinuation. You seem focused on his post adolescent period when he entered military service. Since what he did is part of the military you have no transparency into his activities at any level. You assume his behavior at 22 is the same as an adult. Your only proofs are archival internet website infos from his post adolescent period when he entered military service.
You are rather lazy and your Zitation of current events is laughable, or completely missing. So, I suggest the reader of your podcast consider your options to be of little merit. You seem focused on his post adolescent period when he entered military service.
Global Gurus, the no. 1 ranking website for the world’s best thought leaders, teachers, trainers, and speakers globally and has a mission to improve education globally. His ranking stems from being chosen as the #1 body language expert, for several years.
You make no Zitations of services he provides to government, business, and private clients.
      Here is a closer look.
The Behavior Panel on TH-cam @TheBehaviorPanel has 960K subscribers and 331 videos.
The members of The Behavior Panel-Scott Rouse, Mark Bowden, Chase Hughes, and Greg Hartley-are indeed authors and have written several books collectively. Here’s a brief overview:
Scott Rouse: Known for his expertise in body language and behavioral analysis, Scott has authored books like “Understanding Body Language” and “The Elite Interview”.
Mark Bowden: Mark has written multiple books, including “Truth and Lies: What People Are Really Thinking” and "Tame the Primitive Brain: 28 Ways in 28 Days to Manage the Most Impulsive Behaviors at Work".
Chase Hughes: Chase is the author of “The Ellipsis Manual: Analysis and Engineering of Human Behavior” and "Six-Minute X-Ray: Rapid Behavior Profiling".
Greg Hartley: Greg has co-authored several books with Maryann Karinch, such as “The Art of Body Talk” and “Get People to Do What You Want”.
In total, they have written over a dozen books, each contributing valuable insights into body language, behavioral analysis, and communication.
It is my strong opinion: by focusing on his post-adolescent period when he entered military service, you make outrageous claims that are cherry-picked, and do not shed light on his current business activities. Furthermore, you lack professional education that would be needed to formulate such assessments.

What cognitive dissonance are you feeling? Do you think you'll be able to overcome it and reach a less emotional perspective? What would that look like? Is lashing out when you're angry part of a pattern in your life? Is that something you should work on? I hope you consider these things.

You can be an entrepreneur and still have talent. I think Chase is genuinely talented but didn't want to be held back by lack of paper qualifications. In showbusiness we say "Fake it till you make it." I worked as a professional singer for nine years. For at least five of those nine years I felt like I was lying when I called myself a professional singer. And there was no exact point where I became comfortable with the title. We create ourselves to a large degree and Chase is no exception, and that's not a bad thing. In fact it's exactly what he's teaching in those early books, isn't it?

You come across as jealous because Chase is doing well with his business and you’re not. I actually don’t care about Chase’s education, he’s entertaining and I think he has some very good points about body language. If he’s self taught he’s done a very good job of it. I’ve read Chase’s book, the Ellipsis Manual, and his education about understanding people’s behaviour and techniques for getting people to open up has significantly helped my practice as a doctor because I’m better able to tell when people are holding back information from me which then helps me gently question them so that I have the full clinical picture. I’ve made a number of diagnoses that I wouldn’t have been able to make without the understanding of human behaviour I’ve learned from Chase. I don’t use his education to manipulate people, which you clearly could do if you wanted to. But I do use it to augment my performance at work in my patients best interests. I really hope you end up being just a flash in the pan after this blows over, you don’t deserve to gain a bigger platform from content like this.

Some of Chase's "credentials" remind me of a volume that was popular in the late 1980's.
When I was in college, there was a business that published a periodical called "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities." Per their advertising: "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges is a national honor given to students from schools across the United States and the District of Columbia. The award recognizes academic excellence and is based on factors such as: Cumulative GPA, Campus involvement, Community service, Leadership, and Extracurricular activities..."
Essentially, this business makes money by charging parents and grandparents of students for copies of the annual volume. If the family purchases a copy of the volume, "Who's Who..." will print their student's name in the book. So, really, it is a list of students whose families bought a copy of the book. NOT exactly a prestigious honor. 🤪
I am a fan of THE BEHAVIOR PANEL, as a whole, NOT necessarily Chase Hughes.

Yeah, there are a lot of those kinds of things for sure. One must be skeptical of any sort of promoted list/org. One question for you, genuinely curious: does the fact that all of this stuff was easily findable about Chase, and fact that his experience seems to be smoke and mirrors, make you wonder about the quality of the other Behavior Panel experts? I mean, me personally, if I were going to work with someone, I'd vet them deeply myself, because their experience reflects on me. So I'm curious what you think this tells us about the other guys; and also about other people who have promoted him (like Dr. Phil).

@@PeopleWhoReadPeoplepodcast as an OG "panelist" (as they call their viewers), I'd like to leave my opinion here. I cannot say that it does not reflect on Mark, Greg and Scott. They all chose to associate with each other on a professional level and come under the same brand name as a whole unit. On the other hand, they are still different persons and I don't think either of them should be completely reduced to the credibility of another. For instance Mark has a professional British theatre background, or Greg was actually an interrogator, unlike top CEO pickup artist Chase. But I think if you have time, your investigation and presentation would be valuable to many people. As far as I see, you're not about outright bashing people or going on hater rants; you only do a research and present it with your opinions. That's fair. And I'd subscribe to watch your upcoming content.
