Trump's "military" statements taken out of context: How this relates to our polarization problem
For show notes, a transcript, and resources related to this, see behavior-podcast.com/taking-trumps-words-out-of-context-how-that-drives-conflict-and-even-helps-trump. In a Fox News interview, Trump was asked whether he thought there would be chaos and violence if he won the election, and his response included mentioning that, if necessary, the military might be needed. Many framed this response as indicating that Trump would go after his political opponents using the military, leaving out the context that he was responding to a question about election-related violence. I discuss what this incident can teach us about our toxic political divides.
I put some additional thoughts that occurred to me about this in the show notes here: behavior-podcast.com/taking-trumps-words-out-of-context-how-that-drives-conflict-and-even-helps-trump

I'm very happy to see that my intuïtion on Chase lead me here. His looks are indeed not bad but on many occasions I had questions when he stated his truths and knowledge. Chase, nor the rest of TBP, are good at questioning themselves and their conclusions. They pretend some things are 100% true which they never are. Plus indeed: dr. Phil? Chris Hansen? Really? If TBP is good at reading people, they should be able to spot disgusting, egotistic a**holes, pretending to do good.

He definately has some very encouraging things to say, and I'm actually putting some of the pointers to use. This doesn't mean that I'm grasping at what is presented as an opportunity to be very powerful in influencing others, instead, it means that I can use those pointers to better myself in human relations and in forming healthy habits, discipline, and focus. One thing I was very disappointed in was the Investigators panel analysis of the Gabby Petito case. I think every single woman watching that video where they got called over by the cops understood she was being abused, trying to mitigate the risks by taking the blame and afraid for her life. How did they manage to come to the conclusion the he was the victim and she was crazy? While I do think the are often correct about their reading of men, I think they completely miss the mark when it comes to reading women generally. Considering his involvement in pick up culture, this inability to read women is a little alarming. I don't dislike Chase and I do get a lot of useful information from his content, but everyone has a weakness and blind spot. Just to be aware.

Okay, so I have only made it to 8:20 mark of this video, for reference, BUT, chase in this "manual" is essentially describing MK Ultra aspects/techniques. SO my question is: Why in the actual F**k would you be wanting to promote that and furthermore to Teach people that!?!?!? And second question,,, Why would ANY psychologically sound human being WANT to do or have these abilities over another human being!?!?!?! Sick,,, just Fu**ing sick and twisted!! That's exactly why the masses are overall screwed and our world is sh*t. Because obviously,, as popular as Chase is,,, most people obviously want to control and manipulate others. WHY!?!?!?!!?? I have no ability to comprehend this mindset of needing relentless amounts of power of others🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ WTF!!!! Self-serving, hedonistic, and wicked humanity on a grand scale now.............. Nothing left to say....the long game magic trick has worked out well for that side............😔😔😞

First video I watched of yours was the chase video,,, and I thought you did a FANTASTIC Job with digging of his past info, presentation, and deducing the evidence 👏 🫡 I fully agree with you about a psychopathy element being a key component in him personally, especially after viewing the material in that video!!! I had come across chase a few times, once for his illness video (seizures he has), behavior panel excerpts, and a few shorts he's made for his latest project venture 🙄 Something definitely didn't sit right with me about him,,,, thus why I was highly interested in the video when it popped up in my suggestion feed (Your previous video about chase) So now I'm here for the next 1!!!!! Thank you for this informative video,,, I don't know of anyone else questioning his claims or motivations. People have a hard time when their reality or perception of others is even remotely shaken or presented an alternative way of viewing what they had known,,,, ESPECIALLY in western society. They like everything to be comfortable and believe that people are not inherently bad or deceptive and they are quick to lash out at the revealer,,, so don't take it personally,,, they prefer the delusion, that's all. Again,, I personally Thank You❤

EDIT: I do apologize for this book of a comment I've left here! I just got so darn mad!! I've caught Chase in a few inconsistencies on TBP. I've heard him say he's from Texas, but then he was on another episode, and said he was visiting family, right where he was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas? Scott was teasing him about the way he pronounced "milk", and said he could tell that Chase was back home, by his thicker accent. I noticed on his own channel, that he said when he found out about the brain disease he has, and what that "CHIROPRACTOR" had advised him to take (methylene blue), has somehow repaired his brain disease? That sounds like quack BS to me. Chiropractors are notorious for pretending they're medical doctors, and prescribing sh!t that's been on the market forever. Methylene blue has been on the market for years, and is prescribed for chronic pain, fibromyalgia, ME, depression, malaria, urinary tract infections, and methemoglobinemia. Today, its therapeutic applications extend to neurological conditions, and even anti-aging. and possibly dozens of other diseases, etc. Just look it up on Google, and see for yourself. It's been around for decades, and most information about it is on alternative health sites. In a series of recent online posts, fitness gurus have documented their experiences of using methylene blue-an industrial dye that evolved into a common treatment for the blood disorder methemoglobinemia-claiming the drug improved their cognitive performance and functioned as a “mitochondrial optimizer.” Needless to say that, in a health and wellness industry nearly saturated with pseudoscience, in which baseless claims abound, methylene blue is raising a few skeptical eyebrows. . I really lost respect for Chase at that point. Chase also claimed that when he found out about his "episodes", which from what I could get from the video, was 3-4 yrs ago, he began writing the Elipses Manual, or the OPS Manual, because he was afraid he would die before he could write it all down; all the knowledge he had in his head. He wanted his kids to safeguard this information, in the event that his health deteriorated. I don't know. It all sounds very sketchy. You can buy Methylene blue online from Amazon, and there is no shortage of places that tout it's health benefits, although without much scientific study or quantified results. I'm sure he'll be selling it on his web site, along with other healthy supplements, to his superfan girls, who call him "Tan Daddy". Ugh! OK, last thing. Speaking during one of the breaks in the show, he told the guys he had sent a text message to Joe Navarro for an answer, who is supposed to be like the Godfather of Behavior Science, and got a reply from him which Chase read out to the other guys. It seemed like kind of a dick move, like he was trying to let the other guys know that HE had Joe's personal phone#. It just rubbed me the wrong way, and I don't think it went over very well. The reply from Joe wasn't all that helpful, and was kind of a nothing, because all he had was a little clip to watch. Chase was just bragging, and it bugged me!

Just before I stumbled upon this video, which I haven't finished yet, I did ask myself why Hughes has this typical masterclass salesman business concept, about his ideas and methods, if he is the nr.1 expert. If he is used by the cia and the government to teach and indeed create the very methods that the cia uses, wouldn't the government throw money at him in order to have him keep teaching them and creating more methods, but also hsve him keep quiet about these invaluable concepts? Why does the mastermind behind cia methods go on lots of podcasts with a bunch of random youtubers to sell his ideas and put his links in their descriptions, if he is THE guy at Langley? If he is what he says that he is, then he is THE most valuable man at the cia, or one of THE guys, at least. He should not have time or care to have hour long sitdowns with 20 year old youtubers who thinks what he sells is interesting. And CIA should not want him to say a thing about it. It makes no sense.

@PeopleWhoReadPeoplepodcast to be fair, it seems like he is well versed in some basic concepts, and evidently made a nice little package he can sell. Probably useful to some. I would not be surpriced of some of the theories are several decade old concepts created by the real hughes of the mid-1900s, and probably not secret at all anymore, which is why he can sell it as his own without anyone giving a damn. But the real Hughes of today probably have 10 times more advanced ways of manipulate people and the masses, just look at what snowden made us aware of. What Hughes is selling on his site, must be to CIA what the simple old newtonian telescope is today for the NASA. It's still useful for the amateur astronomers as a first telescope, it will get you into some basics. But it's not the hubble telescope or the webb.

@@PeopleWhoReadPeoplepodcast that blue light stuff was eapecially a red flag. I thought, as I watched a sit down interview about lie detecting; why would they dedicate the last 20 minutes to this substance. And then I shrugged it off as a curious part of his life, that the interviewer wanted to cover, since it was a brain damage experience. But then another video with another dude interviewing him did the very same thing, they dedicate 20 minutes to this blue light stuff. So I then deducted, like sherlock holmes would have done, that he must have a side gig selling that substance. Didn't check it, I trust my sherlock brain. After all, I believe Chase was blinking a few more times per minute as he talked about it😮

This video was pre-filtered for common sense. It came with it. That was the service I provided here.

He sounds like a psychopath. Charming, deceptive, manipulative. Conveniently he has a type of epilepsy which is easy to fake. If someone tells you they are the no.1 in anything, run for the hills. He has no real credentials, yet claims to be all knowing. He presents himself as some kind of super-human but knows that won't hold up, so then he makes himself the victim (I have such a horrible medical condition!). But even within that "sad" story which he uses to get your empathy, he can't stop his self-aggrandizement. So even in his seizures he is gifted, and receives years worth of memories and knowledge... I'm no expert (lol), but I got all that just from watching about 5 minutes of his DRVN interview. It sounds to me like a psychopath trying very very hard to gain your trust by telling you all about psychopathy (or actually just mostly some pseudoscientiffic bs), hoping that you will think; "if he was a psychopath, he wouldn't be telling me this".

So what are your great qualifications to vet anyone's expertise? Seems like you're just kicking up dust for your 2890 subscribers. You say you're trying to be "unbiased" when the title of your video makes it clear that you're not.

I like what they do on the behavior panel but I don't idolize anyone so I wouldn't be shocked to find out that he has embellished, lied, on his resume some of these skills are just innate in people but that doesn't sit well with modern-day society unless you have certificates to post on the wall either way I appreciate anyone who brings something to the table that I find useful in my life and I always like to listen to point counterpoint to make my own conclusions

I am really disappointed finding all this out about Chase. I thought he was a stand up dude and was really rooting for him recently after finding out about his neurological illness. Not that i would wish him sickness now, still wish him healing, but im just disappointed he is not who I believed he was...
