  • Issue with the razer kraken v3 pro no sound
    Update 2 2/10/23:
    As suggested in the comments I turned off the lighting for the headset. It did correct the issue for the last couple days. I'll continue to monitor it to make sure it is a permanent fix.
    Update 5/4/22:
    I had it working for a good month and a half by uninstalling everything removing the drivers and only reinstalling synapse. If I installed any of the modules the problem would continue. Well a couple days ago they updated synapse and guess what its broken again. I'm past my return window time so now I'm stuck with a barely functional expensive headset.

    I have the EXACT same issue. Talked with razer many many times but they refuse to help me with this issue.

    I HAVE A FIX... sort of...
    I have noticed if you have Spotify open, play a song for a couple of seconds and then pause it, the issue goes away.
    I have been talking to support for a month now, their system won't let me attach my MSinfo so I am having a back and forth with them constantly.
    I found this fix today and so far it has been working, no audio cutout when changing applications, no cut out when there is no audio playing for 10 seconds.
    This is the best we can do for now until Razer takes their thumbs out their arses and fixes this mess!

      @@kingjames1860 Looks like it may have been fixed in the latest synapse update. I have had no issues or the need for Spotify for about a week now!

    i have several fixes: first try disabling the thx sh!t if you can bc it sounds like a55 anyways and it fvcks with the firmware or software i don't remember but i do rememember that it's a55. then try the on/off solution. if turning it off and turning it back on again doesn't work, then unplug the receiver and then turn them off. then turn them on first and plug the receiver in. if that doesn't work, shut off your computer and headphones completely, then turn the headphones on first. then plug the headphones into the computer with the usb-c provided by razer and turn the pc back on. if neither of these work, experiment with both and even mix it up! i'm actually serious because sometimes i have to crack the davinci code to get these sh!ts to work. it's gotten better over time with the updates but i still sometimes have issues. mainly be aware of if the headphones are on or off when you try these methods. messing with all that sh!t usually gets them to work for me, you just have to find what your headphones like.

      a simple fix is this "open synapse if you already haven't and close it through the task manager, it fixes the sound issue".

    I got used to it by just turning off and on from the headset button.
    But right now every time I move the wheel down to lower the volume, the right side of the speaker doesn’t work unless I raise it to the max.

    wow i got this headsets before like one month and i have the same issue, i faced allot of problems with razer and give them so much chances now its time to move on and change my setup to another company.

    I have been using Nari ultimate for 4 years. I bought the kraken v3 pro because I was very satisfied. All I wanted was a vibration motor .I can't even use the headset for 5 minutes now, the connection is constantly breaking, I have to turn it off and on. Paying half of my salary for 1 month, I also can't return it because I live in Turkey, I bought a tool that doesn't work by paying half of my monthly salary.

    This was a Synapse 3 firmware issue, it has been resolved and they work perfectly now!

      @@alexmalarick17 it doesnt charge full and headphone doesnt connect right away when i turn on computer. Audio quality randomly changes. It says THX SPATIAL but no sound coming out. Synapse keeps crashing

    Have the same problem. When I watching YT and the clip is end and play next - the sound is gone. This is my second pair of this headset (This is my second pair of these headphones (the previous ones were replaced with new ones under the warranty).

      A small update. I already have 3 pairs of Kraken and it's still the same. Once this is what you showed - not disappeared, two are these headphones do not like with my pc. Every few minutes I have no sound per second. Apparently nothing, but annoying and the same happens with each of the 3 pairs I had. I checked on another compiling and there was no problem.

    well guys if youve found this video like me your having the same problem a fix ive found is to have your headset lighting on static. seems if you have it one wave like in the video you have this problem. you could also disable the lighting which does it as well very bizzare.

      Someone suggested in the comments to turn the lighting effects off. Ever since I did that I have not had a issue with it.

    I like how people are saying razer fixed them due to synapse...1 year later its not even I kept having these problems after like a month of using these.
    It's so repetitive and annoying

    Well im here reading, because im on the same issue right now. Switched my wired kraken hyper sense for these since wanted to cut the cord. Sound is actually better with the wireless yet im having the same issue where its disconnecting after a few second of inactivity. Tried updating the headset and dongle but still seems to cut out. I use it to work from home, cant really be troubleshooting when im handling a call and audio goes out.

      Yeah I have both as well I'd just use the hypersense if it was as good as the pro but damn the pro sounds so good my issue is just the charging. I unplug it after saying it's fully charged and thenn it shows that it's not I get just about 3 hours of battery life with haptics

    I just purchased these today and I'm already on TH-cam looking for a fix. They keep disconnecting. I don't see anything in the manual about a disconnect feature. It isn't turning off to save power so I'm confused.

      i got them today and had the same issue. after i turned all the rgb off it didnt disconnect anymore you can try that

    I just got this product a few days ago which is a year after this video and it still has the same problem. I’m sending it back I’m not dealing with razer. Anyone know if the new 2023 blackshark v2 pro does the same thing or not??

      The only workaround I have found is to not have the lighting on the headset on. Other than that wait for razer to wake up and actually fix it someday...

    its synapse if you open task manager and shut down synapse it fixes the sound issue

    I got these and they have the same issue, even exchanged them twice. The charging is also bad, never reaches green/100%, it just charges indefinitely, which could cause problems. Synapse also sometimes crashes or does not appear. Also, if you install Synapse while having the USB dongle plugged in, the installer crashes lol. Just too many problems which blows because these have really great sound, comfort, design, build quality, and battery (with chroma/haptics off 44hrs).
    I then got the wired one, and the sound quality is real bad compared to the pro's. Also, they got a lot of popping sounds like I'm watching an old school film.
    Overall the Kraken V3 lineup had like 0 quality assurance control, because the blackshark v2 lineup doesn't have any of these issues. But I hate those cause they got no haptics or chroma and look silly IMO.

    Same problem here, seems like Razor is doing literally nothing to fix this. Too bad. Shouldnt happen with a 200 Euro headset.

    i have kind of the same problem, every time i turn on my computer, my headset doesnt work out, and i have to plug out and plug in the usb back, sometimes i have to turn it off and turn it back on. honestly, it start to be a pain in the a$$

    i had the same issue but i found a way to fix it so open razer synapse and click headset, then click power and turn off wireless power saving

      The best update is buy a different brand headset. I bought this about a month ago and have been the worst purchase I've made headset wise. Can't have the audio go quiet for more than 10 seconds or headset starts acting up and has to be restarted completely.

    Hi this issue is bug within synapse, closing synapse or disabling within synapse the THX will resolve this issue. Synapse should just unlock this feature for windows, so this additional option withing synapse will just mess with it.
    However how is your charging? Tried 2 headsets due to RMA and it never ended charging(green led blinking) and when replugged it continued from scratch to charge again(orange led blinking). And in synapse it was always showing even over night like 90%

      Thanks for the thought but I always had THX off in synapse and I tried using both sources the regular Kraken v3 pro source and the THX source and the same issue happens. Closing synapse does work but then I can not use my Tartarus Pro with my key bindings. I will probably just return them for a refund.

      @@jcmorales18 that what I did as well in the end due to charging issue. But disabling thx should work at least it worked for others. So maybe reinstall and then disabling it.
      I'm now trying to dig up from Razer via ticket if they fixed the charging finally. So far some guy responded me there yes it's fixed, but I need more info whether it is just some simple lie and they did not even saw all the tickets or they did actually do some fixes.

      i fixed it! I went into my sound settings, then the Sound control panel under Related settings, found the icon with the check mark and switched it to the kraken v3 pro option or maybe it was thx

    i found a solution, idk how long it will work. Uninstall razer, restart computer and just connect to Speaker (Razer Kraker pro V3). You dont need to install razer after this.

    I completely regret spending so much on this crap headset, I can't watch a video where audio go quiet for more than 10 seconds because then they don't work and have to be restarted. Super frustrating dealing with this issue

      I found out if I just want to watch youtube videos where I am going from video to video I just exit all synapse apps. Then they work fine, but once you start synapse again you get the issue. Unfortunately, I need to use synapse to use my Tartarus Pro correctly.

    グラボがNVIDIAならGeForce experienceのインスタントリプレイが邪魔してる可能性があります
    GeForce experienceバグ多いので
    一度それ切ってみてください
    それがダメならpc、もしくはマザボがkraken v3 proの相性が悪いので
    オーディオアンプを通したりオーディオインターフェースなどの変換器を通して使ったりすると行けたりします

    Its sad cause sound wise and quality wise its such a good headset I really like it but man synapse really just ruins razer products there is soo many issues with my kraken weather it wont charge, sound cuts off randomly, synpase wont detect it etc frusturating

    This headset is very bad.. the very metallic very bad audio.. the decent microphone.. very comfortable and excellent quality. but they are not worth it.. software is very confusing… in the end I was able to EQ and the audio was still bad for 200$… haptic mode is a headache and distorts too much. I do not recommend it. I expected more to be the year 2022.

    j'ai exactement ce problème aussi , je vais le renvoyer et en acheter un autre chez une autre marque, car le nari ultimate a des bug de THX Spatial , celui si semble fonctionner correctement a ce niveau par contre si il y a une pause dans le son, je n'ai plus rien tant que je ne re démare pas le casque, c'est abérent pour le prix
