    I think I have Ser and Estar pretty much understood, but I will watch your extra video anyway. You actually helped me with llevar (to take) v. tomar (to take) as well. Also, I think I have been doing this backwards by watching the English videos first then the Spanish immersion secondly. Your Spanish video was available first this time and I was "forced" to watch it first and concentrate on every word you say until the sentences made sense. Then when I watched the English version, I didn't seem to need much more clarification and I was happy. My formal classes introduce me to all these verbs, but YOU are teaching me how to use them in real "Spanish" life!

      Yay 🥳!!! I'm so happy that your listening is getting to that level! Yup, when I used to work at a school, we also introduced these verbs, but there was nothing about the real-life applications🤷‍♀

    I love your topics and teaching style, also it is unique compared to others. - I just found you on the internet and now am backtracking through all of your earlier lessons - thanks so much, I find learning Spanish frustrating, but also enjoyable at the same time. Your use of the "white board" makes it easy to understand.

      @@TellMeInSpanishEng Your VIVIR cheat sheet says "I WAS living" which would be in the past is "estaba viviendo" and that is not happening right now, it happened years ago...... I still need some clarification on iendo and ando because I'm a little confused thinking they must be only for present tense, but i am wrong it appears.

    I'm baaaack and I have 2 questions and i trust nobody except you ! Here is the sentence I'm asking about: "Mientras compras en Tepito, ¿debo llevar una cámara como esta?" My Questions: (1) WHY is compras not comprando and (2) why is it the infinitive "llevar" and not conjugated somehow, because it kinda reads like should i "too carry" UNLESS debo is considered a verb.... I typed this question into SpanishDict in English and this is what it gives me.

      I’m serious, I have never even used the word debo before, only debería.

    • @TellMeInSpanishEng
      @TellMeInSpanishEng  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      😂more important question why are you buying in Tepito?! 😂 Okay, let's be serious. So, 'deber' is a verb (yo debo, tú debes) and it takes infinitive verbs "Yo debo llevar la cámara" or 'tú debes llevar una cámara'' (you must take a camera). What are you trying to say on the first part of the sentence? Is the intention asking a friend "hey should I take a camera like this one so I can take pictures of you while you buy in Tepito?"...We use 'comprando' if the action is happening at the moment of speaking, like "estoy comprando en Tepito" (right now) 🙃

      I found the verb Deber in the 85 Verbs list I got from your website last night and figured that part out. I will finish from my laptop tonight when I get home from work. Conoces Tepito ???

      @@TellMeInSpanishEng Okay now I'm at home on my laptop. The question in English would have been, "While shopping in Tepito, should i take a camera like this ?"...... I have an American amigo living in Mexico City and was gonna ask this as a broma on a skype video call because it is a Canon full frame 5DII with a long Canon 70-200mm L lens on it... but i love the Tianguis in Tepito and do plan to go to both Tepito AND Mexico City in the summer of 2024.... but i will NOT be carrying a camera or taking a bunch of photos, lol.. and i just got my first tattoo (3 crosses on my neck) so I'm gonna fit in at Tepito no problem, i'm street smart and not a fancy dresser anyway :)
