Schooling in america just sucks. Profit>actually preparing people for the future.
In ninth grade and they have barely even taught us how to work an oven. Or anything really. Still the basic stuff which is pretty much just "kindergarten" but very slightly harder.
Most people don’t know this, but in my county, the health department will mail free condoms to anybody in the county. As long as your address lies within county boundaries, you can get a discrete package with condoms and packets of lube.
And, which country would that be?
Discrete? Now the county (authorities) has your name & address and know you are a sexually active minor.
@@richardfarwell6759 They probably already knows your name and adress... The fact that you are a sexually active teenager they probably don't give a damn about

Got my education from the internet… they didn’t even cover it in school.
Maybe we will have lower cost if we have universal health care?
Totally
If we could stop sending money to other countries and use government funds more efficiently that might be possible
Wtf this is stupid.
Just teach everything. The biological-medical part, the social part, how to prevent a pregnancy.
I mean wtf. Abstinence? Are you serious?
Why don't you let kids know about the medication that can be taken to prevent aids and hiv. It works.
So those in power can keep them under control. Then exploit them later in life.

Video title is already biased and most comments are based on it. If you watch the video it actually shows that despite believe differences states managed to tackle the most important task - reduction in sexual diseases and early pregnancies. I would say this is a great thing. Also, European approach is different country to country, same as each state in the US is different
Not so much, you just have to look at each state and their early pregnancy rates, and what they are allowed to teach.
Why is this on a channel generally dedicated to finance and business.
We don’t even have it at our school like its completely stupid you think they would do something after seeing so many pregnant people coming out of our school like my mother LIKE WHAT
Well, ed in general in the US is a joke, seeing as even reporters like yourself and guests keep saying "impact" instead of "effect/affect".
Education where you live is clearly a joke, because you don't realize that it is, in fact, a correct term to use.
Christ, there's nothing I love more than correcting a pedantic idiot.
@@userequaltoNull And nothing I love more than watching fools on the internet assertively and confidently say incorrect things and make fools of themselves in the process.
....why is the economic impact section so large?! The power to control ones life should be more than enough reason on it's own to incentivize changes to education
because policymakers don't care about the general public, they only care about dollar signs
When I send my kid to school, I want them to be curious about science and acquire useful skills, not to be curious about whom to sleep with.
Well, they’re going to be curious regardless of how they perform in school
Well they would be curious regardless so why not teach them how to be safe?
And yet all over the western world we have an infertility crisis. Adults are having kids later in life which in turn has its own set of more complications and challenges.
Or not having them at all, I certainly don't want kids
I dunno if you've noticed, but there are plenty of people on this plant. Probably too many. Cost of living is ever on the rise, lack of housing is a growing issue, we're beginning to see major problems due to climate change. I'd say preventing unwanted pregnancies is more important right now. It's pretty unlikely we're going to die out from an "infertility crisis" and more likely that the billions of us that exist now we will ruin the planet for human life in the future.
And waiting longer to have kids or opt to be childfree is still seen as a bad thing? With over 7 BILLION people on the planet, I hardly think having more freedom to decide the size of your family or opt out of childbearing altogether is gonna make a serious dent in the gene pool!

Learning that the girls have cudies is very important.
That's nice good morning 🌞
