Instea of throwing away any left over panko and flour, just mix it with some spices and add just enough eggwash to make it all moist. Then put the paste in a pan and fry it in one or two pieces.
My grandma thought me this and it became a favorite of mine. It is called "falsches Schnitzel" - fake Schnitzel/Porkchop. Please give it a try! 😁

Rofl... Satoshi playing with his meat! Om gods that was so funny! I store my used flour and bread crumbs in the freezer until I make the same meal again. This way I am only tossing out thr smallest amount possible. If I have enough egg left over, I scramble it up for my dog Snuggles. This is what I do to reduce food waste. Again this was a wonderful video. I love to watch both of you cook. 💜

I think I'm going to need to get Japanese cabbage sees, cabbages here in Australia are either much more dense and watery, or soft and almost limp, but those look lovely and crisp. Also, there's nothing wrong with wanting more cabbage, its a vegetable that's very good for you! And you guys use the best Worcestershire in my opinion! I absolutely need to make this! My children have loved all of your recipes so far!

In most of the state within US they don't have as great recycling programs to dispose of the old cooking oil. Some places will recycle it for biodiesel fuel. I remember in Okinawa my grandmother would use a chemical that would gelatinize the used oil and she could "recycle" it that way with less mess.

If you listen carefully, many times they say they haven't had any food during the day before filming and they almost always skip breakfast. Satoshi has black coffee, but it has virtually no calories. They basically do intermittent fasting and OMAD (one meal a day) and Shinichi does a low carb diet from time to time. I've lost 90lbs doing the same. They're not just Japanese, they are really conscious of the quality and the quantity of the food the have.
