Today's Video was all about Grenade Launcher. Honestly I felt good when i used this Support weapon!
Then i figure out how to take out Heavies in an Effective way!
I decided to blew chargers butt because It's easier for this type of Ammo to blow it up.
Then for Titans, well kill them in a simplest way.

Because it doesn't lol, look at the in game one and you'll actually laugh at how off it is.
Even before the rail gun nerf, I went back to the Noob Tube just because how it useful it was. I can stop bots before they even drop from their ship. I can stop bugs before they can take one step out of their breach. I can take out barracks from a distance. I can even go on a stealth run if I BLOW UP AN AREA'S ZIP CODE before they can call up an alert.
The only real problem was the titans and I can counter those with ran cannon or a well placed 500kg.
The Grenade Launcher is my primary weapon!

Why would the change to the rail gun even matter? They didn't change anything about the unsafe mode which is the only mode that's ever been worth using.
Grenade launcher is one of the best weapons at clearing hordes of enemies quick
i appreciate that you include gameplay of struggling a bit to gain space instead of only blowing up bugs
its worth noting with bile titans, popping their bile sacs will prevent them from stopping to spit, which makes them harder to hit with non-tracking orbitals

I think some context is missing.
Explosive damage does additional damage to green parts of the bugs (spewers, chargers, titans). That's why grenades are so effective
Also if you destroy the green part chargers stop charging and titans stop spewing. So it removes strengths of these enemies and makes them much weaker.
It gives context why grenade launcher is so good and helpful against these enemies. It won't kill then out right but it will make not a threat and let you finish them later

Absolutely love running grenade launchers with supply backpack and breaker. I feel like a walking cluster bomb air strike at all times. I usually have people make annoyed comments because I take the GL where EVERYONE has rail guns. But, I take the role of crowd control. (I play on automoton planets). With the backpack you are equiped with 110 grenades for your launcher and 20 regular grenades. Not counting your primary, you can absolutely rain hellfire down on an entire multi drop ship deployments. I've been in situations where 3 bot dropships come in at the same exact time and drop right next to each other, an entire horde of bots. With 2 full clips I stand there and just sweep from side to side, wiping all of them out. Press 5 to resupply from the backpack, reload and fire 1 more salvo. An entire platoon of bots dead in no time. For the heavier bots that I can't kill, that's what orbital laser is for.
You can get so good with the GL that you can take out bots at RANGE that are danger close to your squadmates, aiming just behind the bots, from hundreds of yards away, without hurting your squadmates. You ARE a rapid mortar launcher. No weapon comes close to rapid mob destruction over a wide area.

It is a well known S-tier Weapon that carried most people in higher difficulty before unlocking Railgun before the patch. It can help with doing objective as well as doing some crowd control while having good damage.

I say it's better than the Rail gun it can dispatch hordes of enemies alot faster and I can just use the orbital laser/Canon for the big unites

pair this with stun grenades with that resupply pack and you become a walking monster hunter.
Absolutely love the Grenade Launcher, running it with supply backpack lets you just saturate an area. I don't often try using it for Chargers because the ammo efficiency there isn't so great, but you can get away with it with the pack as long as all the chargers aren't agro'd on you. Personally I prefer to run the EAT alongside the Grenade Launcher to deal with them.

This literally changed how I use the GL. It was my favorite weapon but I had no idea how insanely powerful and useful close range ricochets were. Or that you could solo chargers by blowing out their backsides from the front.

It is heavily slept on because people for some really strange reason fixate over the ability of their support weapons to kill big enemies. And then they wonder why they're getting swarmed by the 5,000 enemies on the screen.

Anything that converts more people to the Church of the Grenade Launcher is good.
Even just one GL on the team makes the game that much easier.
GL+Shield backpack with stealth armor, a marksman rifle, orbital laser, and rocket pods is how I run bots solo

there's no better feeling than letting a quick "pew pew pew pew pew pew" rain down on an bot drop from distance, saving my advancing squad. i do love the autocannon as well, but it's always a pleasure coming back to my first love, the grenade launcher.
Grenade launcher is honestly S-tier in my opinion. It always has an answer to any problem with it's only drawback is its ammo and potential for team harm. A bad ricochet off of a random piece of armor can easily catch a teammate or even yourself. It's incredibly handy at clearing objectives and one salvo all but guarantees you kill a patrol party without raising an alarm. It's stellar on it's own and combos insanely well with almost every viable backpack in the game.
I love running it with the jumpack and being a speedy shock trooper/scout. You can get almost all the mats on a map and clear almost every bug nest solo (you just become heavily reliant on scrounging locations for ammo).

Excellent pairing to the Pummeler at the moments. No issues with health or ammo and Stuns everything not heavy enough.
Weapons and armor
-Scorcher (for killing medium enemies)
-Redeemer (for hunters)
-Stun grenades (for chargers, bile titans and hulk)
-Armor passive: +2 grenades
Stratagem
-Grenade Launcher (to clear horde)
-Supply pack (self explanatory)
-500kg bomb (for Elite enemies, stun then first then drop the bomb)
-Orbital Precision Strike (same, for killing heavy enemies while 500kg bomb is on cooldown, stun first then call it)
my favorite support weapon for bug. Still remember that one time when a hunter jump Infront of my line of sight and deflect the grenade shell back into my face
I had this last night.. but for whatever reason? the grenade did not explode on it. Nor me. Instead it bounced off to the side and rag dolled both of us sideways.
NGL I did not know this weapon even existed until I got to level 20. I never see it used ever and probably skipped over the text for it. I only realized it existed once I saw someone else use it on TH-cam.
This is my weapon of choice. Perfect for bug holes (you can close all 10 in the heavy nests) from a 'safe' distance. You can also close bot factories but the angle is awkward. But yeah, its glorious against breaches. Just stagger shots for when the emerge and you can kill most if not all of the mooks that spawn. Also good if a bot drop is over you, you can shoot the bots still in the dropship and kill them prior to landing... although that requires positioning and timing...
Only real issue I have had is ammo, but if you get good at using it, and swapping to primary/secondary when you have only one or two mooks left, you can conserve ammo well.

I kinda agree, it seems more designed to be better overall, but it takes a backpack slot and you need to stand still to reload (or need a buddy and stand still to shoot). That really hinders it. Seems like a good design by the game.
I’ve always thought the nadeluancher was top tier. It can close bugholes, 1 shot bike pukers, clear patrols, and allows you to run smoke grandes or fire. I love this thing

The grenade launcher is a fantastic weapon and has insane horde clear potential. It’s a must pick for any blitz type missions as it can clear entire bug nests or bot bases single-handedly with ease. This is an absolutely fantastic stratagem and paired with the fact that you unlock it relatively early game makes it exceptional. If you do not have this weapon pick it up. Just be careful not to kill yourself in the process with its splash damage

Its always fun to watch Bile and Nursing spewers get 2-3 shot by the GL. Also one of my favorite rhings is you can just aim down at Brood Guards to bypass the armor.

Ouu i like that. Already had run around with the Grenade Launcher and the Supply-Backpack, but now i wanna try the Stun-Grenades for this combo.
Since Stun-Grenades can´t blow up Bug Hives, the Grenade Launcher is a great replacement.

Hey man you’re a genius! Honestly I’m looking to retire the arc thrower, but this vid definitely gave me a good reason to give GL another try. My main issue with it was chargers(which tends to be the main issue for almost all weapons lol), but your method definitely looks cool and effective! And it gives me more reason to throw on a jumppack! Great vid man!
Use orbital laser/railcannon for the big guys then GL for the hordes and your unstoppable.

Great vids my man! Also some cool gameplay on your part . Making it look easy! I recently started using the arc thrower and I gotta tell you I love it! The balancing of the meta was a next level move on the devs part as other picks came to shine. So now instead of being salty just mix it up and see what works for you,and when that gets dull there's more viable choices . I gotta say it's a refreshing thing as these genre games tend to stick to the beaten path . Anyway keep up the good work ! For democracy!

Slugger is nice to crack head and leg armor on medium size bugs.
You can shoot chargers in the face with the GL and it kills them in 3 shots if they all land!

This is why i love the grenade launcher. I didnt think about using it on bile titans but it definitely makes quick work of its sacks either to finish it off with rail cannon or stop it from spewing. You done amazing job wayalicious showing off how you can properly use the ricochet mechanic to take down chargers specifically. Another banger my friend. Would love to play together sometime and lay some good ole damocracy on these bugs!

Bug holes , transmission towers and spore spewers all taken out from range with the GL with very little agro

- Indeed it is! I want it to feel more like a movie. But majority of the viewers wanted to view the Difficulty and with UI so I did it more immersive. Cinematic borders slowly turning into original screen Ui of the game.
If it didn't have such a small ammo count, basically making the supply backpack mandatory, it would be S-tier but as it stands after you kill one Charger and 3 Spewers you're done until the next resupply. Instead of using the grenade launcher with the supply pack you might prefer to go for the autocannon which has more firepower, accuracy, range and saves a strat slot.
Autocannon does not have the GL's ability to quickly decimate a whole horde of enemies because it has smaller and weaker AoE. GL is also much more spammable due to better recoil control. GL is also lighter so you can better sweep an area.
@@dunadan7136 yeah no. The GL is indefensible. Investing 2 slots and 2 strats to do nothing else but clear small and medium bugs, strictly at medium range, is mental.

Interesting story, please tell me how exactly is the Autocannon somehow magically more efficient than the GL at killing Chargers. Also bear in mind that the Autocannon has nowhere near the level of swarm clear that the GL has because the AC does not have nearly as much AoE damage, so you are likely going to be expending more shots anyway.
Two slots for being able to shut down 90% of a bug breach by myself and allowing my team to hold ground for extended periods of time? Yes please. Chargers are hardly a threat in team play. If there are multiple, group them and kill them all at once with Precision Strike with stuns. Bile Titans? Bait them then drop OPS and/or 500 kg.

Oh, and considering that Hunters are some of the most dangerous enemies on the bug front, I'd say being able to clear lots of small bugs quickly at range like Hunters is a pretty big deal.
Hunters are unironically a larger threat than Chargers if consideration is given to their numbers and speed. A lone Charger is nothing without his friends. Just disengage and re-engage from somewhere else, it's not like they're paying you to kill Chargers (usually). The GL also has strong burst firepower anyway, so you can do a lot of damage even with hit-and-run tactics.
@@dunadan7136 tbh your idea of the difference of aoe is wildly inaccurate and AC is a lot better against any sort of bot enemy. Considering hunters a big threat is just silly especially since you can't actually hit them with the GL once they get close. With that being said I wouldn't actually run AC vs bugs nor would I waste my support for chaff when the Incendiary Shotgun does such a marvelous job. I'm just saying the AC is still better than the GL in most circumstances.

Been using the grenade launcher for everything because it's so versatile but bug heavies were the inky thing I struggled on with it.
Glad to know there is a way to take out a charger but I just need to learn it.

This is inspiring.
The GL is kind of a jack of all trades support. It's decent at both wave clearing and big targets, but its not exceptional in either in comparison to its competition. When attacking big armored bug targets, it requires a lot of time, aim, and ammo (compared to Autocannon). When attacking groups of small enemies, its frequent reloads cause it to have a very short uptime (compared to say, Stalwart or MG) and at close range, its very awkward to use without blowing yourself up.
Nonetheless, it is crazy good for titans bc the explosive damage can hit both bile sacks at many different angles and explodes on impact v consistently if far enough away. I hate using it against chargers because if you don't stand still and aim carefully, the grenades may hit the armored legs and randomly ricochet into you, or they might bounce underneath the charger and explode way behind, missing completely. Also chargers require SO MANY GRENADES. I just prefer using the Autocannon/Railgun/AT of preference against their femurs

Ah yes my favorite weapon since level 5. I loved this game so much that i built a new gaming pc to play it again. Im already lvl50 on ps5 and unlocked everything. Grenade launcher will always be my queen💣❤️
I was a big fan of the GL/supply pack combo, but since bug spawns have been buffed in the latest patch, there’s been a HUGE increase in the number of those leaping Hunter bugs. The GL can pretty frustrating against them when you're constantly being swarmed. Found myself relying on my primary weapon alot more than I'm used to to avoid blowing myself up. At least on Helldiver difficulty, sure it's fine on lower difficulty still.
My main weapon. Don't rely on nothing that can't expolode

Ran this setup a lot, and still use it on automaton missions a good amount - the arc thrower has taken over the GL role on terminids for me.

What software do you use to create your thumbnails?
For the gun, I'm making the base model through blender. Then using that picture to improve it's quality and looks by generating it photo by photo through AI.
Putting it altogether in Canva.
Could be cool if you can change rounds from Grenade to Incendiary to Even Stun.

I have always loved the nade launcher but I stopped using it on harder difficulties because of chargers. I'm going to have to try it again. Love the bouncing. Lol

Dunno, I would prefer autocannon. No extra slot wasted for ammo BP. Mostly the same explosive effect. Armor piercing. Sniping from extremely long range.
I prefer having the backpack slot open but there isn’t a right answer.
I wouldn't consider ammo bp a waste considering it replenishes stims and grenades too, not just the GL. It's also really good for ammo hungry primary weapons and secondary weapons.
Referring to to the post i responded to saying they prefer the auto cannon which comes with a backpack to reload. I like the grenade launcher and supply pack combo but have been using other things lately.

Actually they have friendly enemy fire, a lot of time when chargers are charging at me, they die instantly to the titan bile's spew. And it works! 💯

Guys I’m almost lvl 50 and I never use railgun or shield generator. The best support weapons are grenade launcher, auto cannon and anti material rifle. You guys be watching bloodthirsty lord to much. This game is not about builds bro. This game is not about meta. It’s about how massive your balls are to face this problem for democracy. It’s about rallying up over 100 bugs and jumping in the middle of them with an orbital. It’s about THE BOYS
