Catching Giratina in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl

- Giratina is a dual-type Ghost/Dragon Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation IV that can be found in the Turnback Cave after getting the National Dex. To get to Giratina in the cave, always take the northern door.
Turnback Cave is a maze-like cave filled with dense fog which is home to the Legendary Pokémon Giratina. Turnback Cave is located at the north-central region of Sendoff Spring, which itself may only be accessed through the Spring Path. There is an inscription in the pillar in the room Giratina resides in that implies the cave is a location where the separation between the real world and the Distortion World is weaker.
When a player exits a room, the next will be randomly chosen from a selection of possible rooms. If the player walks out the door through which they entered a room, they will return to the entrance room; from the entrance room, the player can exit to Sendoff Spring. If the player navigates 30 rooms without finding the third pillar, the next door returns them to the entrance room. Escape Ropes and Dig cannot be used to escape. The inscription in the pillar at the entrance room reads:
...Past three pillars...to the sleeping... ...before 30 is surpassed...
After the player has found three pillar rooms, the next room will be Giratina's room. In Pokémon Platinum, Giratina will only be in this room if the player did not catch it in the Distortion World. If Giratina is not present, there will be an item each time it is reached, with the item depending on the number of rooms the player navigated to reach it: a Reaper Cloth if they reach it in 3 rooms, a Rare Bone if they reach it in 4 to 15, and a Stardust if they reach it in 16 to 30. When the player reaches a pillar and examines it two numbers will appear: the top number indicates which pillar the player is looking at, and the bottom indicates how many rooms the player passed through on the way to it. - เกม

When I first saw Giratina in pearl, I didn’t bring flash. Plus, it’s sprite was huge compared to other Pokémon at the time. So it scared the heck out of me! It’s new form and appearances in platinum didn’t help matters either. So while I have caught and trained it a few times, it’s still like the only Pokémon that still scares me every one in a while…

Sendoff Spring is the 4th Lake of Sinnoh really wish why we could have had a bigger backstory about it and why it was kept a secret its one of my favourite places in Sinnoh.
Probably because Giratina was a Pokémon not be spoken off in the past. Giratina's true role lies if The Lake Guardians can't subdue Dialga and Palkia

@@AdamDawson3 that is Giratina technically just not the fact that it lives in a lake. Should Uxie Mesprit and Azelf unable to subdue Dialga and Palkia it is up to Giratina to step up and do it for its own personal reasons
I also wonder why it’s so close to lake valor. Should have been a little more towards the middle of sinnoh or within mount coronet inside.

I also played Diamon and pearl and stumbled upon this cave And we all know before we face a legendary Pokémon we must go through various tests or trials that the legendary Pokémon created for us
Platinum shows that turnback cave is a gate to the distortion world alongside spear pillar.

There is a second encounter with Giratina in Ramanas Park. Though the difference is that you can't catch him the second time around.
a level 100 origin form encounter exists in ramanas park. you can't catch it but beating it will win you the griseous orb. the encounter takes place in the distortion world. its similar to how the ultra deep sea was present in sun and moon but was called ultra space and was only a small single area instead of many ultra space wilds in ultra sun and moon.

Also, Ramanas Park is a place to homage the "past", so it's awful that Masuda considers Platinum a thing of the past but not his mediocre games.

@@ultracreed3080 but, why second Giratina? Anyways, according to the developers they said there was no platinum content ... and that included Giratina's distortion form. If you have any theory, say it now, to give me hope that Giratina does not remain as Trophy pokemon, not knowing why it is there 2 times in the first place, without the post game, Delta episode style (in platinum even Cynthia explained in theory what it was and is Giratina its backstory and because it does things like kidnapping Cyrus who was about to destroy everything), for now I would only interpret this as the same deal with Zyrgarden who did not act within the story and is only there to be caught.

I will say, the new Giratina theme remix is really not too special, takes out a lot of good parts and effects from the original that I think other fan remixes cover much better. I mean, not a bad remix, but I was hoping for more, be that quality or similar feel to the original. It sounds cool and does some parts well but doesn't capture the same chaotic feel. I mean, I never actually planned to buy the game (I'm not much of a Pokemon person, I just like a lot of the concepts and music), I just wanted to see remixed distortion world music, which was pretty disappointing to me.
I do hope folks still enjoy the game! But yeah I can definitely agree with sentiments against it, at least in terms of the delivery of Platinum content (though in this case yeah the Giratina theme's still in the game, just not this fight, as was the case with the original game lol)
If they was to make a Platinum remake would it be called Perfect Platinum? :D
