Thank you. I am a homeowner and blew off two real estate agents one for not getting back to me in a timely matter and the second one for thinking that Her Saturdays were fun days. I found the perfect one who answered her phone and came out on a Saturday when that was the only time I could see her. These videos also help homeowners find the right agent.
I really appreciate you sharing this, it’s so good for agents to read what clients care about. Seems like you just want an agent that’s going to respect your time and actually work for their check which is the least one can ask for! Thank you for sharing
Getting your RE license is probably similar to signing a record deal: you sign to a label (brokerage), get a huge signing bonus (debt), and you think you’ve arrived. Come to find out, no one is going to tell you how the game actually works until you either A) find out after you fail, or B) you somehow manage to hang on long enough after being jerked around by experienced agents (doing their open houses, showing THEIR clients THEIR listings ect) and you get to a clearing in all the noise, and you finally learn what it really means to prospect and make real contacts, and how to stop wasting your time. If I knew back then what I know now, I don’t see how I could have responsibly pursued a career in Real Estate. And to all the people who write “hurtful” comments about Real Estate agents, you’re just mad because we make more money than you. The end.
so how do we learn how the game works without A or B? or are you saying we have to do one or the other and to suck it up if we want to make it essentially?
Most new RE agents (I should know) have no process in order as well as no time management skills. They get their license but don't know what to do next. Some are smart and get a mentor or join a team but other try to figure things out on their own and here comes the failure.
Here are the reasons why realtors are quitting in droves: Redfin, Opendoor, Express Homebuyers, Investor FSBOs, and soon many others offering real estate services for as low as 1% commission. Also, sleezy MORTGAGE LENDERS feeding leads to their favorite agents. This doesn't give approved borrowers an opportunity to look for and interview agents on their own! As soon as borrowers get approved by a lender, borrowers are just handed off to the lender's favorite realtor friends. How are new agents suppose to get any business? The NAR needs to do something about this. New agents MUST COMPLAIN to the authorities, because the lender-realtor relationship is squeezing out new agents and opportunities for them to get traction in their business. If you get a lead or prospect, NEVER send your lead into the wilderness on their own to get pre-approved by a lender. Your lead will just get stolen by another realtor who has a relationship with that lender. Lenders and realtors are giving each other leads. That is why so many new agents end up quitting.
I couldn’t disagree with this more man, its very rare for a lender to have a lead its usually the other way around and why wouldn’t they pass it on to their favorite realtor. When I was new i just established great relationships from the jump and never lost a client to a lenders referral
@@AramGhazaryan Thanks Aram. I'm a woman and a new agent. I thought because my prospect was a relative she was committed to me. For months, I had been asking her to get pre-approved by a lender so that we could go look for houses. She FINALLY gets pre-approved, and the lender who approved her convinces her that working with a new agent isn't a good choice and to instead choose the veteran agent that he assigned to her. You'd think family would put each other first. PEOPLE MUST TRUST AND INVEST IN NEW AGENTS. New agents are not working alone. We are usually with TEAMS of experienced agents at our brokerages. I told this relative this. And still, she went with a more experienced agent. I will NEVER see mortgage lenders in the same way again. Preparing to take the licensing exam, no one ever explained to me that I'd need to have "virtual coffee chats" with mortgage lenders all day long. That's not what I signed up to do. I signed up to help people buy and sell houses, not to be beholden to lenders, who are really acting like brokers in the real estate industry. Apparently, the buck stops with them. That's why I've since put my license in referral status. I'm still deciding if whether the lifestyle of a realtor, and everything that it takes to be successful, is something that I'm willing to do. So far, I'm very disappointed. This is not what I thought real estate was about, kissing up to lenders all day for leads. Besides that, it's truly the ole' boy network that I don't particularly care for. Also, there isn't enough diverse representation in real estate or clients who are willing to hire realtors of color. I'm noticing that too, especially in the luxury market where I wanted to mostly work. The more expensive the house, the more likely the client will just go to Sotheby's, Compass, or Christie's where there are hardly any agents of color on the payroll. I've looked at the staff pages on their websites. The lack of diversity is ridiculous. So, as a realtor of color gains more experience and desires to enter that exclusive market, what is there to look forward to or aspire towards?

I'm a former corporate finance/accounting guy that got into real estate (investing, prop. management). I am now practicing as a real estate sales agent. Your comment about dealing with other real estate agents is on point. I'm about the same age as you, and what I notice is that not all but many of people in our generation also suck. Suck with their finances, suck with their attitudes, not following up, etc. I purchased my home on my own two years ago with an older realtor because a younger one i tried to work with didn't follow up. Many of these new age realtors are social media celebrity types. they are the reason the realtor profession is losing its respect
I don’t think it’s an age thing bro but I can understand how younger people are less professional I’ve met so many old ones that truly suck as well! I think the barrier to entry is too low which is why we have this problem
Honestly, never knew agents were this bad. Test isnt hard but can take awhile. Taking my test next month. I have mentally prepping myself and developing the "entrepreneur mindset". Ready to hit the ground running.
Currently, 87% of real estate agents fail within the first five years. The average profile of an average real estate agent is a 49-year white woman. The majority are women and men are also in their 50s. The real estate license does not help for the first five years. The first five years are all about sales. They have no real sales skills. They are now faced with a real estate crash which will create lower prices and lower commissions. The real estate agents have split the commission 4 ways with the agent's broker. The costs for marketing materials and sales web cost and they often pay a desk fee. Until you hit 8 years full time you are doomed to failure. A tragic profession.
As a Financial and insurance agent, I often look to partner with real estate agents because I can sell an insurance product that works very well for homeowners and I think every homeowner should have if they or their spouse ever suffer an unforeseen this policy could perhaps replace someone’s income should they have to take time away from work to keep up with their mortgage. However when I explained this to a lot of agents they aren’t concerned about their clients after they sold them the home and if something in for seen happens they treat it as if it’s their problem rather than at least referring someone like myself.

This business is latterly one step above used car dealers. I can't wait to quit real-estate. Got a call from the cops after my first showing because the agent showing the home before me broke in through a window. Lots of shady people in this business. I can't wait to get out. Im only keeping my license to sell and buy my own properties at this point.
I didn’t get what happened in your example situation. 5 pages of repairs that didn’t make sense? Was that included in an offer coming at you as a listing agent? How did you handle it?
Could that be a problem with some potential clients? sure. But everyone has obstacles to overcome as an agent. Mine is social anxiety. Just use your strengths to your advantage and find ways to lead generate that fit your specific strengths. If you want to become a real estate agent, go for it. Don’t let obstacles to overcome become excuses to not start or quit. I know you were asking Aram, but I figured I’d throw my two cents in here. Wishing you all the best!
Just go for it who cares if you stutter that has nothing to do with doing anything in life believe in yourself….if you don’t believe in yourself neither will anyone else ‼️🤗
Honestly all three of these comments are amazing and spot on. I will add that it’s absolutely possible specially in this day in age where most correspondence is through text and email. I always find that owning your struggle actually sets you apart. If i was you id make my social handles the stuttering agent, its so unique!
I would like to know how did you make it through the first year as a real estate agent, i’ve been thinking about getting my real estate license but do you think that people that succeed are those who put full time work into it rather than part timers?
Its it infinitely easier when your full time and actually work hard. I made it through the first year by taking it day by day and doing uber to stay afloat
I saw where you said that you accepted an offer where the agent sent you a list of repairs. Has the market slowed a lot in Chicago? The market just keeps booming in the Nashville area
Sup Aram, I politely disagree. Let me explain. The title of this video should be, "Why Most Real Estate Agent's Suck" Because that's what the majority of the video talked about. Here are the "4 Reason Why Agents Fail In The Business" •Lack of clearly defined lead pillars •Not truly treating it like a business (ie, lack of consistency) •No Real Accountability •Quiting to early, it takes time to grow a business to a profitable state. Especially if your transitioning with a full time job. You did mention the points @3:45 "Not dedicated to craft" @5:00 "100%Solo" @5:05 "Starting a business" But you didn't elaborate, or mention quiting too early before the tree gives fruit. I've been in the business going on two years, and I've come across a tone of seasoned agents, who are terrible communators, and argumentative and they give the industry a bad name. So it isn't primarily partimers. Love your content, you inspire so many, including me. Keep up the good work. 🔥🔥🔥
You absolutely right! I just titled it this way for SEO purposes but I agree with all your points when it comes to failing in the business. One thing i will add that a lot of agents that are considered to be seasoned agents aren’t really that experienced they have just been doing it awhile but not necessarily well
“…and that’s why 80% of real estate agents suck!” 😂 lol thanks for all the information this will be extremely helpful knowing r.e agents can be slackers. Success takes dedication and resilience. Whatever work you put towards something always comes with a return. The more work the bigger the return. Best of luck to all the nubies(;
Aram Jan, hello brother, is it real to make it in real estate if you don’t have a lot of connections? I moved to the US just about 2 years ago so haven’t made a lot of connections yet. All the agents I know here in LA say that it’s extremely difficult if you don’t know many people. Thanks in advance bro. 🇦🇲✌️
Hopefully you reply - I’m planning on doing real estate as a part time thing to make college money. Do you think that I am most likely to fail because I’m not putting in %100 of my time even though I am taking it very seriously?
I don’t want to say you will fail because that’s discouraging but you will have a deck stacked against you, maybe if you focus on rentals that may yield a good result! I always reply 🙏
Any 100% commission job is going to filled with incompetent sharks type mentalities. I have literally decided to put my home search on hold for at least a year to avoid having deal with another incompetent agent. In commission jobs whether it's car salesmen or RE agents etc there's almost a #1 factor all of them share. Once you are respectful enough to tell them you have decided to hold off and or not buy at this time they turn rude, mostly not responding. I was nice enough to let them know, I could have ignored their calls/textx/emails but didn't. Dealt with a car salesmen once that actually responded saying he understood and to let him know I'm ready, and guess what? I went to him a year later and bought a car!! Common curtesy is lost with most RE agents and that's why they fail, on top of the other incompetencies.
Aram I watch all of your videos and honestly I really needed this one. I am 6 months in the business and I’m 19 years old. I’ve only closed one deal as of now which is very disappointing to me. My motivation has decreased in the last month or so and i’m trying to work my way out of this little hole I am in. At my age none of my friends care about work they just want to go out and have fun and I feel I have a pretty good balance of having fun but also making sacrifices for my business. I also feel age has hurt me currently possibly losing me out of some deals but in the future I will be very thankful I started when I did. Just wanted to say thank you for all your videos which help me so much. Keep grinding man!
Ive been where you are Paul just hang in there remember in this business you just have to survive long enough to thrive! Also focus on making new friends 🙏 thank you so much for sharing!
I disagree with this a lot of agents slowly build up to it, I being one of them I was always coachable checked my ego a year in, i always blame myself for my lack or success earlier on
YOU FAIL THE DAY YOU STOP TRYING! One of my agent's brother did 11 attempts on the exam to pass and now he is "THE TOP PRODUCER" in the brokerage. Guys, don't be disappointed if a below average sucking agent ( to me who hasn't made 6 figure in 3 years)tells you that after 3 attempts of failing exam you are dumb. DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE DUMB OR YOU SUCK! TAKE YOUR TIME BUT NEVER QUIT!!! YOU WILL GET THERE. STAY COMMITTED, MAKE MISTAKES. I don't get back to agents that i feel are dumb or not worth my business. First 30seconds and i make my decision. I don't waste my time because in my opinion they suck

That's all I am trying to say. You are very young and newbie, so i am sharing with you how to be a good mentor and not an as*hol*.
This breaks my heart experiences like this are unacceptable but unfortunately not uncommon that’s exactly why I wanted to make this video
What’s the difference between being a. Agent and being a guy who buys or makes a complex / big apartments and renting them
Its like asking what’s the difference between water and fire haha completely different career paths and businesses brother
The main criteria for a skilled estate agent is the ability to talk rubbish and lie
That might be your experience but that is not how the pros do it
I bought and sold properties. Never had a good experience with real Estate agents.
That is very sad to hear!
I didn’t get what happened in your example situation. 5 pages of repairs that didn’t make sense? Was that included in an offer coming at you as a listing agent? How did you handle it?
Basically they sent us the whole report and expected seller to fix everything, we countered with a credit instead and that was it
I'm a real estate photographer thinking about becoming a realtor as well. Have you seen anyone successfully do both?
Never even heard of it tbh I say go all in on one my man
I love real estate business and I'd like to be in it, but I do have stuttering issue.
Will that be a problem when working with a potential customer???
The only barriers to success are the ones you set yourself in your own head. Stop making excuses.
Honestly all three of these comments are amazing and spot on. I will add that it’s absolutely possible specially in this day in age where most correspondence is through text and email. I always find that owning your struggle actually sets you apart. If i was you id make my social handles the stuttering agent, its so unique!
Liked, commented, and subscribed. Studying for the exam now, these videos are super helpful. Thanks for the great content.
Thank you so much appreciate the love! Hope you pass that test
Loving this camera !! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you 🙏 between me and you its the same camera just adjusted the focus and got better lighting
@@AramGhazaryan No worries 😉 the world will never know ! lol
this so helpful
Thank you 🙏
I would like to know how did you make it through the first year as a real estate agent, i’ve been thinking about getting my real estate license but do you think that people that succeed are those who put full time work into it rather than part timers?
Its it infinitely easier when your full time and actually work hard. I made it through the first year by taking it day by day and doing uber to stay afloat
you should make a video about how to generate leads as new real estate agent
I think i have a few like but just didn’t title it like that
The real estate agent I was working with really did suck but then I did find out she was a prostitute on the side
literally sucked or figuratively 😅😂
How long have you been a realtor?
Since march of 2017 going on 7 years
I saw where you said that you accepted an offer where the agent sent you a list of repairs. Has the market slowed a lot in Chicago?
The market just keeps booming in the Nashville area
It has slowed down a bit but good homes are still getting multiple offers
“It’d you’re just signing up just to get a quick check, don’t do it. it’s getting annoying.” 😂
Amen to that 🙏 whoever said that is a genius lol
Sup Aram,
I politely disagree. Let me explain.
The title of this video should be, "Why Most Real Estate Agent's Suck"
Because that's what the majority of the video talked about. Here are the "4 Reason Why Agents Fail In The Business"
•Lack of clearly defined lead pillars
•Not truly treating it like a business (ie, lack of consistency)
•No Real Accountability
•Quiting to early, it takes time to grow a business to a profitable state. Especially if your transitioning with a full time job.
You did mention the points
@3:45 "Not dedicated to craft"
@5:00 "100%Solo"
@5:05 "Starting a business"
But you didn't elaborate, or mention quiting too early before the tree gives fruit.
One thing i will add that a lot of agents that are considered to be seasoned agents aren’t really that experienced they have just been doing it awhile but not necessarily well
“…and that’s why 80% of real estate agents suck!” 😂 lol thanks for all the information this will be extremely helpful knowing r.e agents can be slackers. Success takes dedication and resilience. Whatever work you put towards something always comes with a return. The more work the bigger the return. Best of luck to all the nubies(;
Exactly right its simple at the end of the day just takes time, hard work, and dedication as you said! Thank you for watching
What is all the work your talking about that realtor have to do?
Watch my daily vlogs its all documented there for you
You’re definitely not exaggerating about how long it takes the other agent to respond back 😂
Man it drives me crazy!!!
Baird & Warner and other Chicagoland brokerages offer I’m going training even throughout their first few transactions
Sorry not sure what you mean, are you asking if they offer training?
Aram Jan, hello brother, is it real to make it in real estate if you don’t have a lot of connections? I moved to the US just about 2 years ago so haven’t made a lot of connections yet. All the agents I know here in LA say that it’s extremely difficult if you don’t know many people. Thanks in advance bro. 🇦🇲✌️
Hi my brother its very difficult even if you have connection but its not impossible. You just gotta generate business a different way
Hopefully you reply - I’m planning on doing real estate as a part time thing to make college money.
I could not agree more!
Also focus on making new friends 🙏 thank you so much for sharing!
dude, youre 19 and you already closed a DEAL that’s awesome! im 19 and still trying to get my license 😂 you got this man
Hi I’m a freshman in college and thinking about dropping out for real estate any advice !?
Make sure you fully understand the business and what you’re signing up for then from there just go for it! Consistency is the magic formula
So true!
Thank you 🙏
Thanks bro
Always man!
All the agents who dont make $100,000 in two yrs suck. Reasons:
1. Uncoachable
2. Ego
3. Thinking everyone else suck. 😉
4. It's always them.
I disagree with this a lot of agents slowly build up to it, I being one of them I was always coachable checked my ego a year in, i always blame myself for my lack or success earlier on
@@AramGhazaryan ofcourse you disagree. You always will. Because to you it is "they" ... for me you are part of "they"
YOU FAIL THE DAY YOU STOP TRYING!
Great advice!
still repling to all comments?
Ofcourse!
Great video brotha, I totally agree!,
-To any agents reading this that have clients moving to San Antonio TX 📍 feel free to send them my way and we can workout a referral
That was smooth I love it!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♀️ Why did you have to do them like this??? It’s facts tho 👌🏽
It had to be said lol
helpful
Thank you 🙏
Nice vid Aram, maybe I’ll get my Illinois license so we can have a transaction together with no b.s 😂
I can’t wait I wish you luck and i look forward to the day!
Why is it that the moment people start making a little more money they become proud, arrogant and sucker. They start speaking like him and start disrespecting every body else forgetting where did he start as a sucker. Their language and tones become arrogant. This is sad you see a man growing from the beginning and he starts to suck when he starts making a bit of money. This guy did not even know what to do next once he closed his first deal... the buyer agent helped him in next steps....he didn't know what he was doing. Man I lost respect for you
Sounds like you’re just offended because maybe this hits home for you! I am very proud of myself for my achievements why would I hide that most people would be inspired not offended but that’s something you gotta work on not me! Thank you for watching anyways
@@AramGhazaryan man I am in this business 15 yrs... God has been grateful... you are right..its your pride talking... I could tell ... or you are desperate and had bad experience lost some money may be??!!.. that's why I said the moment people achieve a little they become arrogant... Humbleness and staying down to earth will take you far and high man!.. something I learnt from my dad ...and he is a billionaire

I'm not here for advice, I literally came here to laugh and point at the idiots trying to be real estate agents in 2023 but he this guy at 1:00 in claims to acknowledge the worst of the worst yet be begging to "like" and "subscribe" before he's even said anything 😂 what a joke.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you 😅😂
Lol craft
You’re a scammer bud

The worst of the worst try to become TH-camrs, aka you my friend
The worst of the worst are weirdos who leave negative comments and think their opinions matter haha 🤡
@@AramGhazaryan Speak for yourself with your 300 likes bud, your video is literally about hating on other people doing the same thing you're doing, not to mention replying to comments who are pointing out how bad your content and video presence is. I don't leave negative comments because you breathe air, it's cuz your video sucks, ever consider that? You're the only one making yourself look like a clown, and how old are you?
