I think a great idea would be to create a catalog with models of different ages and body types in different outfits. That would give your viewers an idea of what to look for. Before photos, showing the faux pas and then after photos with the right style, so we can see the difference with our own eyes.

I just want to say you can take this approach to a higher level that’s even more cool, positive, and acknowledges we still have a lot of great wardrobe, grooming, and style choices. I’m 61 years-old but your advice and style choices speak to me. I’m a little more conservative (not politically) but I enjoy seeing your choices. Do more of these.

Thanks! I have always dressed in classic style clothes. I buy good stuff and care for it well. A heavy friend once told me that he would always bite the bullet and wear the proper size. That goes for all of us, I think. I enjoy your posts!

I recently discovered "driving mocs." They're comfortable, so I tend to wear them a lot of the time now.

YES! You nailed it in this one. This is why I subscribe to your channel. When did I go from a guy who could walk into a store and find I could buy anything that looked good on me to suddenly feeling like the only offerings made me look like either I was trying too hard to be younger than I am or forced me to look and dress older than I am?? This one really speaks to the "middleness" of middle age. Thanks for what you do in this space!

I do wear the classic and high quality black and white tee shirts with jeans, chinos and shorts (not cargo). I think it's a good look when put together correctly for men over 40 like me.

I definitely agree on being ignored. And for me it's on two fronts. I'm 50. 6'1" and 285lbs. So I have the age and the size. I'm a blue collar guy, so I don't dress for work. But, I like to look nice and it's not the easiest thing. Thanks for the content, and keep up the great work!
I think your videos are great and very helpful, regardless of how women want to see men dress. One thing that you don't mention which I understand but is the truth, and that is staying thin helps enormously with how good clothes look on a man.

Dressing well helps some people accentuate their individual personality. It’s says “ I care about myself” just take care not to go overboard. Always be classy. Which is why I watch this channel. Great fashion advice. 👍🏻💯

Good to see, than anybody else like the combo VNeck-Sweater and plain white T...its one of my favorite looks :-)
Meanwhile i turned 60, but still love Chucks...the plain leather sneaker isn't so my thing....i find for me canvas is cooler.
But the moccasins are on my list.....
Great content as always John. Might you do some content on fashion dos/donts for new professionals. I’m 50. Over my career I routinely see young (and older men) wearing baggy dress shirts and slacks that they probably got at Kohl’s or Target thinking that it will suffice. I call them “Verizon salesmen” (from the 90s and 00s). And many times the shirt colors are god awful pastels with mix match ties and black slacks. Then there are the scuffed “dress shoes” that don’t get any up keep and attention. Keep up the great work, John!
all of u or most of u are Simps trying to look good for society and women and chasing that tail! spending all your hard earn money on clothes manicures, face lifts etc. your turning into a fe-male wimp! dont forget to buy your make-up and nylon panties!
In the future videos, can you go over brands of jeans and chinos that are slimmer from the knee down to the ankle. I have problems finding these type of styles. Thanks for your videos.

Thank you for this! I've found that when I look good, I feel better. One thing that I've found when it comes to shirts (NOT PANTS) is that 'big is comfortable'. So guys, don't be afraid to go one size up when it comes to shirts. This might be a good idea anyway, b/c when we do laundry it will probably shrink a little anyway.

This is packed with great information. I think a lot of men get fit wrong regardless of age. Also hanging on to trends from youth is another mistake, I know you covered that in another video. Lastly listening to others and not your self.

You hit the nail on the head. The online pundits either label you as immature or they say you dress like an old man. Guys like The Style O.G. somehow navigate this minefield well, but it's very difficult at times.
During this pandemic, my frequent visit at my local Walmart had me discover "George". They make decent polo shirt and nice Chino shorts for very low prices.
Their v-neck t-shirts are good quality too

Really enjoy the content and quality of the production of the videos. I find the audio really echoey though. Admittedly I’m most often watching on an iPad so that may be part of the reason.
