    What I like about your course, Jeremy is that you keep focused and cut out a lot of unnecessary scabs. You get to the point and your course is very easy to follow. Once followed with intent, with other references. We will not only pass the CCNA but really assimilate the material in a way that would truly educate us on the subject. Thank you Jeremy.

    you could have figured out the network addresses between the routers using a tracert command between all of the PC's and comparing their number of hops starting network, ending network and the different IP addresses they used for a next hop as well, you couldn't figure out the subnet mask to my knowledge doing it that way but it would be a good exercise in troubleshooting.

    • @SBlazeable
      @SBlazeable ปีที่แล้ว

      for example going to pc1, pc 3 would go through r3 & r1 if it had two hops and a destination but if it had three hops and a destination then we know it went from r3 to r2 then to r1 and finally to pc1 and in order we would know what those interfaces IP addresses are in a tracert

    Hi Jeremy, do you see it possible that if BFD is configured too agressive, and the line is overutilized, the BGP hello packets might drop and will make HSRP switch between the two routers, thinking that the BGP adjacency has gone down?

    • @JeremysITLab
      @JeremysITLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's definitely possible to configure BFD too aggressively. By default that won't cause HSRP failover though.

    • @JeremysITLab

      '(no) cdp run' is used in global config mode to enable/disable CDP on the switch.

    Hi Jeremy, I have a question regarding CDP, If we didn't run any routing protocol on routers still they will generate, send and receive CDP messages.
    Each CDP messages contains the IP Address, Each CDP message is encapsulated with a L2 header which contains the router's interface MAC address as Source MAC address and a multicast address of 01-------- as Destination MAC address. So, my question is that why doesn't a router populates its ARP table from the CDP messages which they receive from their neighbor as they have to perform ARP for that resolution.
    Please, provide me the answer once you have time.

    • @JeremysITLab
      @JeremysITLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      CDP isn't dependent on or related to any routing protocols, so yes it will run without the need for a routing protocol.
