LLDP is awesome. Been using it for decades on my HP switches, then Aruba switches.
Awesome vid, before you mentioned it, I was thinking about it being a way to monitor those type of endpoints
Is the voice vlan created on the phones firstly? If so does it auto use lldp-mep
No the switch drives the process.
I know this is more for grandstream but can you go over this with unifi
Sure -- however -- the UniFi options are super limited -- basically turn it on and off -- specify voice network and topology update. Wait until you see the options other vendors allow us to configure.

LLDP is like Bonjour on steroids.
Awesome ! I'm super 100% Happy with my Grandstream Phone & UCM6300A, so stable nice to use and works 100%
good video. ujnifi sucks at this as you cant change timer and they dont work with polys
Switches we recommend for voice let you add OIDs...
@@WillieHowe i love the unifi stack except for that, apparently its been a feature request forever on the forums
@@ncasagrande1 I don't think scalable voice deployments are the target demographic for UniFi.
@@WillieHowe somewhat agree, however it should be fixed to have feature parity with other vendors
