I didn't know this existed, I remember when playing as a kid probably 7 I didn't understand any english, just today I noticed there was an episode ii, and a iii! I've got to play them right now. thank you very much for this piece of knowledge
playing through that right now and couldnt complete those slide things you have to jump and now get pushed off on the last level and gave up now i can see the ending still! thanks for the upload
When I saw that neat reflecting pool effect in episode 1 I wondered why it wasn't used in Cosmo Cosmic Adventure, and now I see that it glitches out near the top of the screen, trying to reflect things beyond the view area border (which it also reflects) so I can imagine that seeming like a particularly bad idea in a game with more jumping and less shooting.
I know exactly what you mean. Though, besides that out of bounds reflection glitch the effect works quite good. I talked about this in my DN1 review too!
@@Dosgamert yes! I do like the effect, but it seems like the sort of thing that "quality assurance" would want gone if it didn't work in 100% of observable circumstances. Admittedly I rarely look at reviews! I already know about the game, I just never finished it and doubted I ever would, but watching other people finish old games helps me stay focused on busy-work illustrating tasks. I also watched a bunch of your blake stone videos a few years back.
@@Dosgamert Heyo, quick question if you don't mind! Do you recommend I should go through the PC version of Duke Nukem II or the Game Boy Color version? Is there a canon version or is it anybody's guess? Wouldn't mind going through both of them if it's worth it, so yeah, I was curious, what do you think?
@@KOTSOSMC2002 I played both and they're both on my channel. Though, I do prefer the MS-Dos version since that's way more solid, easier to navigate and simply the one I grew up with. If you want to go for a more modern experience I can advise you to play Duke 2 on Rigel Engine, which supports higher resolutions and uncapped framerates (smooth instead of choppy 12fps).
@@examname9477 I said zoom/resolution which basically meant "field of view". DN1 was the first game i've ever played in my life but you can't argue that it would be better if you could see further to the sides
@@SLISKI_JOHNNY Nahh, the original was fine, bigger fov probably going to make me force to look at the character too much and hurt my eye and make me forgot where i was, it happen to me in some games
I've had so much fun replaying this series! Excellent games.
Back to 90's, Duke Nukem was not popular as Doom in China, but it did has its fanbase.
Played this on Windows 3.1 back in '95. Thanks for bringing me back
15-18 years ago I have stoped onto one level, and now I can continue. Thanks!
Thanks for playing these. I remember playing them as a kid and loved thes versions of Duke. Probably enjoyed them more than 3D.
So did I! And I got plenty more longplays for you!

If you need any help you can always return to this youtube channel to see how it's done! :D
Same here. I had no idea this and Jill had three episodes. Finished all of Jill, now onto Episode two of this game.

I hate the conveyor belts. Almost got stuck during my livestream two weeks ago ;)
@22:34... a helicopter flying in space.. right
43:12 We all had that exact same thought when we played the Hive level in Duke Nukem Forever!
Man I haven't seen this in ages. I remember being 6 years old in 1995 playing this on my dads expensive new ass computer with windows 95.
I played this yesterday. It was surprisingly fun as hell.
Duke Nukem 1 and 2 are great!

I admire your strength
The last level is so annoying 😁😂
The last map is so infuriating! xD
The best time of my life!
Damn, Episode I was waaaaay better than this imo, even tho the platforming here was more intricate. Hope Episode III ends on a high note!
Subscribe and stay tuned for another awesome custom episode next week!

I always hated the jumpy bots. Jumpy bots are the worst.
This would still be fun to play if it wasn't for that zoom/resolution
Low resolution? PFFFF! This is CLASSIC, BETTER THAN HIGH RESOLUTION! Seriously, who care about the damn resolution? It all about the gameplay
