so...this game cam out in 1992, now is 2018, it's been 26 years...and you said "24 years later"...so you know this game since you were 2 years old? Wow.
Thank you! We never owned episodes 2 & 3. Steam apparently has it with all episodes, so I’m getting it ASAP This game also holds a funny story in my life my parents will never forget. My dad got a Windows 3.1 pc from a friend & it included Cosmo already on it. He tried looking all over the system for it & apparently they said I simply pulled up the command prompt, typed in COSMO & it said “Run COSMO Y/N?”. My dad was shocked & I was only like 3 when we got the PC (the game is literally a year older than me). I had NO prior knowledge of programming or commands in the command prompts at that time
I am surprised how much dread I still experience from those red jumping things suddenly appearing amidst situations that are already perilous. I think the length of levels and the ethereal transformation cosmo undergoes after taking too much damage allowed me to fear this game like few others I played since then (then being 2004). People say this game is easy, I assume because it looks like it ought to be. I can't imagine an actual young child being able to clear it, especially if they missed the secret hamburgers.
@@Dosgamert Thank you for appreciating it! and for providing so many competent play-throughs that aren't speed runs or conspicuously abusing save-states, and for moderately lesser-known games.
When I was a young girl, I had some "Apogee" games (all only the first episode) but when I was thirty, I managed to track down the "freeware" version on some and this is the order I liked them in 1. DUKE NUKEM 2 2. COSMO'S COSMIC ADVENTURE - MATH RESCUE - BIO MENACE - CRYSTAL CAVES 3. HALLOWEEN HARRY (A.K.A ALIEN CARNAGE) - MAJOR STRYKER - WORD RESCUE 4. HOCUS POCUS 5. SECRET AGENT 6. DUKE NUKEM 7. COMMANDER KEEN 8. BLAKE STONE - ALIENS OF GOLD You will notice some in the same row separated by a dash. That's because I liked all games on that row equally e.g I liked "Math Rescue" as much as "Cosmo's cosmic adventure"
Wait I know! 😄💡. He must've taken that alien's ribs apart or found something sharp and then sliced open that alien to escape like Hercules did to Hydra in Disney's Hercules. Yeah that's it!
Awesome!!!! Duke Nukem’s cameo. And trust me, it’s THE Duke Nukem we know and love. You see his last name is misspelled ‘cuz there used to be a villain from that cartoon, Captain Planet and his name is ALSO Duke Nukem believe it or not. 😅 But that’s ok, that cartoon ain’t so hot anymore. Now it’s the badass Duke Nukem. Google it!😉
Good grief do you have to pay close attention as it's easy to overlook the platforms due to that busy background. Still love the game though; totally missed it back in the 90's so got it more recently. Plays beautifully on RetroArch's DosBox-Pure core.
Or maybe *a la Giorgio A. Tsoukalos(as seen on The History Channel and internet memes)* ALIENS! 😆 Or maybe even *a la Mr. Bean* MAGIC! *snort, snort!* 🤣
I deleted a few, TH-cam seems to have added some automatically. This happens more often. My apologies. Though, I'm happy that they're short, and not as long as on commercial TV.
Almost two and a half decades later, I finally get to see what the rest of Cosmo's adventure looks like.
dito!!!
Same
Same.
BUT, this game cheated us! It showed Cosmo's arms and legs getting stuck between the teeth of the monster, presumably about to be chewed off.
Right? I always wondered, but my folks were over me playing video games by the time I finished Adventure 1.
Yeh I could Afford jack
24 YEARS later i finally found what happened with this green fella of my childhood . tnxs

😍😍😍😍 Cosmo 😍 our cutie beloved little alien ❤
There's a whole level inside this alien!
This ancient game was and is still so addicting to play 😁
I never even know they made more adventures. I always through it ended with getting eaten!

If those are some of your favourites, ypur at the right adress on this youtube channel :D
Does no one else find the main screen disturbing af? My younger self definitely did
Jump on the egg until it breaks then immediately kill what comes out. This game is more brutal than Wolfenstein.

WHOO HOO! Cosmo escaped from the monster's guts!! Wonder how he did that?.....uh, actually I don't wanna know. GROSS!🤢🤮

Title screen music: Bald-faced ripoff of ZZ Top's "Tush"
Me: Oh. *that's* why 3D Realms can't re-release this on Steam.
All the levels I played, with cheats
