damn i miss the old tf2, i played back in like 2012 and i remember watching all the meet the team vids except the pyro one (it hadnt came out yet) and all the fan made meet the pyro vids. And then pyromania came out, good times.
I was a lil kid and i would spend hours either playing against bots (i really sucked ass whenever i played online) or in that mario kart server as engie with my brother, idk how i found it fun but it was at the time

This was the start. If stabby did not make this video i doubt the amount spies would have grown as fast as it did. All the insane frag videos and sick beats all came from this single classic. If i never saw this video i probably never would have learned about what a trickstab was or put as much time into the class as i have. All i have to really say is Thank you for inspiring so many people and creating dreams that many strive to achieve.

It just depends where you play. The average skill level naturally went down due to more players coming in. Also add the fact there is a new generation of players coming in, the old generation is already in college at LEAST. They moved on. Happens with every game with such a long lifespan.

You know, it's a great feeling, watching this video when you're JUST starting out in tf2 and thinking to yourself, "Wow, this guy is really good! I wanna be just like this."
Then coming back to the video about a year later, and realizing you are doing a lot of this. That you finally are almost their, that you're almost on that level you have strove so much to be at.
I don't know, maybe it's only me. But that's the feeling I get when I come back to this video and watch him again.

I love how people complain about how the dead ringer is "a crutch for bad spies". The fact that stabby, one of the best, if not the best, spy player around uses it regularly illustrates the simple fact that it is better than the other spy watches in so many situations.
Next update they will as the iRinger as a red quality item that you will get as well-worn quality. The factory-new version will be $150+ for a item that would be free with mods.

Stabby, one of THE best spies in TF2. He is the reason why I play spy more than any other class in the game.
I actually want to main spy in competitive, when I get around to it, and Stabby is a big reason for that.

Jesus Christ guys, the crosshair doesn't just change randomly. It has a different color binded to each movement key. It helps notice the crosshair more.

I just feel bad for Pyros who lick the spy with their flame as they dead ring, and continue to burn them until the spy is able to get away because of the speed boost. Makes spy a bit more mindless
Well the thing is, since they shat on the damage resistance you are already dead by the time you could have escaped.
The iringer is killing me
I'm painfully aware of his intimate understanding of melee hitboxes
What you have to do is get someone to face diagonally in relation to this invisible hitbox, approach them from a flat face of this box, and aim towards where they're pointed. Stab at the corners of this hitbox to score this facestab - even if they have quick reflexes, you're using ping to stab the enemy's past - which hasn't yet turned around.
Ten times easier said than done, yet Stabby here makes it look easy.

The Dead Ringer is a bitch, I use it a lot and for whatever reason, nobody ever hears it. It's saved my ass so many times that it's not even funny. It may have a loud decloak noise, but everybody is too stupid to hear it.

no, most of the time it's either people don't play with their sound on, or loud enough, or people are too busy being trigger happy to care, or even notice it
This is true, it's strange, actually. I tend to hear the normal decloak more than I hear DR decloak.
probably because it's more familiar. you listen for it more than you do the dead ringer, and people usually decloak closer by when using a regular watch, or a C&D. just my personal opinion, but i use DR to get past lines of defense and wreck snipers, engies, that sort of thing, and i usually stay hidden until my DR cloak is full.
i dont have headphones, so i never hear it, but when you use it one time with me i will always try o get you.

Spy has only few ways to trickstab and all of them are easy to counter.
Stairstab(or just jump stab) : Look up or go to the side.If pyro then airblast
Cornerstab : Okay this one is tricky since sometimes they wait on the inner edge or outer edge but if you have any reflexes at all then you can face him.
Matador or spin stabs : Don't be an idiot you dont need to get to the spies face in order to kill him closer you are more dangerous he is keep your distance.
Sure there are some cases when game compensating for latency causes facestabs and stabs at a distance that really it shouldn't but overall if you follow these rules you are gonna get backstabbed rarely when your team f*cks up (they can cause that) And you will kill those invisible bastards when they think you are an easy pray.I even seen them just give up on me and focus on someone else.Sure there are really good ones but seriously Good spy=Bad oposite team mostly.
Well obviously you should also set him on fire once hes in the air one flair or a shot from the reserve shooter should do the trick.Also pyros rarely tun out of ammo in my experience

Are you ignorant or something? Spy has about roughly a dozen ways of trickstab moves. It's only as good as your movement, some require mistakes on the enemies part, but no matter how good you are, you will make some kind of mistake.
Good Spy = bad team eh? Go tell that to Acooma and Hei, Onv, who are arguably the best Spies in the game, top-tier competitive players I might add.
Onv literally quit because the Platinum player teams were "shitty". That's how good he is.
Hei quit TF2 Highlander Spy for some reason, he's really into Dota 2 and now is some Scout player.
Acooma is the active one, He went from steel to Platinum without even being in the divisions below it...
They don't do trickstabs 24/7 but they are insanely good. No Gods, but very good. Doing trickstabs constantly is not advised whatsoever.
I still think the funniest moment is when he headshots the Scout and his Gibus goes flying.

This is why spies are awesome. With enough practice anyone can easily wipe the entire enemy team without any hassle. And with the dead ringer, you become nearly unstoppable this is a loadout I use all the time, with the enforcer instead of the ambassador. Nice job, love the video :)
