Dragonelis I'm obviously gonna keep him at a distance if I don't feel comfy about getting too close, and yes, headshots works, it's in that sort of situation you need to move a lot and mess up his aim. Also, I'm practically immune to any stabs that involves jumping over my head =) It's sorta hard coded into my subconcious by now to not let it happen, and when it does, it'll be the first time in a LONG time.

Because half-decent players learn from their failures. If a spy manages a backstab or headshot in nearly every situation it is in, then maybe you should think about changing your playstyle, not your class? Pyro certainly isnt going to help you...

Why whenever i see someone else play and they get a backstab their knife does the normal slash animation and not the backstab animation? In my game it always does the normal bckstb anmtn even on quick stabs like trickstabs stairstabs etc.

Still not a facestab, you can see him go to the side of him, you should keep in mind, turn your aim anywhere away from a spies direction as he goes the opposite direction, even if it's literally a quarter of a centimeter could end up with a backstab like that.

Wait, how does trick stabbing work? Whenever a spy side stabs be I always assume foul play or lag on my end because it never made sense to me. 300 hours of TF2 and I never knew this was a legitimate thing? How exactly do you get a side stab like that?

Spy is my 3rd played class. I love the scripts you and your acquaintances made. Invisible Amby viewmodel is just amazing. I had to fix my cousin's scripts since he didn't quite get to fully editing his other classes.
+Mountain King Stabby uses a script that makes his sensitivity slower when he holds the amby and makes it faster when he has his knife/sapper. It should be in his scripts if you get them.

Besides the speed differences being an obvious tell (not so obvious for a good spy), the Scout is pretty much the best class to disguise as. Smaller physically (head is located in the Spy's chest) and harder to keep track of.
I'm just amazed at how he can do all these trick stabs so swiftly with out fault. When I do them I have 75% of getting it cause of like me landing on top of their head or a little to far away from them and end up having to back away. Good job
I actually fixed the script, I noticed on Stabby's steamforums post he had a second viewmodel script in case his didn't work out/ you didn't like it, and that one work for me. Thanks for your time though :)

I think he uses Scout sometimes because it is a smallest model and harder to see with peripheral vision. I've also found that in pubs, jumping around as scout can help you seem more believable. Especially when they are not looking directly at you.
He snapped around faster than the Pyro was able to turn to him, thus exposing the Pyro's back for a stab. Watch it a few times again and you'll understand.

I don't think someone would make a long-time commitment to playing spy if they weren't main, so they're probably pretty common. Also, stabby is a main spy. He has like 4000+ hours on spy.

Sidestabs are read automatically as backstabs, even though you sometimes don't see a backstab animation.
