- Welcome to our “Music & Myths” home concert series! Each month, we play a mini-concert under the stars followed by a cozy story-time featuring a Nordic myth (both old and new)! This online concert series is an exclusive reward for our Patreon Fan Club! Blevins Harps is a family owned and operated harp builder located in Grand Junction, Colorado. The soundboard artwork was designed and drawn by our mom (Diane Carlson). With 3 sets of wings, the artwork reflects the characteristics of the harps’ angelic namesake: the Seraphim angels. 🪽🪽 The design is metallic, so it shimmers differently in the light! You can even see a tiny C & K in the hilt of the swords!

Who has never before experienced the magic of a home concert straight from Harptopia's deck garden is about to experience something they will never forget. It's amazing how much work you invest in bringing your Patreon supporters these concerts. Despite being on tour for most of the year, you put together a setlist to perform, you rehearse, you prepare the location, you record, you edit... all by yourselves, and results are of absolute top quality. And it's such a great boon to fans like me who live 4200 miles away from you and got almost no chance to see one of your live shows (there are no words to describe how privileged I feel to have attended one).

Thank you for enjoying our version of this very old folk song!! The original writer and history is actually lost to time. It was sung by either the male or the female perspective and is generally considered a cautionary tale about wasting one's life. It is much longer (more verses) than the shorter version made popular by the animals but we believe it definitely deserves to be heard.

Guitars certainly have their place but these ladies created a whole new niche and discipline by choosing harp.

I really enjoyed this performance. The harps sound wonderful, and I would like to hear more, and especially "Nemo" performed on these. I went to a Blue Oyster Cult concert a few years ago, and Camille, you may feel better knowing that they didn't use cowbells either, though Eric Bloom did perform on an "air cowbell" during the opening riffs of "Don't Fear the Reaper!" 🔕😁
