Giving up dying my hair is absolutely liberating!!! It was like a little cloud over my head all the time, worrying about when I’d need to spend time and money to upkeep every month or so…. I hated it. I’m now fully grey and it makes me look younger, weirdly enough. Going grey isn’t like back in the old days…. I’m happy that society is accepting grey, green, blue, bright red or whatever colour. I’m loving it sooooo much!!! ❤

It's so refreshing to find this! I also ditched the dye, am embracing the incoming greys and honouring my natural waves/curls. You are the ONLY person I've seen give thoughts on both going grey and curly and our methods are so similar.

Thank you so much! My wavy hair "behaves" (loathe that word) so much better since I gave up the dye. My hair is healthier than it's ever been!

Amazing. I am doing both. Embracing my menopausal suddenly wavy hair AND embracing my grey that started when I was 25. I'm 51 now! It took me an entire doubling of my life to realize I can work with what I have instead of fighting against it. Thank you for this. I did the curly girl thing for 4 months and (after throwing away all my old products, buying millions of new products, etc) realized I too hate rules. We DO have agency over our hair and your hair will likely tell you what it wants if you listen and notice. YAY.

I agree about standing there diffusing being BORING. What I found works for me after a bunch of trial and error is to walk around the house (or sit under my ceiling fan) air-drying for about an hour and then use tbe diffuser for about 10 or 15 minutes. I actually got a Dyson diffuser and it cut down a TON on the drying time and frizz. Totally worth the $$$ for me

Before the hair dresser cut off all my curls I would mix curly hair jell equally with Leave in conditioner, sqrunch and finger wave, let dry. This took care of the frizzys and styled nice. The next day I would spritze with water and do the same without more products. I can do this 3 days before the next wash. I'm thinking of ordering a silk nightcap to sleep in, when my hair finally grows out.

Thanks for sharing the names of the products you use. I’ve bookmarked for possible later use. Right now I have so many products I just can’t defend buying more.

I have Curl Keeper! I am going to toss it in my shower and try out your method. I am 49 and unfortunately only have several gray hairs. I was hoping for super long, wavy gray hair by now.

i just discovered your channel due to one of your shorts and instantly subscribed, since I've never seen "my hair" represented here on TH-cam.
i am going to get a short haircut in a couple of weeks (currently growing out a dramatique undercut) and plan to let my hair grow long and gray and gorgeous afterwards.
now, I've got a question, which you might have answered in another video (but I'm a newbie and haven't found it with a quick browse):
how often do you do this routine per week? do you set your curls once every couple of days once you washed them and maintain them somehow until you need to wash your hair again? how do you keep your hair while sleeping?
really curious about your answers and happy to have found your channel!

Try doing a castor oil mask! It really helped my hair

What is your favorite purple shampoo? Your hair is so gorgeous! I'm 10 months dye free and have wavy hair. I've been letting it grow out from a pixie cut for the past 13 months. A whole lot of hair changes going on! 😄 Also, is the shampoo and conditioner shown in this video your favorite? Does it weigh your hair down at all?

I’m going to try it. I’m nervous about stopping with dyeing my hair, but it will be worth it. I am also trying to find a wavy hair routine that works for me. I will try the original that you mentioned

I wish my hair looked as healthy as yours. Mine is always puffy frizzy and dry. I’ve tried so many products but it’s always dry feeling and nothing seems to moisturize it. Products just sit on top of my hair. My hair doesn’t like sulfate free shampoo as the alternative that’s used in natural products are just as harsh

I found when I gave up silicones my hair looked like a rats nest. I also oil my hair maybe once a month. It REALLY helps!

@@grayawhileyeah that’s what I have found as well, that I need silicones. But I just can’t figure out why I can’t get it to be moisturized no matter how cheap or expensive a shampoo and conditioner I use. And leave ins do t seem to help. I have to be careful that the silicone doesn’t just sit on top of my hair and make it look dirty. Thank you

I wish you would do a wash day review. Shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, brush or comb, leave in etc. I have grey, curly, frizzy, dry, sort of long hair (waist length) and I air dry. I need help
