It is regrettable, much like the city itself, smugly arrogant but no one is really sure why, its a globalist also ran that keeps pining to be in some big league it will never find, beacuse they are who they are. The CFL though is pure gold and hopefully someday that argo team will move to the east coast and the league can wave t-oe goodbye...if only they were not so scared....
Sad day for the Bombers and BB fans. I wouldn’t have overstated like the commentators did that Wpg was heavily favoured. I would have acknowledged the close games and it could have gone either way. There were unpredictable things, like Kelly breaking a leg, the blocked punt that was overturned, and Collaros’ cut finger. Anyway, good game, Argos. We’ll be back next year, Bombers! 😎
I’ve finally brought myself to watch this replay. The game was close until the punt return fumble. It turned into 7 for the Argos, gave them momentum and they never looked back. I’ll never understand why, with the MOP running back in Oliviera, the Bombers didn’t run the ball more. He had proven he could break through for the big play even in this game. Here’s hoping Winnipeg can find a way back to the Grey Cup at home in 2025…
It seems as though the Winnipeg coaching staff was over-thinking their decisions. I don't know why Oliveira didn't get the ball more often. He was the one bright light. Ground and pound, and Winnipeg would have won that game. Of course, turning the ball over a couple of times in key situations doesn't help, and that blocked punt was a great opportunity, but wasted because of a mental mistake. At least it was an entertaining Grey Cup!
Yes, Analysis Paralysis on the Bombers part. Actually I don't think the Bombers defense was expecting the Argos very simple, but very effective game plan.
Willie Jefferson, he had a monster game and for me was the Bomber that was ready to play the most. I hiope he is able to be part of next year but he can hold his head up high, he played a great game today
@@40sayers95 Yep. More than once, the Argos' receivers just found a soft spot in the zone coverage and waited for the pass. You'd think that with a back up QB, they'd go with man coverage and blitz one LB or HB every play to get pressure. Oh well, there's always next year...
it's the AAARRRGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSS folks. The greatest football team name. The greatest football team. Back in the isle of Crete the first Argonaut Jason would be proud. Here's to Rod and Doug Smylie. My great uncles.
This looked like it could have been an all-time great football game if the QB wasn't injured. That cut was deep (you could see it on camera) and effected the way he threw the ball.
A bit of Canadian history for you. The Cup family had two sons who were always out playing sports. Mom could never decide if she liked Stanley or Grey better. We all are better off for it. We won't mention their cousins who emigrated south, the Bowl family. Whatever happened to cousin Super, and little Toilet?
32K views for a recap of the Grey Cup showed that the interest for that game was not very high. Congrats Argo’s for the win. Turnovers was the key in that games.
I saw recaps of the Western and Eastern Semi-finals, I was really impressed with Winnipeg. Unfortunately, there were too many interceptions and dropped balls by Winnipeg. Argos!!!
I despise the Argonauts and the Bummers equally. I'm torn because the Blew team winning the Grey cup is nauseating but watching Bummer fans whine about the loss and claim they were a "dynasty" is truly enjoyable...
I would say this about the claims about being a dynasty from Blue Bombers fans - they're a dynasty. Playing in 5 consecutive championship games is nothing short of phenomenal no matter how big the league. Yes, team lost 3 consecutive championship games, but that's because they played a better team each time. Argos despite not being seen as even having a chance of beating Winnipeg proved anyone wrong. Defense played the role in the win. And I fully expected that.
I'm not so sure. Zach Collaros had a very bad season and he got very lucky that his defense was so good at the second half of the season. Blue Bombers are good, but not great. They got lucky the west was awful this season.
@@onlinepole Nah... Streveler can't throw. When he played starter against Ottawa he threw the ball only 21 times and completed 13 passes for 127 yards and he ran for 79 yards on 13 carries. So... And yeah, he also did okay against Calgary the week before when he replaced Zach Collaros after he got injured. 14 completions out of 24 attempts for 170 yards with touchdown and interception (that lost the game in overtime). Streveler is a PHENOMENAL short-yardage QB but he's not good as a starter.
That's because Nick Arbuckle wasn't even a starter, he was planning his retirement before the start of this season but was brought up to the Argos when the 2023 MOP Chad Kelly got suspended for 9 regular season games for something that should've led for an indefinite suspension. Kelly got back and played well enough to be a starter until he got seriously injured in the East Final. Kelly got broken tibia and fibula in his right leg, that's when Nick Arbuckle got his chance to become starter all of a sudden. And he did a phenomenal job for a guy who started only 25 games during his long career in CFL.
Winnipeg offensive game plan was horrible and in excusable st this level No attempt to run the ball. And just throwing the ball deep all game and playing very vanilla defensive game plan horrible and disgusting game plan by Winnipeg offense and defense
Around 3000 empty seats on a 55000 seater... not bad. During the game there were quite a lot of shots of the audience and I didn't see many empty seats to be honest. But yeah, when Argonauts started to destroy Blue Bombers, people started to leave the arena.
Unfortunately, Zach Collaros used the same strategy for EVERY Grey Cup. He won the first 1 in winnipeg. Nobody saw him coming. He won the second one, barely. They figured him out. He lost the third by throwing up ducks, ALL game. He lost the fourth by throwing up ducks, ALL game He lost the fifth one by throwing up ducks, ALL game. Time to retire ZACH. Winnipeg should go after Tre FORD as QB.
lol gramps in case you are not up to date, in football now there are coaches, and offensive coordinators...the palys run are the consensus plan of a number of people and are sent, one at a time, to the qb to call in the huddle. not sure what you are talking about, ach does not do the same thing all the time...and what he does is what the coaches send in. have a beer and relax
Because Canada isn't that big for a 16 team league. 10th team is a huge pain in a butt for the league because they couldn't find businessmen that would spent money for a new franchise... and the problem is that they're almost no markets left to explore. Only Maritimes, probably in Halifax.

The banners could be put to good use, covering all the game day empty seats in their stadium.
@@40sayers95Toronto embrace loosing, missed managed profitable teams.
@@40sayers95 I mean no kidding they could not win enough in a century to paste over the hollow halls they play in. But for a minute read and soak in so many argo commenters here and the smug arrogance in them, many with not a ounce of civility or sportsmanship.
Calgary should've never got rid of Arbuckle.
Here’s hoping Winnipeg can find a way back to the Grey Cup at home in 2025…
The CFL should try to sign Travis Hunter from the Colorado Buffalos?
@@TheHilltopPillbox 100% agree, Argos enacted a very simple, old school game plan & it worked well for them unlike the bombers defense.
it's the AAARRRGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSS folks.
LET'S GO TORONTO AR-GO-NAUTS! WE'VE GOT A BOAT!
I saw recaps of the Western and Eastern Semi-finals, I was really impressed with Winnipeg. Unfortunately, there were too many interceptions and dropped balls by Winnipeg. Argos!!!
Once Callaros cut his finger .. that was it.
It was over well before then. Collaros was doing his typical choke against the stern Argo defense.
Winnipeg is now the modern-day Atlanta Braves.
I look forward to seeing my Alouettes back in the Grey Cup in 2025.
Oui - Yes ❗️
Just imagine, they really should have won east final. And then probably Grey Cup too ..
@@karlpolsterer7687 🤣
You have to win 3 to be considered a dynasty lol!
@@teo_heellook up definition of dynasty 😂
@@darianz1855 I don't care about those meanings. I can interpret the word the way I want.
@@teo_heel and you can be wrong 😂 maybe 4th times the charm
Collaros hurt his hand, had to wear a glove on his throwing hand, and it was all downhill from there for Winnipeg.
It was over well before then. He was only 6 of 16 for 114 yards when he hurt his hand
Truly a dynasty in the making!
And no I'm not talking about the Bombers you dolts 😂
no dynasty for Winnipeg because they lost a third straight and Toronto continues to
excel…Justice is served! WTG ARGOS!
Wow, that 4th quarter
Interceptions killed the Bombers. They'll be back, though!
I hope they play anger. It was disappointing to watch it slip away.
I'm not so sure. Zach Collaros had a very bad season and he got very lucky that his defense was so good at the second half of the season. Blue Bombers are good, but not great. They got lucky the west was awful this season.
@@teo_heelStreveler is a very solid backup who could step into a starting role
@@onlinepole Nah... Streveler can't throw. When he played starter against Ottawa he threw the ball only 21 times and completed 13 passes for 127 yards and he ran for 79 yards on 13 carries. So...
And yeah, he also did okay against Calgary the week before when he replaced Zach Collaros after he got injured. 14 completions out of 24 attempts for 170 yards with touchdown and interception (that lost the game in overtime).
Streveler is a PHENOMENAL short-yardage QB but he's not good as a starter.
Blue Bombers have lost three consecutive Grey Cup games.
Though for sure the Argos wouldn’t do well with out Chad Kelly. Arbuckle played fantastic. Hats off to Bombers though 5 straight Grey cups.
What kind of "interference" was that that overturned the blocked punt turnover?
Illegal push to the back. There were better replays of the play that showed the reason for a flag being throw.
You’re a casual if you couldn’t see 19 shove the guy in the back so Winnipeg could recover… such a stupid penalty to take on a third down 😂😂😂😂
Watching the Grey Cup from Pennsylvania Go Argos
Haven't watched CFL since NFL began to be shown here.
Well As U here Enjoy the CFL 😉
You probably also voted for Trump, shame on you.
Haven't watched a game of CFL before but looks like Toronto's qb is very shaky
That's because Nick Arbuckle wasn't even a starter, he was planning his retirement before the start of this season but was brought up to the Argos when the 2023 MOP Chad Kelly got suspended for 9 regular season games for something that should've led for an indefinite suspension. Kelly got back and played well enough to be a starter until he got seriously injured in the East Final. Kelly got broken tibia and fibula in his right leg, that's when Nick Arbuckle got his chance to become starter all of a sudden.
And he did a phenomenal job for a guy who started only 25 games during his long career in CFL.
Looked pretty good to me. Won MOP of the game.
I picked nick to win the Grey Cup at the beginning of the season.........in Ottawa. 😅
Only in the CFL
What?
Go Argos!!!
Cfl should add some expansion teams
A lot of international Work Visas on the field.
Another choke for the Bombers. Dynasty of the choke😢
Go CFL 🙂
YAYAYAYYAAY🎉🎉🎉🎉LETS GO ARGONS
Anyone impressed how easy Kadeem Carey took Jefferson down. Man can tackle
Boom! Argos baby!!!
Winnipeg offensive game plan was horrible and in excusable st this level
No attempt to run the ball. And just throwing the ball deep all game and playing very vanilla defensive game plan
horrible and disgusting game plan by Winnipeg offense and defense
True winipeg didnt belong in the finals
@@Hjkkgg6788 They did.

@ would have been 16-10 argos if they didnt settle for 3 points on there opening drive
@@travis396 who knows what would've happened if Argos would've scored a TD on an opening drive.
@ that’s true
Hi
Go Rough Riders!
Goddamn it's like Winnipeg forgot how to play Football. Congrats to Toronto from the US.
Are their suppose to be so many empty seats during a championship game?
Around 3000 empty seats on a 55000 seater... not bad.
During the game there were quite a lot of shots of the audience and I didn't see many empty seats to be honest. But yeah, when Argonauts started to destroy Blue Bombers, people started to leave the arena.

No. F JT
The reported attendance was 52K. That’s very solid. Better then most NCAA conference championship games
Unfortunately, Zach Collaros used the same strategy for EVERY Grey Cup.
He won the first 1 in winnipeg. Nobody saw him coming.
He won the second one, barely. They figured him out.
He lost the third by throwing up ducks, ALL game.
He lost the fourth by throwing up ducks, ALL game
He lost the fifth one by throwing up ducks, ALL game.
Why CFL just can't expand to 16 team's
Because Canada isn't that big for a 16 team league. 10th team is a huge pain in a butt for the league because they couldn't find businessmen that would spent money for a new franchise... and the problem is that they're almost no markets left to explore. Only Maritimes, probably in Halifax.
Or atleast 12.
@@1puggycorgi843 10 in maximum. 12 is out of reach.
@teo_heel yea your not wrong, didn't really work with the American expansion
