Got My Mind Made Up was such a great record. It was one of the few tracks from All Eyez On Me that radio played out here in NY (for obvious petty reasons). Everybody on that song snapped, and it was one of the many moments where it disproved all the "Pac ain't lyrical, he can't hang with real lyricsits" bullshit that people try to spread.
I heard Daz say 2pac came in heard the beat and wrote his verse and laid his verse in 10 minutes & then went on to write and record 4 more songs right after it. So It's always been amazing how fast he could write his songs, imagine if he really wanted to bust punchlines and bars like his early days. Then again he kept it real as usual.
Tupac had some much love for Wu Tang, and Redman. There's a few interviews where he shouts out Red, and on his song Representin 93. Pac literally used Method Man's opening verse for Bring The Pain for the hook of No More Pain along with giving him and RZA shout outs inside the album. If you look at his plans for All Eyez On Me, he wanted Raekwon and Meth along with RZA for a beat.
I met Red face to face and got an autograph from him that he signed on a Muddy Waters promo card they were giving out back in 97 during a campus tour concert on The University of Florida Campus at the Bandshell and this dude was the coolest most outgoing Cat in Hip Hop.He actually cared that he had fans and it was a memory i will never forget!!!
