I’ve noticed an odd and funny quirk about Mary, Vera, and Max. All 3 of them consume something that’s usually used as a baking ingredient. Sweetened condensed milk is often added to other ingredients and not just consumed as is, much like cooking sherry and baking chocolate.
Max was one of Philip Seymour Hoffman's greatest characters! The cast of this was truly A-list! Toni Colette, Eric Bana, Barry Humphries as the narrator; all excellent!
Hi there! Thanks for making me smile with your reactions, guys! Sean, If your kids need a nice supportive and funny penpal from across the world (with more child-appropriate topics than Max ;) further down the line, let me know! I'm a story-writing teacher from Germany with several honorary god-children from different countries who loves good old-fashioned letter writing.
You guys should watch Harvey krumpet and Ernie biscuit it’s from the same man. He’s very talented! He also made some from the 90s they are all very good!

Adam Elliot, the maker of this, won an Academy award for Best Short film "Harvey Krumpet" 6 years before he made Mary and Max. Its about Tourette's.

A beautiful and very underrated film about friendship and self acceptance. You guys were a great audience.
Holy shit nobody watches this movie I'm so excited! Also fuck I gotta get some tissues ready 😬
Also what a fantastic cast. I didn't realize my first time that it was Toni Collette because I'm so unused to hearing her real Aussie accent
It's up for free on TH-cam right now.
I dunno anyone else reacting to this unforgettable, brilliant film. Thanks!
Guys this is based on a true story .
12:11 really fast postmail. I send postcard from Mauritius to the Czech Republic (Europe) in May 2022. The postcard arrived in March 2023 :D
This was my number 2 film of 2009, right behind Where The Wild Things Are, both Australian films, both 5 stars.

Google says belly button lint is blue because of sweat and the natural color of the cotton? Or something?
I love this movie. A true masterpiece.❤
probably the saddest claymation ive seen
This movie really impact my life even if it's stop motion
Animation is not a lower form of film
If you watch closely you will be able to tell that the knowledge at least this is my opinion but now it's are the Smurfs
As Sesame Street's a recent thing at the time, maybe Muppets as the collectable.

The 70's were an amazing time to be alive.
I don't see why Max didn't consider Ivy a friend
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that
Let's assume that he thought of her as family (But I also wondered that)
