Still a little too fast, but this place is not for deals. You could get educated there though. Did you see my comment about glass? Also that BLUE dish I couldn't pass up, just for the color alone. That color mesmerizes me. Hope you got that little red lamp, it was worth 15.

Another GREAT video. I really appreciate how you are briefly covering all the different types of collectables as I am from a family who’s motto is “If you have more then two of something, it’s a collection.” Over my 65 years we all have collected various items and then sold them off as our interests have changed. The time you are taking to showcase items you are not personally interested in collecting is refreshing and shows you are a very curious person. I find curious people are the most interesting.

These antique mall videos are awesome! Thanks for slowing down so we can see more. My Mom is 97 and still getting around great, but walking this place would bee too much, so seeing the things that were around when she was young is fun for both of us and I’m 68. We love your furniture renovations and have been watching those videos for a couple years. We enjoy your sense of humor in the narrations, too. Thanks for giving us so much to watch and take care always. Janet and Eva.

Nice conversation with you today Barry. I saw a Precious Moments figure set in one of the booth you visited. Scanned the rest of the booth to make sure the one I'm searching for wasn't there. The examples of the glassware is remarkable. I love the colors and the variety. Look forward to part 3 of this series. And the pink lidded jar you touched at beginning of the video, I shall one day inherit from my grandma via my mom.

I'm enjoying this content a lot. I have to say that I got a smile on my face when you were looking at the "vintage" clothing that I might have worn back in the day. I guess that makes me vintage also which is better than being old or a senior citizen. It is nice to see all the mid century items that my parents bought that I still have and the prices that dealers are asking for them. Thanks for the tour.

I am a mother of four young adult sons who are still at home. I border on being a minimalist in the way that I like very few decorations and prefer my home to look uncluttered and rather empty. BUT watching this series has really made me appreciate the few precious vintage and antique belongings I have and has made me want to introduce my sons to collecting beautiful things from the era of 'they just dont make them like that any more.' I intend to take them all to an antique mall near us and show them how many amazing things they can find, much like in this antique mall. Thank you for sharing this great series!

I'm loving this series Barry, I would be here for days just looking at all this cool stuff!!! From your first video in this series I understood why you were here - I took myself off to one of our local antique stores for my birthday too; you never know what treasures you'll find!
I also very much appreciated your focus on giving those with mobility concerns, a chance to 'shop with you' - that was very empathetic and thoughtful.
In this video, I would have purchased the lovey sculpture of the young starlet/debutant in the red dress shown early on in the video...I love the glamour of it!

Wow! That was just as incredible as Part 1. 😁 Having seen a couple of examples in this video, I know exactly what I would be looking to purchase at a place like this: Well made and well-weighted book ends, preferably in a classic design. I didn't care for the baby booties or the sleeping Mexicans. 😂 The glassware was amazing, though.😲😍 I am really loving this. See you for Part 3. 😊💛👍

Thanks for sharing this video Barry! At 74 years of age, many "old" items were new when I first saw them. It was fun to reminisce. I remember the butter churn at my aunt and uncle's home because they had dairy cattle and made their own butter. I remember the Hoosier (Indiana - Who's your neighbor) that we had and mom used daily. There are so many things to see and touch.! Great video! George from Florida

Thank you for the series on the Columbus Antique Mall. I appreciate the comment about 'having an escape route' and laughed. Good idea! I'm from Milwaukee and my favorite antique mall was The Milwaukee Antique Center in downtown. It was multi-level, in a wonderful old building, but closed years ago.

Allen, Michigan, near where I live, has the largest antique malls I've ever seen. It takes days to enjoy all the yesteryear sights and memory walking tours of the many old and new buildings. I'm in my seventies so I grew up with what people genuinely and affectionately call antique. I have always loved old stuff. My husband does, too, so we take our mini mind vacations from this present time period to the yesteryear malls to relax/remember/refocus on fond memorys of the past. Thank you for being who you are and for what you do to help us reconnect with our past. My husband also does some furniture repair and refinish but we rarely sell anything because I keep falling in love with the pieces once finished. Our greatest fear is that we won't live long enough to repair all the antique and vintage furniture we have collected.

@Luca Angelo hi Luca! I’m currently in TN helping out my elderly parents, who are both in Assisted Living. Normally I reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. My mom used to have a booth at a much smaller shop here in TN, to sell the many antiques she got from her parents, and from her Aunt and Uncle, who were world travelers. They all lived in rural MI. Even after all this time and many sales, we still have quite a lot of glassware and china left, which my sister and I will eventually need to deal with. So it’s interesting to me to see what is at the store, some price ranges, and what other people find interesting. Mostly I’m looking here as a stress relief from the work with my parents, and my own graduate school studies. It’s beautiful, and interesting as well as educational!
Hope you are well, too, Luca!

I kept an eye out but didn't see any Frankoma, a line of pottery and tableware that was made in Oklahoma. I've got an extensive collection that began with a wagonwheel water pitcher from my grandmother. I'm sure you walked past lots of it. Thanks for another tour. In your first video I'd swear you walked past on the first floor a solid oak Stickley chair with dark green cushions. I used to have a set of Stickley living room furniture, but sold it to take the vacation of a lifetime with my late husband. It was a good decision. I enjoy these trips through the mall. I'd probably be overstimulated talking it all in, but I do so love antique stores. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers from Oklahoma!

Here's my take on all that stuff: the children of the roaring 20s became the children of the depression and WWII. "Frugality" was their way of life. They didn't replace or discard; they fixed all their stuff until it couldn't be repaired. Broken or torn items were kept to repair their other meager belongings. However, when times got better, they started splurging on a "few" newer items, including home decor. They also held onto everything they originally had out of the fear they would return to poverty and all that stuff might "just come in handy some day." At least it would be "passed down" to future generations. My mother was no exception. When she died, only 3 family members wanted a total of 5 of her items. Everything else was sold, donated, and 58 bags of trash went to the landfill. So sad, but it was the complexity of being born in prosperous times only to see it taken away and having to wonder from where their next meal would come. And, if that wasn't enough, they were called upon to rid the globe of a Marxist tyrant. I give them a total pass on "stuff."

The glassware that you showed, particularly at the end of this video, has turned me into a fanatic. I've been ordering so much of it. Although I would love to have more mid-century modern furniture in my home, in my country it's just impossible to obtain. I've been very fortunate to acquire some wonderful glass pieces. I know that's not your specialty, but I still appreciate what you shared and how it's fostered my appreciation for this beautiful genre. I will continue to enjoy your furniture pieces. Thank you again for your sharing.
