Hope you ENJOYED this Antique Mall Visit! This is one of my favorite local places to visit. Can't wait to show you more. Thank you for all the SUPPORT! Barry
I am so happy I found your channel! I grew up in Waukesha WI and had many friends who went to college in Madison! I spent many weekends there when I was visiting friends and we would hang out! I love all of your videos. You have a very calm voice and I love that you don't slap paint on everything that you come across just because you can! This video was awesome because it so reminded me of my grandparents. I swear to you I could smell my grandma getting ready to go into town when I saw some of the pieces. I could hear my grandpa's laugh and remember dancing with him (standing on his toes) when I saw the stereo cabinet! Thank you for this! You warmed my heart! ♥️
I am enjoying the antique tour so yes, more please. To answer the question: 1) anything art deco! 2) i would have to go through the books to see what they have.
There is nothing I love better than going to antique/flea markets :) I liked that old trunk and old art deco dresser:) So much fun to see it all, made my day :) Can we go every week please ? LOL
It would take me days to get out of that mall! I couldn’t even tell you all the things that I would like to have from there. Thank you for taking us along on your trip. Take care!
I'll gladly watch hours of this content. We don't have anything like that in South Africa and my jaw drops when I see all these vintage and antique pieces together.
I saw two things I simply loved. The 50s plant stand on legs and a tall 50s table lamp a few booths down, well there were several lamps in that booth I wanted, lol. Later I think I saw a pink flamingo picture. I too have been looking for an art deco radio. Here I see them for $75-125. Thanks for letting us tag along. It was fun.
I had a friend in the UK who had a church bell similar to the one at 3:50 (on the axle between two wheels). He sold it to a small church in the North Island of New Zealand where it now rings out every Sunday morning.
That jumbo glass vase and stained glass window would be coming home with me! I seen several other things that I really liked, the wardrobe for one was pretty neat. The large radio and planter were also nifty. I am one of the people that live vicariously through you, as I am disabled and couldn't walk through all of that so thank you for doing it and bringing me along!
I lived in Columbus for almost 10 years and visited this antique mall often. The one piece of advice I always gave to people was this: start as far up & away from the entrance as possible for two reasons. The first is a matter of real estate: the same item will be less expensive at a booth further from the door, because the cost for the booth itself is less (statistically, those nearest the door get the most attention/traffic) but number two, and I always stressed this one as most important: after a while, you will reach your visual input capacity. This mall is HUGE and there is JUST. SO. MUCH. STUFF. If when this happens, you start to panic or feel anxious (and a good portion of people experience this, at least just a little) the closer you are to the exit, the better! Then I'd smile a reassuring smile, and tell them "start on the third floor with the furniture".
I live outside Ripon and am considering a visit next time I'm down toward Madison. I use a similar strategy most of the time, but I'm definitely keeping your advice in mind! It's so hard to find good places for furniture that aren't hideously overpriced. This one looks like a gem!
Great video. I loved the vintage $238 buffet, the small inlaid wooden table, and the barrister's bookcases. I'm 61. Back in the 1960s, my father bought a stereo "hi-fi." When he had a stroke in the 1990s, I threw it out as a hunk of junk. I should have kept it based on the price I saw for one in this video.😊
Barry, imagine my surprise to see your video at the Columbus Antique Mall! My husband and I have three booths and a glass case display on the first floor. We sell vintage smalls, books and collectibles. There are ramps and a manual elevator there for easy access to all three floors for shopping. Currently, the booths are filled to the brim with vintage Christmas and holiday items. Please come and make a day of it! TFS.
Oh Barry, this was such a treat! I found myself saying "oh what's that over there?" and then realizing I am not walking with you, only watching! So many treasures to choose from. My grandson would have loved that basketball gumball machine.
Just a note on Hoosier cabinets: Manufacture of this type of baking cabinet actually began in the 1800's. By 1920 (the height of their popularity), the Hoosier company alone had sold more than two million units. Hoosier was neither the first nor the only manufacturer, but it was probably the most prolific. For people who actually USE their kitchens, they are an amazingly functional design.
You briefly filmed a vintage dress form that looked like it was crank adjustable. I would have wanted to buy that! I’ve been sewing for 18 years and I think old dress forms are so neat! So many cool things in this video!
I noticed it, too! And it made me dream a little, I thought about all those seamstresses who may have used it and the clothes that were made with it 🙂 P.S. I bet this dress form is way better quality than those currently on the market.
I saw that too! I came here, even tho the video is now 6 months old, to say I'd want a closer look at that dressform and a couple of the other interesting shaped dressforms! I love dressforms that are custom to specific era and style, it's fascinating! Plus I do love my corsets! :D
I'm a Canada resident and we definitely don't have as many places as you guys. (Which makes sense considering we're a younger country). Thanks for showing us around this cool spot!
It's been ages since I've been able to go to an Antique Mall. The one your are featuring is clean and well lit. I appreciate you going on this tour and taking me along: it was a good trip!
I haven't been to an Antique Mall in at least six years, so this was really enjoyable. Thanks Barry for letting us come along. The Art Deco dresser with the Bakelite pulls made my liver quiver.
I don't really go into antique places since they tend to be above my budget, but I just *love* browsing thrift stores. Just walking around, admiring the craftsmanship, getting crafting materials and taking pictures of stuff I'm curious about. I've recently gone into a rabbit hole of vintage sewing machines after buying myself a beautiful 1923 Singer hand crank machine. Those beauties are everywhere! Now I'm keeping an eye out for specific models I'd love to have.
Absolutely love this antique wooden wardrobe from Chuck's Woodbarn LLC! The craftsmanship is stunning, and it adds such a charming touch to my bedroom. Highly recommend checking out their collection if you're in the market for unique, timeless pieces like this!
I cook for pleasure and for a living so i always love to look for vintage cooking items. And ladies gloves. I adore them because i can wear them and they are so beautiful
Now this looks like it's going to be a fun one! Hope you find a train for under your Christmas tree again! Sure would be hilarious if you found a brass Santa Claus🎅❤👍
I would have to snap up that Lane Acclaim side table for sure. I also think maybe one of the barrister bookcases. It would be cool to store quilts in. Also the little gold bar cart. After all, you did say unlimited money so I am buying three items today. :)
Ok, loved this!!!!💯💯💯 I fell hard for the metal yellow truck with the red bed at the beginning and the off-white chimney cabinet somewhere in the middle, yummy yummy yummy. Yes 👍 more like these to treat us every now and again. Thanks for taking us out on the town.😍😍😍
I enjoyed the trip, thank you because i am one who cannot go to big buildings to go and see these items due to disability, to think i was a postal worker and every day i had to walk alot and drive, those were the days. Thank you again.
That was the best pie safe (aka Hoosier cabinet) that I have ever seen!!! I grew up in western NC and my grandmothers and one great grandmother had these in their kitchens… I saw it straight away when panned the room before walking down the ramp… so many memories. Thanks for sharing this!
I loved this walk through of the antique mall. I would have purchased the stained glass window and the waterfall desk and dresser. If money wasn't a problem. I can't wait for the second part of this mall.
I've never been here but have added it to my "places to visit" list! Thank you! i really liked the Lane end table, and the colors in the lamp at the 9:24 mark; Can't wait for part 2!
I would be in heaven in the antique furniture. I grew up in a house full of antiques. I would have purchased that chest of drawers in the dark stain. It was beautiful, and needs some love.
The metal Ferris wheel i saw is so so cute, and there was a bear statue at around fifteen fifty eight mark. so that one was cute too. reminds me of my grandmother
If money wasn't an object, and I had all the space I could want for antiques, I would get that beautiful stained glass you pointed out and the treadle sewing machine. Thank you for your videos! They are very calming and I like your appreciation for the history and workmanship of the pieces you select!
Love that video. Congratulations on your milestones Barry. Yours is my favorite channel. That shopping area so many beautiful items to choose from, or should I say I would choose. Thank you for your content.❤

Yes that is true. I did that at the flea market as well and other places like such.
Todo muy lindo pero prefiero los cachivaches destruidos y apolillados que vos conseguis por 20 dollars y luego los dejas como de 10^10. Preciosos!
