Those phones with the long cords brings back memories. The only place to talk in our home and get any privacy when I was a teenager was to talk in the BATHROOM! LOL!
This orange decoration is polish, and it is from Cracow The name of this piece is dożynki, and dożynki is type of Harvest Festival that we a celebrating in polish countryside
My mother had a penguin ice bucket. But then, I was raised in a mid century house with mid century decor. In your videos I see so many items that bring back memories.
Laura I love that black hat you picked out I’m a New York City girl I thrift to resell, I use to be a manager for Barneys New York and I’m all about fashion and that black hat with the scarf attached is everything ♥️
Thanks, and yes you pronounced aluminium correctly, that's the first time hearing it from an American for me in the UK and I used to be a UK aerospace contractor for Mc Donnell Douglas then Boeing. Now eggplant is an aubergine in the UK its proper name thank you....lol. Huntley and Palmer are a famous historical and present biscuit company, well known for their Chocolate Olivers among others. They were also famous for their elaborately decorated biscuit tins. Loving the vlog as always, happy vibes!
I’m bilingual! I speak British and American! 🤣. I know my fair share of cockney slang and all the alternative words and pronunciations. (Some embarrassing like, “show us your pannies then”. Means “show me your hands” when speaking to a little kid). My best friend and soul mate was a London native ex pat. An ex Scotland Yard detective. I myself am an incurable Anglophile.
Scioto inn indeed gorgeous, and I see you were met with Michael too along with Jeffrey and Misty (tall man with mask). Love the hat you looked gorgeous, its fun to see the Heart from others perspective. Thank you
Urbana is pronounced. UR - BAN - A. Also I have 2 booths in the Heart of Ohio Antique Center. So thank you for featuring it in your video. Super cool to see what others think about the Center.
My Aunt had a penguin ice bucket. I would love to get one..I love the things that you are drawn to. Thanks for taking us along on another shopping trip
It was the phone on the kitchen wall that had the loooooong cord that was in a constant state of tangle, AND we had a party line with the neighbors!! Talk about dating yourself..................😉 The fridge was avocado green and the phone was a luverly harvest gold!!😁
That hat is a find, because it looks INCRZEDIBLE on you, reminds me of like Casablanca, or something, and looks sooooo sophisticated and feminine!!! Love it, Love this video! some great stuff at that place!
Hey Laura. I just watched your Springfield Extravaganza video. Now I see you also went to the Heart of Ohio. My husband has a couple of booths there. In fact the large cement lion on the porch at the beginning was ours. It was cool to see. Thanks for taking the time to let your viewers get a look at what you do. Take care.
What a great video! I was hoping to hear that your FedEx box had been found and was sad when you mentioned it’s still out there somewhere! My fingers are crossed that it magically appears when you least expect it! 💕
I often watch your show while doing my chores just because i love the way you sound your voice is soothing and you describe things so well - I particularly took interest in this episode because of Springfield and its proximity to where my mother is resting in peace - anywho i had to rewind when i heard you say urbauhna - thinking is she talking about Urbana - (rhymes with banana ) and you were! That is a beautiful little town and thank you for showcasing it - I love your channel!
One of my absolute favorite antique malls! The town's name is actually pronounced Ur-ban-a, like banana. Also, the carts are for the vendors and porters---lol. You may also want to check out Antique Village, Ohio Valley Antique Mall, and The Springfield Antique Center to name a few of Ohio's best! Glad you had a blast!🥰
I’m inspired by your ever-increasing comfort on camera. 💕 I’m told by my closest friends and family that they catch glimpses of my true personality… but I worry that my brand of goofy won’t be for everyone. 😜 Then I watch you… and you’re making rotary phone sound effects and tucking your hair into “flops” and it’s that level of silly, authentic that I love (and obviously others too!) ❤️
Let that goofy out!!! I am a terrible “actor” so the more I just be my real goofy self the easier it gets being on camera. I’m still shocked everyone I put out a video that people want to watch it 😂 But I’m soooo grateful 🥰❤️
Also… honestly I hid behind my brand and my pretty photos for years in fear that if people saw me or got to know me they would realize I wasn’t cool. It’s very freeing (also terrifying) to put yourself out there but the truth is you want the people who accept you, flaws and all. And it’s been so rewarding. Hope this encourages you to just go for it!! 😘❤️
@@leftcoastrevivals ❤️ In my previous life of advertising/marketing/graphic design I learned that my brains were my biggest asset but was reminded (constantly) that my weight and my looks were "an issue" (I took a back seat.. hiring younger, pretty people to present my vision in pitches.) I never intended to put my mug on camera when I started the channel, but my viewers encouraged me. And now I'm finding my soulmates in the community (like you 💕) who don't even know how much you motivate me to do it better and to just be me. Well... ok... now you know. 😘 So much love to you!
Huntley and palmers is a biscuit factory in my home town of Reading gb . They have been making biscuits since 1841 they are are no longer producing but there is a market for the tins still . In our museum there is a whole display .
Oh my gosh! You mentioned Skate World! I loved Skate World! I remember they had "all night parties", but I was never allowed to go. I did go as often as I could to the regular skate hours, however. In fact, my name was carved in the mountain mural at the Gresham location (sssshhhhh, lol). 😉
How did I miss this post yesterday? I am here for it now though:). I saw my ring in this video! I love my new ring! I was busy at 3 p.m.on the day of your last sale, but I logged on anyway & could not believe you still had some items available, I was so excited! Thank you! xo
Im loving your travel videos so much. You show many very pretty towns and of course cities occasionally too so a lot of enjoyment to be had when "travelling with you and Jessie". Great finds and lots to learn. Looking forward to many more like this one - thank you. xx
Love the hat with sides! Didn't Katherine Hepburn wear one in a movie? I hope you bought it! I can't believe all the fabulous vintage pieces you showed! Heaven on earth!!
Trench art was made by soldiers who were stuck in the trenches in WW1 for long periods of time they would use old shell casings and etch on them. They fetch good money. Alot of pieces are in personal collections. But you can find it. LOL! I grew up with rotery phones had a pink wall phone like that and we also had a skateworld and a skateland for rollar skating. But thats what kids did back then, that and ice skate in the parks which was a blast, we did that instead of burn down buildings. Love the polish throw rug.
What a wonderful video and as always you find the most amazing pieces. Your videos excite me as I always know they are going to be packed with great shots of beautiful and amazing pieces. The silver rings were fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing. How’s little Italy coming along? ❤️❤️❤️🐝
Please know the joy you bring to others by posting your videos. We are 3 + months into lockdown and seeing you enjoying and exploring makes for a happy heart ♥️
I just LOVE your filming style, it's just so fun!!! Jesse and you are adorable together!!! I received my Flower Ring yesterday (Silver, 12k and CZ) I LOVE it and it fits perfectly!!! TFS. ❤❤❤❤
The banter between you and Jesse is sooo cute! You two are adorable. And the things you found here were absolutely amazing! I think I want it all! 💙 My folks had a long cord just like that on our kitchen wall phone. And yes, it enabled us to sneak around the corner and have "private" conversations with our friends!
The Rug is more likely a small wall tapestry, this one is from city Kraków, made by a S. Wyspiański workshops cooperative. Stanisław Wyspiański was chosen as patron of this organisation, because he was a polish Art Noveau artist, and was also interested in folk art of Kraków area.
Thanks so much for taking us along on these adventures. I love that your also take the time to turn the pieces over and give us a lesson in what to look for and the different artisians. it would be fun to spend a day with you in an antique mall as the lessons would be so much fun to learn first hand. It is amazing that you still keep learning new things and it adds to the value of your shopping and sales. Keep it coming!!!!

Hi Laura! Greetings from Brighton on the South Coast of England. Absolutely adore your vibe. Such a great mix of fun, thrift, education and joy. Hope the renovations are going well x
So many great pieces. I guess I'll have to plan a trip to Ohio soon. :-) ***Laura, can you please tell us about your NAILS?!*** They are fantastic and I'm just intrigued with their perfection. And the robin's egg look is just stunning. Are they real? Press on? Please tell!
I'm really coming around to these mid century art pieces I've always lovely the furniture but now I think your enthusiasm for it is opening my horizon. Xxx
Ahhhh! I want to go to those shops! There is nothing where I live. That rooster(?) wall decor was amazing! I would have got that. That black hat that ties under your chin is so adorable! It looks great on you. It must be fun running into other TH-cam people. Don't tell them, but you're my favorite. I love your style, your knowledge, and your personality. I always look forward to your videos. Safe travels to you and Jesse.

Those long curly phone cords were LIBERATING! And so cool. I’m dating myself now to say I can remember them, and a time before them! 🤣💚💚💚
Me too. That phone style and long cord were so modern! And we NEVER had to say “can you hear me now?”.
We used to play jump roap with them in the kitchen. Mom was never amused...
It was the phone on the kitchen wall that had the loooooong cord that was in a constant state of tangle, AND we had a party line with the neighbors!! Talk about dating yourself..................😉 The fridge was avocado green and the phone was a luverly harvest gold!!😁
