    To answer some stupid comments like why only 600hp ? Stock fuel system, stock transmission and emissions legal with the 2 factory catalytic converters.
    Some of the comments not very smart thinking you can just add a couple turbos and have reliable 1,000 whp.

    • @dragking9735
      @dragking9735 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      if you want a car to be reliable and can be used daily with a big power, 600-700hp is enough if you dont want your tranny and rods goes kaboom

    • @MassageWithKlay
      @MassageWithKlay 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @JMFA88 of course there is, you get to sell someone a second turbo and all the piping that goes with it :D

    • @justinlabarge8178
      @justinlabarge8178 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Yeah, why twins? Why not just supercharge it? The stock blowers go up to 700 horse and you don't have to mess with exhaust and Intake routing

    • @jeffgallegos2748
      @jeffgallegos2748 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @JMFA88 Have you looked at exhaust routings for single turbo V8 systems. Packaging and installation issues are why twins are popular for V8 conversions.

      @Dave Micolichek to much pressure inside the combustion chamber can, even if you have low RPM if your Rods can't handle it due to boost pressure it will snap

  • @CHUUMPASS

    very nice package, it looks like a factory stock option , nicely done ! especially love that it looks unassuming, well build and sorted.
    and it won't break the bank as all major components remain can be run and need not be replaced.
    really great !

    ---- FOR EVERYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ONLY MAKING 600 HP-----
    They are on stock camshaft, valvesprings, and pushrods. Understand that they're showing off just the kit. With updated valve train of course the kit would be able to run up WAY higher numbers.

    • @jeffcroft10
      @jeffcroft10 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      dean Smith and they even said it’s running on 9 lbs of boost. Sounds about right to me.

    • @danield9021
      @danield9021 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      600 doesn't seem much at first until you see the gain. Stock it ran 383whp and 603 with just 9lbs of boost.... thats a 220whp gain just from pure boost a lil more fuel from the ever so slightly larger injectors.

    • @armaggedon4christ
      @armaggedon4christ 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      600 is terrifying if youve never driven it....can get out of hand...rapidly

    • @PurpleHeartVR
      @PurpleHeartVR 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they removed the cats or put in higher flowing turbo designed ones and put the intakes in the fender, it could easily tap 650 or more...Maybe even use meth injection and hit 700 safely.

    600 is not going to raise any eyebrows, but these guys are far smarter than most. I know because I have been down this road before.
    I added twin 50's on my '00 Mustang GT with 8psi.
    First to go was the transmission in quick order. Rebuilt it, and it was quickly qranaded AGAIN. So, bought a heavy duty TKO 600.
    And then...the motor lasted a few short weeks before I had to replace it with a built unit. And then...fuel system, supporting mods, and 65K later it was finally done.
    In conclusion: "There is no way in hell the stock engine/transmission could hold anything more than what they tuned it for. Hell, they could have turned the boost up high enough to make a bomb.....
    BUT WITH A STOCK ENGINE? WHY!?🤔

    Safe and reliable kit if you're not touching anything in the engine. Doesn't seem like much with the numbers guys are cranking out of 5.3s but keep in mind that, at the very least, they're filing rings and upgrading the valve train. You can't go crazy on stock rings or the ring expansion will cause the ends to meet and then push up or down busting apart the piston. Also, stock cam isn't an optimal grind for boost and stock valve springs will introduce valve float much sooner with boost behind them.
    This is a pretty straight forward bolt-on, plug and play kit. Pretty dang good for what it is, too. Small twins will spoil fast and feel about like a roots blower without any parasitic loss

    Bolt on superchargers make 600 hp too. I don't know why they'd "sneeze" at that. The Z06 and ZR1 use Eaton "bolt on" superchargers. It is true that you can ultimately make bigger gains with twin turbos, but at 600 hp, they're still in the same performance range.

    • @MrYash310
      @MrYash310 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PurpleHeartVR Right, in 2014, the zl1 started around $55k (i know because i was looking in to at the time).
      The zl1 came loaded, packaged roughly with the same as a 2ss , which was around $40k. The ZL1 came with more track tools also.
      Yes, that is a difference of $15K. Don't know how much this kit cost at the time. Lets not forget that unless you know what you are doing, you will need to hire someone to install this professional (voiding the gm warranty).
      I'm guessing at the time, it would cost $7k to purchase this kit and install it (pulling that number out my ass to be honest).
      Would rather spend that $8k more and get something with a factory warranty.
      But I guess time has proved this was not a good investment. You can one for so cheap now used.

    I get 600HP with a power adder on a stock motor but why bother with twin turbos if that's the goal? Seems like going with a blower (like a used one off an LSA engine that everyone has been doing for years) would be more economical and clean. Even with the prices going way up on the used market, it can still be done for less than half of this for similar results.

    I want Part 2 of the 632ci Blueprint engine bro, I've been wanting that engine since Jegz showed me in an email it was built n existed at $12k..lol

      Ha! I had one in a big airboat we ran. It made over 900 hp but didn’t last long. Currently running a mild 650 hp 503 stroker motor and it’s much more reliable

      TigreLoko24 so it wasn’t built by blueprint, it was a custom builder out in Alabama. It had billet rods and forged pistons and crank with dart 2 heads. The engine was made to pretty much go down the drag strip and be torn down. My idiot boss at the time thought it would be cool to buy a 17,000 dollar drag engine for an airboat. We had an engine builder out here in California try to rework the motor to make it more reliable but it was just doomed from the get go. At the end of the day, I ended up calling the guys who built the airboat and asked them what engine they ran in that boat and they directed me to their engine builder that made a reliable engine for us. I think it was in the neighborhood of 11 grand.

    Can the stock internals in the LS3 handle the horsepower, also is would the rear end need an upgrade so it doesn’t snap?

    • @jasonalward4720
      @jasonalward4720 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The stock internals have held 800-900hp. But needs ZL-1 FP the axles can handle 1000. My guess for the weak link is the guibo couplers. I already tore 2 rears. 1 piece driveshaft and new carrier and sway bar n endlink bushings.

    Im trying to understand this. But all the plumbing and hair dryers for 600 horses? Would've been easier with a procharger and injectors. And no lag. But maybe I'm missing the point. And easier to maintain. I guess I'm over thinking this.

    • @larrynance17
      @larrynance17 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see some comments saying that people aren't thinking. It's to be reliable. But that's my point. It seems to be a waste of money and time for all of that when a simple procharger will work. And I don't have to tap into both sides of the oil pan and unbolt manifolds. Relocate coil packs. And etc. For a reliable 600 buff horses. But it's just my opinion.
