Great video. Can you post a pic or show in your video of the Niro EV, the front passenger seat forward all the way and fully reclined and show what it’s like if the funky headrests are removed? I like to put surfboards up the passenger side with the seat fully reclined and passenger headrest removed. Thanks

No worries, I'd imagine somewhere around 60mpg is probably accurate unless in heavy traffic. But if you keep the battery fully charged those 40 miles will really up that figure over the course of a year. I know a couple of people who have only filled up twice this year. Really depends on driving habits!

When it comes to comparing the price to the old model also remember that prices have gone up even since the pre-order batch (batteries are a big part of that increase) so even the old model would be more expensive if available today.

Absolutely but the point still stands, it was possible to buy the original car at that price.

I guess my American 2022 Touring HEV Niro needs a trip to the dealer's shop. MPG is never more than 43mpg and the battery never charges above the halfway point! First service due in October, still less than 2700 miles on it, that since end of May.

On the hev... At what speed the combustion motor becomes the primary motor?

I don't remember the exact speed, but Kia's own materials say around 25kmh is when the combustion engine kicks in. Unless you hoof it, in which case it happens before.

so range is in miles? and cubic space is in litres? I'm confused. what is the range in litres/100 kms? Let's pick an audience and stick to American or the Rest of the World.

the color isn't like in the video, the outdoor plastics look very cheap, the console isn't smooth, the 2 screens are very clearly 2 screens and aren't smooth designed. I bought one sight unseen as a companycar and I'm not happy

Based on insane petrol and diesel prices I'm not sure an overnight charge is such hardship for most journeys.

I know. It's a real hardship. I get home. I plug in (10 seconds). I go in the house and forget all about it. I have some dinner, watch some telly and go to bed. In the morning, I get ready, go outside and unplug (another 10 seconds) and drive off with a full battery, which cost me 3 quid. Its sooo much easier to visit a petrol station and empty your wallet. Probably.
I tell you what - you stick to the 19th century and leave the 21st century to those that get it. Cheers. :)
