Hey Scott , I wouldn't take issue with some of the comments I read on your videos . I am 72 years old and it's amazing how smart some of these people are ' after all most of them can't even change a tire , or think for them selves . I enjoy your videos and they are very informative . Keep them coming , and Alex is a great addition .

    Common sense ALERT
Yes 1 block can be used as I stated in the video plus I drive up over the blocks on on 4 wheels at one time so I'm only moving the car once.
For those who think I would move the car 4 times to do each wheel at a time, forgive me for not taking into account that some lack common sense.
    My bad!
    Thanks

Some of you people blow my mind!!
No one is forcing you to change how you do something. This video is showing how Scott does it. It is a great tip! It is about stream lining a process and doing it efficiently and professionally.
Before you start, put your blocks out, pull up and get busy.
Using a jack works, but takes longer. Increases chances to damage a clients car too.
2x4, bricks, dogs, stack of playboys will work too. This is just how Scott does it.
Yes you can pull forward. But in my head you are putting the clean tire in the dirt to do so. Then you have to pull forward again to dress the tire.
Again what ever works in your world is fine!

I’m told they’re really strong, they’re called Open Range ATs. But dirt won’t come out as good as it used to. Could it be the cleaner or the tires?

Scott, I watch all your videos and have learned a great deal from them, however this one fell short and I’ll tell you why. First, in order to do all 4 tires without moving the car would require 12 blocks (3 per tire) which is the way you prefer. Second, if you do one tire at a time, it requires you to move the car so why use them at all? Third, the blocks are sold 10 to a kit therefore you need two kits. Using one block per tire would make more sense. Most detailers start with the tires so I assume the blocks are under the car for the entire wash/wax. The blocks you are using look brand new. Love the concept, just not sure how much you have actually used them. Love your channel. Just an observation.

    • @mercstryker
      @mercstryker 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I found them on Amazon in a 4 pack kit for $12. Personally I just do all my tires then move the car forward a foot and finish them.
When I do put a finish on the I use a foaming type rubber cleaner. Then a good quality tire shine. Moving the car is no big deal in a concrete driveway that I always clean first before doing my car. No garage just a carport and concrete parking area.

Great idea! But, really, a whole lotta blah blah about something that could have taken 30 or 4o secinds to introduce. I kept watching and wasted my time because i thought we might eventually hear about the more important parts of what products to use and how to apply. Click bait!

At home maybe but as a business it would be a waste of time to drive each car up on those blocks to get just a good finish as it was on the ground

It takes me 10 seconds to move my car 5 feet forward to fully clean my tires and another 10 seconds to move it back to dress it but thanks for the tip scott
