Thanks for the video. One main comment: All your commentary should have been recorded at home on top of the video versus in-person with the equipment. There were many sections that the viewer can't understand or hear you. Also your at-home mic has issues.
Really interested in your review on the pix4team. I ordered one but sent it back and got the Veo 2 after I was frustrated enough with the poor AI ball tracking on the pix4team. Great concept and superior video quality but the ball tracking was horrendous. Veo 2 tracking is phenomenal but the video quality isn't great. All of the options have pros and cons. Trace for one is not worth the cost because the tracers are not very accurate. When it says the keeper covers more ground than the striker, you know the tracking is terribly inaccurate. Curious how the Pixellot video quality is compared to Veo 2.
The nice thing about all the cameras is that they can update the tracking logic, whether it's on the server or firmware of the camera, to make improvements in tracking so they all get better over time at tracking the ball.
Hi, Have you had a chance to test Pix4Team2? Actually, my goal is to be able to rotate the camera left and right with a joist. Pix4Team2 interests me. It seems to have a phone control option.
I haven't tried it myself but one of the teams that rented a Pix4Team from us is now testing out the Pix4Team 2 that we bought. we'll see what they think. On the Pix4Team you shouldn't have to rotate the camera since the robot is supposed to do the panning/zooming for you
Our team just ordered a veo 2. Unfortunately that was a month ago is just now being shipped. Their customer support is great, but the whole shipping ordering process could be more streamlined.
I'm sorry, that's frustrating! Is your camera on the way now? We do offer cameras for rent for teams that are without one for a while - EasySportsVideo.com/start
Also had a Pix4team for almost two years. I don't think I was able to record a full game with full sound once. Only plus it doesn't require subscription, but save your money...
Here's an update, recorded the same game with Veo and Pix4Team last weekend. Here's a writeup of what I learned - soccerstripes.com/veo-camera-vs-pix4team-soccer/ and here's some comparison footage of Veo vs Pix4Team - th-cam.com/video/c4szf450D2U/w-d-xo.html I also did a different game with Veo and Trace so I'll share some clips of Veo vs Trace
Yes, each of these cameras has a monthly plan. The camera prices & plan rates have changed over time that's why I didn't include it the video, don't want to old info included. You can see a look at some pricing comparisons at easysportsvideo.com/start
Yes, those will definitely be coming. this was just a first look at each camera. Future videos will have more about the pros/cons of the cameras and include sample video
There are a few options, they don't have as many features or host the videos for you but I'm testing out a few now. I can let you know what I find out.
Hi Andrew, I probably won't put prices in the videos because they change over time and there are occasional promotions so i don't want the info to be outdated. But I can send you a comparison if you email me ben@EasySportsVideo.com
Hi, you can see games clips here - th-cam.com/video/tu_7Trz7Pi8/w-d-xo.html You can see a review of the veo 2 camera here - soccerstripes.com/veo-camera-2-review-record-livestream/ we'll have more on the Pixellot, Trace, and Pix4Team coming this month. If you have questions you can email ben@easysportsvideo.com
Why did you unscrew the Trace camera from the tripod? All you have to do is unscrew the black holder from the tripod and then the camera. Also, Trace Up automatically sends you chopped up highlights thanks to its AI the next morning. The issues we have faced with TraceUp is a couple of Tracers stopped working and weren't uploading the players individual data. But being able to see each players top speed, graphical position on the field, wtc, is cool.
Hi Chris, you’re right there is an easier way to do it. I just hadn’t figured it out yet- I did a demo here for others - th-cam.com/video/axRMIq2KV_U/w-d-xo.html
Hi Mark, unfortunately I've been a little delayed. Due to our kids soccer schedule I've been putting off some surgery I needed for most of the year. I finally had to get it take care of so that's put me a little behind schedule. Sorry to those who've been waiting to see what we learned. Still working on it, just running behind.
Hi, some of these cameras can do that now. For example they can tag goals, shots on goal, freeckicks, corner kicks, goal kicks and then you can go in after the game and filter clips on some or all of those events.
Can see a "start live" at 1:23 I guess Pix4team does it too.. dunno if they have recurring costs though...these type of cameras usually require subscriptions..😅
Hi Jean. I know they all plan on offering it at some point, which will be great! I've live streamed probably over 50 games with the Veo so far. I've had battery/power issues with the Pix4Team as I mentioned in the video so unfortunately I haven't been able to use it as much as I'd like. It does look like you might be able to stream it to Facebook or TH-cam. Once I get Pix4Team repaired I'll give it a shot. I know pixellot and Trace are looking into how to livestream but it's not an option at the moment. Hopefully in the future!
Hi Jason, I haven't ever tried it before but since it works for multiple field sports like rugby, american football, soccer, and lacrosse my guess is that it probably would do a decent job. Only way to know for sure is to try it out. We do rent out cameras to test but we haven't sent one to Australia yet. If we can get a few teams interested to make it worth the trip we could look at renting you one. I can also check our rental network, you can email me ben@easysportsvideo.com
Hi Brandon, sure we've rented the Veo out for basketball teams last Fall. Now that soccer season is starting to wrap up we'll be breaking it out for basketball. Last season we recorded several games with a monopod from the stands, what tripod do you use?
Yes, they're all relatively new camera models and they're all available for sale. We sunk a chunk of change into buying all of them : ) the only one that's not yet available for general sale is the Hudl flex focus, sounds like its still in Beta
Yes, the Pix4Team has you put your camcorder on top of the robot and it manually pans and zooms the camera during the game and stores the footage on an SD card. So once the game is over its up to you to copy the footage where you want it and to share it with the players/fans. Since it doesn't have to do any processing of the game, analysis of the footage, or hosting/sharing the games it doesn't require a plan.
Hi Ben, thanks for you vids. Could you please tell us your opinion on the PIX4Team 2 ? Thanks.
The prices for these things are insane.
The best bet is for the team, club, or school to own it and then the players can spread the cost across the team or teams, that's been our experience.
Thanks for the video. One main comment: All your commentary should have been recorded at home on top of the video versus in-person with the equipment. There were many sections that the viewer can't understand or hear you. Also your at-home mic has issues.
Thanks Kevin, appreciate the feedback, thanks for watching! Working on making them better, learning as we go. The feedback definitely helps, thanks!
Thanks Ben, useful video!!

pix4team seems to be the fastest growing one, in terms of tracking improvement

When you buy these camera's is it a one time purchase? Or is it like a subscription ontop of the intial full purchase?
Some are a one time purchase, like Pixellot/Veo/Pixellot where you own the hardware. Others like Trace and Hudl you're leasing the equipment

Actual video footage of game comparisons would help. Have looked through your channel and can’t find Pix4team.

What is the brand/model of the ball head used for the Veo?
The one we're using there is the Koolehaoda KM-0 but there's a cheaper Neewer model - 360 Degree Tripod Ballhead
Which camera can you buy an own with out subscription?
There are a few options, they don't have as many features or host the videos for you but I'm testing out a few now. I can let you know what I find out.
Looking for a low-cost option for a high school program. Do you have a price breakdown on these somewhere to compare?

@@EasySportsVideo hi , I need one of. Them for soccer match , and I see you have try all . Which one do you prefer and for you the best ? Thanks
great video ! Do you thik in the meantime, some AI cameras are now able to track "soccer actions" like goals, tacles, keaper stops etc?
Hi, some of these cameras can do that now. For example they can tag goals, shots on goal, freeckicks, corner kicks, goal kicks and then you can go in after the game and filter clips on some or all of those events.
Veo already does that. Automatic full analytics including shots, passes, possession, free kicks, goal kicks etc etc etc
TraceUp does this automatically.
Are you sure that VEO is the only camera to do Live streaming ? I thought all of them did it
