There are 2 versions of the key for this Buick.
Prox, PEPS key, for vehicles with push to start on the dash (you keep your key in your pocket and press a button to start the engine) Strattec PN 5912559, GM PN 13504202, 13500224, 13585206

Thank You!!! I couldn’t figure out how to get the battery cover off (most things slide you know😂). I was ready to pay batteries plus $25 for their lifetime battery service😮. It took a trip to town, ~$2.50 and 10 seconds! You saved me $20 bucks today… now I’m going out for breakfast in your honor🤣!

Can open the fob and change the key 🔑 part?
Ok,but I have a problem with the buttons falling out of the fob, can I change the insides and key to a new shell?
Thank you. A question: we have 2 sets of keys, but one of them, whoever owned the car before we bought the car, broke the metal key off from the remote. We have a separate key. Is there a cheaper (than dealership) remote available)?
Batteries plus has the best deal for replacement fobs that I have found

I have a Buick Verano. Dealer charges $35 to replace. I was so afraid to do it myself because everything I read says you will loose programming. I called a lock smith and they said…no you won’t… they will change it for only $3… just the cost of the battery. 😃 I’ll just do it myself 😃I’m glad I ran across this comment thread on you post!!!
