    I have a LG LFXS28968S its been making a constant humming noise all day long for few weeks now. Its only 3 yrs old and we already opened up the back pannel to see if there was any ice built up there and the noise is still there. would it be the fan replacement you showed here our next step or should we try some other troubleshooting. Would appreciate help here!

    Huge THANK YOU. Er FF code started showing up but then vainshing a bit later. I googled the error and found the fan part number and your video. I was then able to replace the fan with really no challenges and I am by no means handy. The fridge is now cooling quietly and I am proud to have done it myself and saved hundreds of dollars and most likely, all of my food. No way I could have done it without your video. Thank you so much

    Very good video. Clear easy to follow instructions. Turns out mine only had ice build up around the fan.

    I've had the LG model LFX31925ST since 2013. I had to replace the freezer fan within one year, and just recently had to replace the refrigerator fan. This job takes 30-45 min if the freezer is already empty. The replacement is fairly easy, so don't be afraid to try it.
    For those of you with the same model as mine, you can get the back panel off by only removing the top left drawer guide (while facing the unit). No need to remove all 4.
    I would also recommend replacing the fan blades while you are in there. It's a $5 part.

      RedPoisonDartFrog, is there a video that shows how to do this? I have the same model, purchased in 2013. I've already had to replace the compressor, the ice machine just stopped working and now there is an insane constant buzzing noise. sounds like it's coming from the back of the freezer.

    Hi I just bought LG refrigerator with bottom freezer. This is a model GBB59PZKVB with No Frost Air Flow. It has a weird working cycle: 20 minutes work, then 20 minutes doing nothing and 20 again 20 minutes work. I set it up for 5 degrees and -15 in a freezer. Is it normal to new refrigerators? I also noticed that it wasted 60% more energy than it has on a eco label - we were out or the weekend. Another weird thing is when I switched on express freeze it started howl really loud like a cooling fan in my car. Is it normal or I should call service?

    This video seems very useful especially when my refrigerator has been on the fritz since 8/12/15. The funny thing is that it is under warranty. It's now 9/10/15 and the warranty center still hasn't resolved my issue in regards to the refrigerator.

    Hello, do you have a repair video for a loud buzzing from LFX25974ST/04 French Door, bottom freezer drawer with water/ice dispenser in the door?
    I've had this fridge for just three years and it has worked great but now noticing this loud buzzing that stops when I open the door. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      I have exactly the same problem (and the same fridge for about 3 years now). I would also appreciate a fix without calling in a repair man. The temperature In both the fridge and freezer are okay.

    Oh I hope that you read this. My refrigerator makes a gurgling noise when I open the fridge or freezer door but stops when the door is close. Could it be an evaporator fan? It is still getting cold for now....

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually that is normal and fairly common. It is the defrost drain tube trap water gurgling when the doors are opened. Not really an indication of a problem with the refrigerator.

    • @Sykes86
      @Sykes86 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok thanks! I was worried that it was a fan because it made a loud noise where the freezer is even the door closed that started today. But after awhile it quiets down. Thank you so much for responding.

    Vwey good instructional video. But that fan changeout could be much simpler if the fan assembly could have its own removeable panel that would come out of the evaporator cover without the many steps needed to get the back panel out, Hey LG, need a design engineer? Pick me, pick me!

      I totally agree. However, just like cars, the people who design this stuff they never, ever… think about maintenance. Hmm. How can I design this so that no only is it functional, easy to use, efficient, but how can I make it so that it’s easy for people who need to maintain it? Amazing thought.

    One thing I'm not going to do is dismantle my fridge! Especially when it is still within its warranty.
