      @@Sohaib_gems Im handicapped so i cant go out and collect for myself these days. I was going to try with my daughter last year, but im to weak now to go myself. Im waiting to see if a motorized wheelchair gets approved by my insurance. If so, im back to rockhounding! But until then, im pretty much bed bound. Im paralyzed on my right side. I had a stroke from a massive brain bleed and i have permanent brain damage from it.

    I would like to see what these animals looked like when they were alive. all these things were carved mostly by people who hardly get a living wage.

    • @Gems-of-Hope-Rocks
      @Gems-of-Hope-Rocks ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well I will disagree with you on that generalization. I understand what you are talking about and absolutely you are correct for many parts of the gem/rock industry. However, from my understanding Morocco really tries to keep all of the work/profits with the tribespeople in the areas of mining. More like a series of community cooperatives.
      Remember, even if their local wages are lower/greatly lower than the American market, the cost of living is very different in the comparison. I would wager to say that they have a less stressful life than most people here.
