      @@lapidarydave true dat... so many ppl never venture outside their dens to see some of the most beautiful natural places in the world just days away out west. Those mineral shows are mind blowing and ppl who don’t want to get dirty can own these specimens that are purely awesome and affordable. Instead of buying what probably made in another country, and is a temporary fad-why not collect some of these interesting and rare one of a kind specimens from our Mother Earth 🌍. With Covid among us, I was thinking what great Christmas and birthday gifts these would be rather than something made in China. Just a thought. And the thought is what counts.

      Thanks for watching my friend :) people recognize me at Denver and Tucson pretty often I’m always so thankful when they tell me but I don’t really want to wear anything to promote it party because it would bring some attention that could hurt the videos lol a lot of people don’t know I’m filming and if they didn they would stop me for sure

    Hiya Dave, dude awesome video, that's some beautiful agates, just beautiful stuff.
    I can see all kinds of stones that would keep a aircraft from leaving the ground if I were there 😉. I've been too Arkansas and had to rent a U-haul to bring back quartz and other gemstones back home. 😁
    I hope you have a awesome and blessed day my friend. Cya!

    Love the agates. Have cut so many I. To cabochons. Great video Dave. The western show are a lot different than here in the east. You don't see the slabs sold by the pound so much here. And prices are a lot different to. Like watching and comparing.

      I would love to go to one of your local shows outside of the United States :) I plan on doing a lot of traveling overseas for the different gemshows when the Rona allows it

    Started this one in the morning but had to work, by the time I got back to watch, it was just what I needed to decompress. I was wondering if you might show us what you end up getting at the end of a show like this. Would be cool to see and know what you planned to do with the stuff. Thanks again!

      Definitely my friend I’m surprised I didn’t get any footage of it I made this video while I was at a friends house and didn’t have the rock around me to show it in the video I guess I’ll just slice it in a different video and probably give it away

    Hello bro. Nice video. I didn't thought there could be so many types of agates there.

    • @lapidarydave
      @lapidarydave  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s a whole world around agates most of the stuff we see are from the large deposits that a lot of people know about but since it’s a really basic type growth they grow all around in places we would never even imagine

    These guys are 20 min away from me! I'll have to check them out.
    I'm surprised I didn't see any Lake Superior Agates, given their locality. Is there a reason do you know?

    • @lapidarydave
      @lapidarydave  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think maybe one of the reasons is because they have a lot of exclusive stones that they get the best deals on over anybody in the world and what we would pay over $300 for would only cost them a dollar or less to buy and work lake superior agates are pretty expensive and I’m sure even though they could go find them selves paying somebody even an expert who could get a lot and make it worth it would be pretty pricey but I’m just speculating LOL on their website they might have some Lake superior agates But I really don’t know

    Hi Dave, I like your coverage of gem shows. My personal addiction is opal and anything with crazy color. Are you planning on going to Tuscon in February? Thanks, Dave.

    • @lapidarydave
      @lapidarydave  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello there my friend thanks for watching :) I do plan on going to Tucson this February our particular show starts late January and ends mid February a couple of venues have been canceled but those have all been indoor venues

    • @roughrockdesigns7080
      @roughrockdesigns7080 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for getting back to me. While you are there. Can you do an extensive video on Opal, specifically Australian. I'll be glad to pay you. Let me know.

    • @lapidarydave
      @lapidarydave  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roughrockdesigns7080 What kind of opals in particular would you like me to make a video on? Most of the Apple dealers in the industry are very kind to me when I film especially the Australians

    • @roughrockdesigns7080
      @roughrockdesigns7080 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dave, imagine climbing inside of a kaleidoscope as its turning. That's what I'd like to see. Tight close ups of as many stones with unbelievable play of color as possible. Also any type of stone that has "play of color" ammolite, spectrolite, super bright rainbow obsidian, etc. All natural stones of course, I hate treated stuff (except for Andamooka matrix opal). I love that. Thanks, Dave
